    My father once told me that there was a time that he knew he was going to die for our country and he was willing to do so. He served in 3 U.S. conflicts World WarII, the Korean conflict and supporting others in Vietnam War. He was so proud when president Harry S. Truman gave the order for the desegregation of the armed forces because the Black men and women had served bravely and deserved it. President Eisenhower actually carried out the Truman order, it took a while to filter through but, it was worth the wait. Because eventually the ideal became a inspiration for the civilians, and thus the civil rights movement came to be. The Air Force was the first branch to cooperate and my father was one of the first to desegregate the Air Force.

      False. And some Trump supporters will even admit it’s false. There are thousands of groups throughout American history that have overcome big obstacles. Why pick out this group to teach about. And not just briefly mention, but so much just thought about this group when so many others have overcome just as much. Why is that? It’s because it is DEI. 100% is. But some people don’t have the maturity and “capacity“ to analyze the situation and understand it. They just respond like youngsters who still go to recess three times a day, all they know is “DEI bad, so anything that’s good cannot be DEI“.

  • @EnduranceTrainer
    @EnduranceTrainer 9 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +8

    I joined the USAF in 1993 and got stationed at Maxwell AFB in 1993 after tech school in MS.
    This training was not available then.
    I was 45min up the road from Tuskegee. My father drove from San Antonio, Texas, because he loves to drive, and took me to to Tuskegee to see the history, but even then there was nothing about the Tuskegee airmen, not like they have now. He had to tell me the history of that college campus, even down to the syphilis experiments that were going on then. There were no plaques, nothing to tell about the history. Those who knew about it either experienced it, or read about it in books that were still not mainstream in the 1990s. My uncle who was a pilot in the US Air Force also came down and he talk to me and others about the history. Due to their fight and some other others Now Tuskegee has a museum to honor the Tuskegee airmen.
    So yes, I can understand why someone will call this DI, is because this education wasn’t given out to anyone unless you dog and search for it. Some may have known about the history because their families told them about it, but the reason why I am kind of dumb to it is because I was raised by two US Air Force parents Who raised me in Europe and wanted me to experience life without thinking about the trauma that my ancestors went through. They wanted me to have a more color blind life, and then once I saw the world without prejudices, then they wanted to make sure that I was educated.
    People may frown upon how my parents did things, heck sometimes I get upset. But being born and raised in multiple places around the world, has given me a different appreciation. And I believe the whole DEI backlash is gonna hurt America the most.

    The Tuskegee Airmen were volunteers who served in World War II as the first Black military pilots in the United States.

    The Tuskegee Airmen were young men who volunteered to train as pilots, navigators, or bombardiers.
    The Air Corps provided training, aircraft, uniforms, and parachutes.
    Tuskegee University provided the facilities for training.
    The Tuskegee Airmen trained at a segregated air base in Alabama from 1941 to 1946.

    Imagine saying diversity, equity, and inclusion has no place in the US military with a straight face... Look me in my eyes and tell me, being diverse, giving equality and including everyone who wants to join/succeed has no place in the military... When I was in basic training, I had a guy tell me and the other minority people that we were the first minority people he has ever meet in person... So in 19 years of this mans life, we were the first people of color he has every seen... he took it as far as to say, I knew y'all existed because I seen you on TV... So DEI training, at a minimum when entering the service, is a must... They give us all pen vk (peanut butter) shots whether you are sick or not to make sure you dont get others sick, so why not give a simple welcome to a diverse, equal and inclusive training as well JUST IN CASE someone needs it?? AF/Military has always been about CYA

He wouldn’t have time to review the curriculum, order the removal of the videos and restore them all in the same day while spending most of his day meeting and speaking to personnel at the pentagon. The new admin has been in power 1 week now. It’s doubtful any curriculum review was done in less than a week. No, this was planned beforehand.
