How to Install Upper Cabinets in Laundry Room

In this video I install upper cabinets in our laundry room. As part of the process of showing how to install upper cabinets I explain how to use a ledger board, and how to scribe a line for getting a tight seam between a wall and a cabinet filler trim piece. I also show how to transpose wall stud positions onto the inside back walls of the cabinets.

I was looking for installing wall cabinets in my laundry room and came across your video. Thanks for explaining clearly. Where do you buy the cabinets from? Can we attach a rod between the two cabinets to hang clothes?

We got the cabinets from Lowes. You might be able to, however I think you'd need to add some extra support on the wood as the cabinet walls are not that thick. It really depends how much weight you plan to hang on the rod. Less than 25 lbs I think you are okay as is.

2-1/2" screws.

Hello sir ,
I m trying to drill hole through the wooden studs in the wall behind the washer and dryer but some metal is blocking the drill .
Do you have any idea abt what it could be ?

They put metal blocking pieces on the wall studs where the plumbing lines are running through. This way you won't punch the pipe and cause a leak by putting a nail or screw it. You are lucky they were there. Otherwise you'd have a big water leak problem.
