Thank you for your very useful video. Less than 1,600 beverages served and My ENA 8 is already suffering from the same problem. I can't believe an all-aluminum 1,000 euro machine may include a sleeve made out of cheap plastic for the valve. One would suspect this is intentional so the customer is forced to have the machine serviced after a few years of use.

It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.
One important tip to pay attention at when replacing the screws that hold the brewing unit to the back plate (1:53), is to do it in the right order since they are not interchangeable. There is one screw in one particular location that needs to be stainless steel so it won't corrode.
Thanks for an excellent video! I recently bought a defective J5 and got it to work by replacing the valve with a new one bought with the aluminium piece mounted. I also replaced the sealings for the valve and water tank. After assembling and every day it takes about three cups before coffe comes out of the nozzles. For the first cup comes nothing, the second cup maybe 2 table spoons and some air. A little more for the third cup but still some air. The fourth cup comes as it should. Grinded coffee in the waste bin for the first cups is dry.
Hello, did you put the seals inside the valve in the right place? The open side of the seals must be directed inwards. You can make a coffee without the coffee grounds container, like I did in my video. After that, you can see where the water is going.
Exact issue I’m having but spring and components seem to be working great, piston engages but then disengages and allows all water to bi-pass coffee grounds and all water goes into the bottom still… any suggestions?

Wylewka kawy drożna, a z wyjścia obok wrzątek leci. W trakcie odkamieniania płyn z wylewki capuccino leci, ale z wylewki kawy już nie. Czy masz jakieś wskazówki lub pomysły? Przed pojawieniem się błędu 8 wszystko śmigało pięknie, a kawa była pyszna. Juz za nią tęsknię :) Pozdrawiam
Cześć, sprawdź czy zaparzacz nie przeskakuje cyklu tzn. nie przechodzi do momentu w którym pobiera kawę. Dzieje się tak czasami jak już zużyte są plastikowe zapadki.

Witam, chyba masz na myśli metalowy zbiornik wymiany ciepła. Jeżeli jest nieszczelny to zalecam wymianę. Nie ma on jednak nic wspólnego z objawami które opisałeś. Pytanie: czy zregenerowałeś zaworek ciśnienia? To ten plastikowy trójnik z czerwonym "grzybkiem" w środku. Jeżeli tak to przyczyną usterki może być jednak ceramiczny elektrozawór.

Assembled brew unit back and still coffee is not coming out. I think coffee drips directly to the drip tray. Should I replace small plastic sleeve with aluminum sleeve on drainage valve? You need to check how much coffee is ground. If the amount of coffee is too low, the machine displays an error message. In this case, the grindstones may be worn and need to be replaced.
SO i am stumbed, i have followed your excellent video and what i am now getting is grounds dumped at the back end of the tray and only hot water coming out of the spout, zero coffee. Any ideas?
Before you put the brew group back in place, you need to make sure it's in the starting position. This means that the opening is ready to hold the coffee powder.

But i suspect it was more to do with how i installed it back in, loose screws as i didnt want to have to screw in and out whilst testing, but i believe that was my issue. Which has since resolved it, not sure it was to do with the starting position as that automates itself doesnt it? Hard reset to it is removing the used ground pan, whilst putting tray back in

I disassembled and cleaned the entire brewer unit. Put it back together and turned the machine back on. Now, when brewing coffee the water just falls into the drip tray behind the unit, not touching the coffee grinds. The coffee grinds then fall, dry, into the drip tray. Any ideas on what went wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a Jura Ena 8.
I am having the exact same problem on an Impressa X90 and the valve looks good.. I have removed it and all looks in tact. Any suggestions other than this?
@Volodymyr Balandiukh: You have to search the internet for "Jura Profi Auto Cappuccinatore". There were Jura models with different fine foam nozzles. Please check in advance whether your coffee machine has this adjustable professional fine foam nozzle or the simple fine foam nozzle. LG
This is a great video, but I cannot remove the plastic pieces just before 2:49 in the video. The are stuck at the point close to the unit you are removing at minute 2:49. For you it seems so easy to remove, but I seem to have an extra "hook" on each side. Any suggestion?
Two of the clips are somewhat hidden. Try moving the brew group to a different position, the clips will be easier to reach. You can feel them with a flat screwdriver.
My old F7 brews coffee fine and it comes out the spout. But in cleaning mode all the fluid comes out the drainage valve in to the tray and none of it comes out the spouts. Might that somehow be related to this issue?
I can't say for sure, but the seals in the drain valve could be defective. Is the coffee grounds container dry after making coffee? If not, this indicates a defective drainage valve.
Damn.... where can I get a aluminum piece ? Lol my last service was 400$ to fix this... now I believe it happened again. Now I'll take it apart myself to see if it actually is the plastic piece broken. 🤔
Search in your country for "Aluminum Cap Sleeve for Drain Valve Brewing Unit Suitable for all Jura Impressa". There are also versions in plastic or brass, all of which are well. But be careful with the valve, the bend quickly put on the cap. Before you order the spare parts, first check what has broken.
@@yt.myworks thanks. I took it apart last night and was able to access the spring and sleeve. Was not broken, I believe fine dust is causing it to not slide as smooth as it should. I wiggled it and manually closed and opened the valve by pushing the spring in and out a few times. Coffee is pouring g again.... lol go figure... you think food grade lubricant would help ?

Look thrugh the videos there is a video on how to put the set group in start position. The set group is in most cases the same onJura machines.

You'll need to replace the mold seals inside the valve. These wear out over time.

Either you buy a new drainage valve or you change the sleeve and the seals inside.

@Anri R I think so, that is the main cause of this error. But you should also clean the brewing group and install new seals.
@O S does the water get into the drip tray? If there is no water at all then the water pump may be broken. You need to check the pump.
Are you located in the USA and is it possible to have you repair my machine?

Yes, they all work on the same principle. Check that the outlet valve is working properly.

This can have many causes. Calcification of the hoses, defective water pump, leakage in the brew piston, etc.
