Did you use dry wall anchors at all?
Worried to hang a bigger cabinet and the drywall anchors rip out once it’s stocked
@@jasonmamoa6660 we used 4 40lb drywall anchors. And that thing is not budging. Been up since July and it’s full of heavy bath towels.

Thanks for your video.Just two anchors on the drywall. I was wondering if they are strong enough to support the weight of the cabinet?
Yes, just make sure they are rated for the weight of the cabinet. One of my screws is anchored into a stud

My cabinet calls for #12 3 inch wood screw for stud. I bought the only non flat head ones in the store. Instructions also require washer. But the heads of my new screws are tapered.
What specific screws do you suggest?

I recently acquired a hand me down bathroom cabinet. The backing is thin particle board with no holes and I don't see any spot indicating where it was previously hung from. What am I missing? I'd love to put this cabinet up and use it.
If it's think particle board it sounds like it may be the type of cabinet that is recessed into the wall and anchored with the sides to the studs.

The screws won't go into the wall The screws stop and don't go all the way into the wall.

Sorry, but hanging a cabinet with two plastic anchors in drywall is not safe. Using these basic plastic anchors to support a cupboard will fail at some point because they don't hold onto enough drywall. Why would you not use at least one stud to support this or some drywall anchors with a much better hold on the drywall?

I disagree. I hang very heavy mirrors with anchors like that. Sometimes you don’t have a stud. Those anchors support a good bit of with. Some over 100 lbs.
