*The biggest tip here if you can already play is probably using the pinky in your power chords. When I warm up, I put a lot of focus on pinky articulation but hitting power chords with it for many of us would be enough.* I haven't done that on a regular basis since I was 17 and taught myself to play on an acoustic.
power chords with pinkie are easy not sure there is a difficulty, real difficulty arises in scale runs for instance Yngwie and Marty try to eliminate pinkie as much as possible meanwhile Petrucci incorporates it as much as possible!
@@MsDavo123 I use it extensively and on both hands when I play 2-hand touch. I have a 4' long 10 string with a 38" scale that I need to finish rebuilding soon.
