  • Hey you!
In this video I would like to show you Shiraz - the favorite Iranian city of many tourists.
I will show you 5 types of Persian/Islamic historical building in Shiraz, and how they are related to Islam, and Perisan lifestyle.
    1. Shah Cheragh holy shrine (and how to visit a shrine)
    2. Vakil mosque (and its functions)
    3. Khan school (and I saw they restoring traditional windows)
    4. Vakil Public bath (old bath house and how ti works)
    5. Persian traditional house (and its patterns!)
I am trying to present the culture of Iran to my best :P.

Iran, the land so despised by the west. The persian architectures are magnificent.

I’m enjoying this series on Iran so much! I think in the west we hear such negative things about Iran politically we forget about it’s amazing culture. Thanks for readdressing these imbalances. Your quiet, calm and natural presenting style is a welcome change from many other travel channels…it’s no surprise that local people enjoy talking to you so much 😊

To be quite honest, even I, an Iranian wasn’t so inquisitive about my own culture as you are, and didn’t know some of the different nuances that came from different points in history, nice to see you like this beautiful city, it’s one of my favs. It’s also intriguing to see differences and similarities between the Chinese and the Persian culture, I was fortunate to see some of it during a trip I took to Nanjing, but I’m glad to be able to see it more extensively.

@@littlechineseeverywhere I live in Kuwait, but I was supposed to live in China while I studied in Nanjing, however, universe had other ideas and Covid happened and now I am in Kuwait, studying online.

@@littlechineseeverywhere yes it has been quite difficult but it is what it is. Sure, if I make it back to China we can figure something out. Are you passing bu Kuwait or do you plan to explore it?

Wow, this was a fascinating tour of Shiraz's architecture! The intricate details on the Shah Cheragh shrine were stunning, and learning about the different building functions was really interesting. Especially loved seeing the traditional window restoration at Khan school. Makes me want to visit Iran someday and experience this rich culture firsthand! Thanks for sharing!

Correction...instead of "public bathroom", these are public "bath houses" and specifically used for bathing.

It’s not Islam architecture. It’s Persian architecture. Arab and Turkish architecture is totally different than Persian architectural even though they are Muslim.
