Hi Rob, Just wanted to thank you for your video. I am new to 360 video and this is my first camera. I have been ripping my hair out trying to figure out how to save my raw footage to an external hard dive. The files are so huge and I didn't want them taking up space on my phone or iPad. I would save them to a hard drive but then I couldn't open them because they were INSv or INSp files. I have tried about 6 different programs and even emailed Insta 360 support. Your video finally was the one that made sense to me. I did a test video and following your explanation I was able to save the files to my hard drive as an mp4 file and then I was able to reopen and view them. Thank you, thank you for your video! ~Ann
I have some questions about this software. We bought one of these cameras at work, and it’s my job to figure out how it all works. The camera is easy to operate. But I’m having some trouble with export resolutions in Insta360 Studio. Working on iMac, not in the cellphone app, if that makes a difference. My test footage looks great in Insta360 Studio. But when I export it, it goes totally blocky pixelated and totally zoomed in. The only settings in Insta360 Studio that I’ve found that can be changed as far as exporting goes is only in View mode, where I can set the Bitrate(Mbps) to Original or Superb or whatever. In my tests, no matter what that setting is, the exported video always ends up blocky and pixelated and zoomed in. All I want is to do is export what I see in View Default mode, in the resolution that I see in Insta360 Studio, and with the video view/angle manipulatable by the viewer the same way it is in Insta360 Studio. Is this not possible?
Robert this video is perfect for beginners thank you so much . Do you have any tutorials on interval shooting as even though I've done quite a few I cant seem to find the photos , any help appreciated .
Do you think that this camera beats the Xiaomi misphere in the photography part? I want to buy a caamra to do virtual tours, only photography, what do you recommend?
Hello Mr Robert how your doing. i wanted to ask you on how to save a video in Tiny Planet mode using insta360 studio for one x beta. i been trying to save it but when i open the Finnish video it comes the same as first one.
Thought I'd comment on a really frustrating thing about Studio for Windows. It cannot combine HDR images, unlike the app. Worse, when you batch export a set of images you cannot apply the gyroscope stabilization. The gyroscope data is only associated with one of the images in the set and Studio isn't able to figure out that it should apply it to the others, so the result is one image with the horizon corrected and two without (if you leave it on), which makes them unstitchable into HDR. If you turn off the gyroscope stabilization they export correctly, but your horizon will not be right, and you'll have to correct this in post production (which is a pain with a 360 image). I confirmed this with their tech people. Apparently, they're looking at fixing it, but it's a pretty obvious flaw so I don't know how it got into the released software.
Robert, I cannot begin to thank you enough for this video. I owe you one!
went back to history to give a thumbs up
You certainly have become one of my "go to" sources on how to better use my One X. You keep teaching me new things.😀

Great! I am glad that this video has helped!
Thank you very much for the beginner like me.
It was very helpful mate!
How do I export in other formats? I use it extensively for HDRI based rendering and there is not much use for Jpeg for HDRI as it clips the values
In the version I have, there is no import, footages or time line panel. Is there an updated version I should download?
