  • Night markets are always popular with the locals as well as tourists. They are part of the culture and can be found through Thailand. In addition to regular night markets special events will spring up to promote a certain area different times throughout the year.
    Din Daeng is a part of Bangkok that is mostly unknown to tourists. From March 19th to the 28th it is hosting one of the special night markets that caters to the local population. Lots of food and drinks can be found here as well as activities for the kids. It starts up in the early evening and runs until around 10pm.
    The market is a great thing to do away from the heat of the day it’s it popular for families and friends to meet up and spend an evening shopping and eating.

    This was a fun night out. This walking street is not too far from one of the most popular night markets in the Rama IX area, Jodd Fairs. Here is the video of that market if you want to see more.

      Last year we went and the football stadium that is about 200 meters from here had a rugby game going on. Was a lot of fun. A total surprise.

    This is so fascinating. This may be a total “duh” question, but for all the stalls, whether for food, clothes, or souvenirs, is it cash only, or is credit/debit card accepted?

      Generally it’s cash but the last couple of years most places accept electronic payments. They will have a card to scan and do electronic transfers like rabbit pay or something similar. Don’t expect a card swipe at most places though.
