A dude I spar with in class has a lengthy taekwondo background and he gets the best of me every time. I've been watching these videos religiously hopefully I can get his ass next week lol

very good tutorial and obviously both got legit skills. Unlike most tutorials, like even the trainer or the person showing the skill him/herself has barely any understanding of Muay Thai.
Honestly, Damien is like the king Midas of Muay Thai, everything he touches (or does) seems to turn to gold ha ha, he is an awesome coach, glad you liked it!
I noticed when Damien kicks (roundhouse kick), his standing foot is flat instead of being on the ball of his foot. Is there any particular reason to that? Great video by the way, Keep up the good work.
Good kicker won’t really kick deep though. Usually aims for the leg with the weight on it, or make you put the weight on it. If the guy throws a big round house kick when the opponent is able to move out from it, he’s not a kicker. Just a guy that loves to kick but sucks at it.
Jeff his style was so wierd it put me off. he was like standing side on ,dropping his hands and put his face out. I was like...dude we are trying spar, why are you showboating?
In Muay Thai, the main kicks are variations on the teep (front) and dteh (roundhouse). If you go further into the craft there are other kicks which closely resemble those found in other systems. There are also stylistic attacks such as the cartwheel kick made famous by fighters such as Saenchai. This video sees Damien dealing with countering those attacking primarily with the roundhouse kicks! Hope you enjoyed it!
Just great!! if somebody has doubts if it works just have to watch your fights, you do everything you teach!! Great tips! great lessons!!

As a kicker, this is useful
That feeling when the shins collide though...
Double leg ! Double leg ! I joke, nice work, thanks !
Everyone is talking about the roundhouse Thai kick. I don't get it. You just kick him on his arm. Why?
graceas
De nada!!

The starting music is annoying
you remind me of a brummy version of my coach
Ha ha, you must have a great coach then ;-) Damien is awesome!!!
I thought he was wearing pointy boots...
Is there any other kicks apart from front and round kicks
had some guy tryna axe kick me full power to the face today during sparring. them fuckers are deadly
That's fucked up bro, I'd have to toss them🔊
Jeff his style was so wierd it put me off. he was like standing side on ,dropping his hands and put his face out. I was like...dude we are trying spar, why are you showboating?
