You genuinely have the most aesthetically pleasing knives on TH-cam. The angles. The angles of the grind that you leave on the blade. Your wood choices for handle materials. Elegant, simple, but also very modern yet also a timeless look. Beautiful work!
You have some great ideas! Ive never thought to leave the belt grinder lines on the blade and then tumble it. That gives the blade a really cool texture! Beautifully done! I'd be proud of that one!
That is sooo clean.. I lost a very special knife similar to this at my uncle's funeral recently on top of that my uncles very expensive knife Collection was lost/stolen. And I can't afford a knife myself. But have a small start of tools to make knives In the future. You've inspired me to try and make my own knife. Once I can afford the rest of the equipment I need. Thank you. Keep up the good work. Shout out from Southern Colorado
This is a perfect knife for anyone to buy , it’s perfect for anything , even daily cooking and eating. I think it would look awesome in a bachelors kitchen …. Or really anyone who wants a cool knife … but for me who is a bachelor it’s awesome because I can use it to cook and then use it to eat that same meal
Excellent knife! Nice wood, nice stone tumble finish, and I loved the rain storm scene. That was the best part of the video-reminds me of a couple of hurricanes I lived through when I lived there. No bad things to say about the knife. Thanks for the video
Thanks for the interest. I’m not selling anything as of yet, still just doing these for fun. I may sell a few at some point. If so, I’ll share those on my Instagram page (still in the works).
That’s beautiful. The geometry only has a few lines to it but each is exactly where it should be. The way you angled the blade bevel (probably not using the right term here) is especially good.

I have a rather noob question for you, if you don't mind. Let me start by telling you that I have worked with metal my whole career, as an industrial pipefitter and a commercial plumber, and I have been wanting to start making knives. So I am just trying to watch as many videos about knife making as I can, so I am somewhat familiar with the way that things go as far as order of operations. My question to you is, what is the purpose of putting the knife in the square tube instead of putting it underneath the flame directly? Thank you so much in advance, and thank you for sharing your BEAUTIFUL creations with us here on TH-cam! Cheers!
At the 10:10 time, what are you dipping it in? maybe i could commision you to make me a knife.Where abouts are you located? I really like your work, very nice!
Thanks! I'm using a diy electro etcher. If you are handy, you can build one from an old power supply. Otherwise, you could pick up something like a Personalizer Plus for around $225. You can order customized stencils from different sources, but I have heard good things about ordering from erniesknives.com. I used photoresist film for this build. Unlike the standard stencils, it is not reusable BUT it is cheap. It can be frustrating to use, especially with detailed logos. I wasn't able to capture etching the words on the handle, but it took around 10 tries to get it right. Here is a link to the film I used: www.amazon.com/dp/B07MMVPY1Z?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_dp_NPF9AJ7MNJYN0523XVEK
nice video and knife really enjoyed your video and craftsmanship. one tip mount your anvil like this I instead of --- this wil give it alot more mass wich will make it alot easier to forge
Only if keeping a sharp edge is important to that specific knife. Without heat treating, the metal isn't hard enough to keep that sharp edge. I have a build coming up that uses mild steel and won't be heat treated. Stay tuned.
What is it you have in the toaster oven in the back? Is that medal to help regulate and maintain the heat? I just bought a toaster oven and it fluctuates alot. Looking for help in making it not do so. Was looking at making the toaster oven into one of the PID controlled one with some insulation
It is just two pieces of 1.5" thick steel welded together. It does the job, but I really need to find a way to secure it. I am in the process of creating a whole new one with a stand. Video coming soon...
I´d prefer a knife with a (rather large) sharpening choil... Would probably be the first thing I´d do to this knife... It just makes (re-)sharpening that much easier
Thanks for the interest. I’m not selling anything as of yet, still just doing these for fun. I may sell a few at some point. If so, I’ll share those on my Instagram page (still in the works).
Curious why you “forged” the metal if you were going to just sand it all down? Asking for real. Did that first step help with durability or something else?
Man I gotta say ur style of knives is on point

14:59 working during a hurricane , that is dedication!
As long as I'm not getting soaked, I love working in the rain 😂

Excellent knife and excellent sharpening. Sharper than a blade.
You are a great craftsman!
Thanks!
Hey !! A Kant-Twist !! Haven’t seen one of those since I left the industry!!!
These are by far my favorite clamps. I’m always looking for an excuse to buy a few more.

Just found your channel. That’s a beautiful knife. You do great work. 👍👍. Just subscribed
Thanks! I appreciate it!
amazing work dude!
how do you make the sticker for logo etch?
I used PCB Photosensitive Dry Film to create the logo stencil. Check out the process in my karambit video:
th-cam.com/video/JKH1X0OXJq0/w-d-xo.html
Bravo.
At the 10:10 time, what are you dipping it in? maybe i could commision you to make me a knife.Where abouts are you located? I really like your work, very nice!
Did I read that correctly, your initial bevel and plunge was at 6 degrees? What angle did you end up using for the edge?
Love it
what are you putting on the spine and blade with the qtip? at around 15:20.
That’s ferric chloride. I was trying to darken the spine to match the blade.
Excellent work! What process is the engraving of the logo?

@@angrypineappleknives That's too bad. I hate the heat treatment process. I'm looking forward to it.
Hey how do I get a list on your knives for sale
В подмастерье возьмёте?
What is it you have in the toaster oven in the back? Is that medal to help regulate and maintain the heat? I just bought a toaster oven and it fluctuates alot. Looking for help in making it not do so. Was looking at making the toaster oven into one of the PID controlled one with some insulation
What is the forge ur using to heat the blade
He made it out of a scuba tank. He has a video of him making it
Who makes that forge if you don’t mind me asking?
He made it. Look at his other videos
I feel like I just have missed it, but how did you get the “feathers/scales” script into the handle. If anyone has the time stamp I’d appreciate it.
😬 Good catch, I didn’t end up filming that part. It was such a pain in the ass and I kept messing it up. I’ll likely not attempt that again.
@@angrypineappleknives was it cold stamped or what? It looks fantastic!
Why all the holes in it?
The holes reduce weight in the handle and give the epoxy a way to bond the two handle scales together.
Do you sell your knives? Really interested in this and the Karnivore,
Love The knife man can you give us some details about your anvil I actually I'm walking to do something similar

I'd eventually like to sell some, but I need to refine my skills before I charge money for these

Asking for real. Did that first step help with durability or something else?
How many psi is your regulator?
I think it's 125. I could definitely use a better compressor though.
It is small but it stings !!!
Beautiful work! But why you so mad, Brah?!
can you make a Damascus steel knife

Currently I don't. I hope to be able to sell some in the future

Nice looking knife but the the blade is too wide for a bird/trout knife. Needs to be thinner.
You should paint your forge to look like a pineapple on its side.
Ohhhhh, I like that idea

Can a guy not spend any money.. and just cut a shank out of steel and wrap the handle in raw hide? I think that would be bad ass.
You can but the problem is it won't really last long
