This is an amazing philosophy on life...some of the happiest people in the world have no purpose, they are just joyful, helpful and in the moment. I realized this thru the eyes of my young son! Stop taking life so serious and just be! Love to all!

@@hilary.teanti I would definitely teach my son the difference between "your" and "you're." Guess you can't, considering you don't know the difference yourself.

It is quite embarrassing that YOU have tried to correct my grammar / spelling when it is actually and contextually correct.
A word of advice - don't try to be clever when you're not up to it. Like I said - lay off the ganja and join an evening class that teaches you how to write correctly..
Oh dear . . . that ganja, the false assumptions, the flawed beliefs, the weird outlook . . . you've got it all going on.
Oh - and let's not forget the inability to read things that are written correctly.
Perhaps you should get a purpose . . . and start reading things using your son's eyes.
Have a wonderful day, you 'lovely man'.

For years and years I struggled with the concept of “love yourself” until I listened to a talk by sadhguru who made it crystal clear we should love the LIFE inside of us. It clicked and I’ve found the peace he promises. It’s not constant, I still find myself trapped by thoughts and feelings but I can get out quickly.
I’ve also discovered that you cannot speak to others about this - but you can show it in your own transformation. Some people will fall away, others will appear, some will get closer - don’t worry about them for a moment. Just love the life inside of you.

    • @kenwittlief255
      @kenwittlief255 ปีที่แล้ว +11

it has been mis-said "love others as you love yourself"
if you dont love yourself, then what do you have to offer to anyone else
and when you realize there is only one life form on Earth: DNA life, you see that everyone and everything 'else' is you
we are all part of the life that encompasses the Earth, and the Universe. Not separate individual fits and bursts - one long continuation of Life

What’s amazing is when you worship life, it worships you back. I’ve not mastered it - I still get stuck in worrying and wishing but I can snap out of it the moment I choose to. I now know we all have this inside of us - user it in everyone even if they don’t.

Yes and without purpose life has no meaning. So why live at all?? This is the height of egotistical thinking hidden as real ‘truth’. And its ignorant to proclaim as a man that the purpose of life is just living. If we all at the same time were to dismantle our psyche’s and then came time the conclusion that we have no purpose, but just to live. Life will loose a whole lot of meaning and without that people generally don’t thrive. Thats what drug addict do… they just live day to day, moment to moment. They only turn their life around when they feel they matter and can make a contribution to the world. So in my opinion i think meaning is paramount. And to find purpose of life in general or for onself can be of great benefit. And making it purposeless can be just as dangerous. Why exist or endure anything in this world for no purpose but living itself? So your life has no purpose nor your death. Why live at all then? Life is meaningfull or it isnt. You can’t say life has purpose but the individual doesn’t? We are part of all creation. We all are life and thus all have purpose. Now to proclaim one know what that purpose is might border on ignorance, but to say there is none is arrogance!

It seems beyond vague to say all purpose is insane when it often lead people to overcome mountains because they had a will to purpose and a strong specific vision.

Stop having a purpose you need to "fulfill" and just help others live and be happy, stop pushing your agenda and start embracing the art of being nobody...life is much easier and pure that way...when kids are playing...they aren't trying to be someone, they are just being and in the moment. Stop being defined by your job position...Does your job define your life...or do you? Do you see the problem with this false hope of identitying yourself?

Purpose is source of pain and stress. Life without purpose is spontaneus life, without calculations..... calculations are always connected to purpose. Most of the people do things just for their own profit and benefit. And when they fulfill one purpose, than they search for another one. Never satisfied, never enough..... I just enjoy life with everything it brings.... pain, love, disappointment, all those ups and downs....but without plans.

I think what he is saying definitely has value in that you shouldn’t focus so much on a “purpose or meaning“. But I think people should have some general goals or at least something that they like to do and look forward to. If you don’t have these things, then life becomes very depressing. The problem is you can try and live like a child where all you do is focus onthe present, but as adults you are always thinking about the future. You have to have a balance between the two. Maybe that’s what he’s saying.

