He has a nice (damn near perfect in my book) mix of neoclassical, melodic, and rawness to his playing. It's like Paul Gilbert, Lynch, Michael Romeo, and Alex Skolnick rolled into a blender of sorts. It's really great to listen to.

Such an incredible guitarist and songwriter
You know what when some guitarist play there own shit sometimes it wouldn't sound as good as studio quality, he had a rare gift to be able to absolutely kill every performance and sound good doing it.. R.I.P Alexi man a rare talent taken too soon.🙏

Actually gonna agree on that last statement. I'm a life long guitar player and sometimes I paint my nails when I get in a rut. It's like having finger trackers that make it easier to precisely nail notes, thus cleaning up some sloppiness.
How the hell the Alexi figure out that guitar tone? So thick and clear at the same time. It seems to only function with his style of riffs. Playing anything else, sounds like mud.
The gain boost EQ preamp he uses is just insane. You can turn the gain boost off (the EQ stays on) when playing lower on the neck for more clarity, but switching it on makes for an amazing 'lead' tone. Hella punchy. A little chorus helps too.
I always wondered if it was not difficult for him to reach the highest frets but I see was kind hard, l would love to get more access on my LTD Alexi but it was a nice guitar
You know what I find interesting is that Alexi takes his fingers way off the fretboard, yet still does an awesome job, so much for economy of movement eh?
