Hey guys, yea. Finally have them on. Feels not much different. But confidence is up like 200% 🤭. Not gonna test it though. This bird will only soar the cinematics. 🤟🏽
@@TheReelRahim hey Raheem I had a accident with my DJI FPV I was flying around and I didn’t see a branch that had huge leaves over hanging and it caught my prop and it immediately went kami kaze!! I was pretty high up and that bird came down hit my house and landed in the yard! Those braces saved it! The only part I had to replace was the right front landing “spike” or leg whatever it is, I ordered from drone cloud and got it in 2 days and replaced and it looks new again, It did rip one of the rubber feet off the batt but hey I can live with that….. I tell you it happens so fast and you have very little time to react!!! Wooooooowzers!!!!!
@@TheReelRahim so after some research I discovered that the bracers I ordered initially were counterfeit and immediately had cracks where the metal insert is that holds the bracer on by screw and returned them for the OEM bracers. I’d encourage everyone to inspect that connection because both of mine were cracked. I had only flown in sport and nanny mode and never crashed or hard a hard landing. I’m pretty certain those cracks would have prevented the bracers for saving the drone and may actually lead to a catastrophic failure should one come off while flying. Sorry I can’t post a picture but if you’re not clear on where to look let me know and I’ll email a picture. It was BAD news lol. New ones get here today so I’ve been doing a lot of sim time while waiting. First impressions of the DJI FPV are amazing and definitely worth what I paid vs putting together a diy. I just wish my avata would ship!! :)

Well done mate! Great repair job...seemed pretty straightforward in the end. Always had arm bracers on from day one so I don't know what it's like "vanilla" anyway. I kinda like them so...we'll see whether they're of any use. REMEMBER...the SPIRIT! loves you 👻👻💕💕👻👻

be careful the metal screw that mounts to GoPro I've heard it could interfere with reception 🤷🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️
Yep it will, but thats y my mount is up front, which is well away from the GPS puck at the back. Thanks for the heads up!
Hey Rahim, the arm you replaced, using original motor, is it ?
Yes im using the original spec motor. Its just that im using prop adaptors so as to use conventional diy drone props.

Regarding your experience, How "hard" it was? I mean: do you recommend to anyone try to fix it by them selfs or by DJI? It was more cheap? How about the Timming and finding spare parts?
I got the confidence only since i have built my own drones. Thats where i learned to solder too. Its already quite a task to take apart the cover of the DJI FPV, what more taking apart parts and components of the DJI FPV. I hope i have shared enough on camera so that anyone attempting to do so has a clear idea of what to expect as the journey goes. Cheap is true, as all i needed were the parts which are mostly available online. But also, depends if the damage is straight forward like mine vs something intricate like changing a motherboard, as there maybe system issues that i cant solve and may need to send it in aniways. U can always drop me a mail should such a situation arise. Details in 'About' on my channel. ✌🏽

Not at Barrage itself, but no issue in the surrounding areas. I usually fly at Marina Promenade and across the road from Barrage. Those are ok places to fly.

The arm guards save the two rear legs on my DJIFPV when the propeller in the rear broke air screw propellers where one of the three connecting pins broke I got a message in my goggles propeller guard hit but it was the propeller pin breaking flew back slowly and I was 2 feet off the ground just about to set it down it went backwards at high speed on its own, the battery got kicked out but it didn't break the arms it just scuffed up and broke one arm guards 👍🏻 worth every penny of the $15 American I paid for them, I bought another pair and put them on

Just crash mine today with arm braces on broke the motor off the frame

@@TheReelRahim yeah it was a heak of a crash cart wheels and flips and everything I hade the red luxurious props only 2 survived
I wonder if anyone has moved all the parts to a carbon frame? Finding one that would hold the gimbal and the sensors in a streamlined way might be an issue.
I've seen some videos try, but there isn't a frame that would really take it easily. Iv thought of doing so, like maybe just DIY that shit. But then again, there would be too many exposed sensitive components and i'd have to find some way to protect it. With such a build, i'm better off just keeping it in its stock form and best thing to have the braces for added stiffness.
@@TheReelRahim I may try it one day if I end up with a 3d printer to make parts to attach sensors and gimballed camera and crash the DJI FPV fpv badly.

Glad to hear. Its been flying really well with the braces. Feel much more confident that the braces will make it tougher, but not going to test how strong it is. Going to leave this drone more for the high speed cinematic scenes.😅
