It 's a shame they didn't restore the house instead of tearing it down. Older homes have so much character and are well built. I love old homes. Thank You!
What a horrible thing to do with a house that just needed some TLC. The house was so cute. I did see your other trip there. The house was so sad. 😢. Thanks for taking me along. Please take care
Very sad the lovely old house was torn down but sometimes there are just not funds available for restoration. If someone were to get hurt they could sue which would also be costly. The fireplace is still a nice reminder.
That is so sad. It actually makes me want to cry. I have watched all your videos and truly love the history that you have brought to your channel. My daughter is also a history teacher and she loves your site also. Her favorite was the Pontiac Indians with the kids they had killed...she always says that is history sad but it happens. Yes it did have the out house on other video.
Maybe they left the chimney for Chimney Swifts, which are declining in population and are in need of roosting spots. Some nature centers are building chimney-like structures to help out.
It was a pretty house, but I bet they had unsavory characters and animals trying to take up residence in it. Probably for the best an abandoned home in the middle of nowhere is an open invitation for bad to happen.
There’s a lot of history there. I always wanted to do a history of old buildings like that. Babies born there, sons going off to war. Do you know when the house was built?

That was sad. The music was perfect. If stones could talk. ❤❤❤❤❤
That is what our local fire department does they always manage to save the foundation.
Good clean up after the demo. The trees are starting to look better. That chimney could probably cook some good burgers.
I noticed that there was apparently no graffiti , broken windows, or other obvious damage. Nice to see. 👍🏼
I was there in January and there was still a mess there. Wish I could have seen the old house. Thanks for sharing the video of what it looked like.

Sad to see it gone. It could definitely have been fixed up.

It opensthe damper I believe
Most places use trail cameras, and then they only check them if they happen to be a problem
Why is it a shame that they tore down an old ramshackle house?
It's a piece of history
🤔 I'll bet They wouldnt have torn this home down had it been a Field / Rubble Stone house.