Once it is understood that everything is interconnected, it logically follows that when one suffers, to some degree, we all suffer. Therefore, everyone has the same purpose. To self improve. This process never ends. So the question of what does one do in life after they fulfill their purpose assumes there is something different to do in the future. Self improvement never ends. As one self improves one gains tremendous benefit from practicing the knowledge one gains as self improvement occurs. The human conscience motivates concern for the self and others and consequently will motivate the desire to assist others in gaining that knowledge that helped you along the path of self improvement. All spiritual figures throughout history did the same thing. They sought knowledge, practiced what they learned and then used that knowledge to assist others along their own path of self improvement.

Hi there birdie. I agree, and self-improvement means moral improvement because that affects others as much as ourselves. The easiest way to improve everyone at the same time is to be honest, because honesty gives others THE TRUTH, which improves them. In other words "know (speak) the truth and the truth shall make you free". Cheers, P.R.

Hi @@birdsinacage6627. Spot on. Thanks for your refreshing words, and also watering my camels. Deserts bloom after a shower of rain. Your comment "objectively derived" is true, honesty is the only secular ethic needed to practice science, and the only ethic that doesn't need a "God" to justify it. Even atheists know that honesty is necessary to communicate meaningfully. Maybe that's why the church, despite their best intentions, neglected honesty as a moral axiom. For them, anything that didn't "give God the glory" first, wasn't "worth the candle". (Monks worked the fields by day, and studied by night, hence the saying.) Cheers, P.R.

@@philliprobinson7724 thank you my truth seeking friend. Your comments regarding deceit are spot on. Peruse "radical honesty" by brad Blanton. As far as why society is mired in deceit read the first chapter of "the curse of cannan" by Eustace Mullins. Also understand that the judeo-christian conception of God has been misinterpreted beyond belief. Review the works of Mauro biglino and Paul Wallis. An understanding of basic quantum physics and cosmology would lead the objective researcher to conclude there is a guiding organizing designing quality to physical reality. This conception has been supported by the likes of Tesla, Spinoza, Einstein , Darwin and most recently John Wheelers strong anthropic principle. Again we have been and continue to be ubiquitously deceived. Our unique internal power has been intentionally occulted from us and these dime store gurus are nothing more than shill apologists who unwittingly, or not, promote a don't worry, be happy narrative, eerily reminiscent of the elite globalist refrain: "you'll own nothing and be happy", paving the cognitive dissonant road toward a totalitarian dystopia. Glimpse the world view of the great dalia lama for a quick example and pass this shit on. These are just snippets as regards everyone's purpose and take delight in the fact that purpose, far beyond "just being" takes monumental effort which includes all this esoteric data and infinitely more.

because we have no purpose - watch the video and listen to the words - when you declare a purpose for yourself, or anyone else, you put yourself in a self-made trap

I've been researching this topic long time and many brilliant minds in personal growing that I admire (also as I admire Guru) agree that purpose cannot be found, because if you seek sth, means you lack it, therefore you search from lacking and that only brings misery.
Purpose is something you stumble on, and it's sth always social related. The purpose makes your life and other people's life better, and that feeling is something that makes you wake ap happy and with the right attitude every morning, so I don't think they're mad, as he says. Balance is everything in life, but disagree now with him.... it's always important to ask ourselves everything, not only what we listen, but also be aware and listen our heart, then we'll reach out essence and awake :)

Mind blowing as a soldier, now veteran, I thank you for that statement, you fight because you have too. So many people don’t understand why we serve. Because I watched the suffering of others in places not as fortunate on tv, and I knew I could do something. Not for personal gain, lord knows the pay isn’t the greatest, but by doing my part so some may not have too suffer. It was just something I had to do for as long as I remember not a purpose but a need to feel like me. If that makes sense. Like Afghanistan, I’m not disheartened by the return of the Taliban, not happy, but am at peace with the realization that for 10 years they had the ability too live as they choose. The former Yugoslavia is much harder too come too Terms with, but such is war. Now I is because I am. That’s my philosophy.

I friggin loved this. I stopped looking for my purpose, because even the most genius or smartest person in this world won't be able to answer mine or their purpose. We just need to all live life and enjoy the moment. Enjoy our freedom. Enjoy exploring the possibilities. We need to let go of everything. Of course we still have our loved ones that give us a purpose, but what if they die and you are left alone.. so what now? We have to just embrace life and love each moment of peace and tranquility, and to learn to evade danger to survive another day. Accept the things we cannot change in the world, to have courage to change what I can for the better, and the wisdom to know right from wrong.
