2.55 Marathon Proj. Ep. 1 | Becoming Stronger at Running

  • in 6 weeks time I run the Noosa Marathon and I want to run faster than I have ever run before! 2.55 is very ambitious of course, but you've got to believe and I'm manifesting the result and working towards it!
    In a 6 week series, I'm going to share with you everything that I'm doing to ensure that I can at least go Sub 3 again, pushing the 2.55 barrier I have set myself.
    I'm not sharing my process as a best practise or template to follow, I'm simply sharing it to open conversations about how to become a better athlete, whilst hopefully inspiring some folk to take on their next big run, whether that be 5k or 50k!

    I’m with Diogo … a workout I love for longer runs is a few hills (say 10x100/150) uphill hard downhill recovery and then 3/4km block race pace. And you repeat that 2/3 times (+wu/cd)

      I’m with you on the hills! When I’m doing consistent hills I feel stronger there’s no doubt - everyone wants to run fast and a 5k TT is incoming but not before some strength and hills I reckon!

    2:55 for you is lightwork. My prediction is you will do 2:45, you got this!!

    Hey mate, are you running Gold Coast? Would love to get some runs in with you and get some pointers in the lead up, since my mates all pulled the pin on it haha.
    I'm relatively new to running and can be anywhere in the Sydney region.
