In this tutorial, we’re showing you how to do UTTHITA TRIKONASANA B / EXTENDED TRIANGLE POSE B from Ashtanga's Fundamental Sequence. You’ll hear the Sanskrit count and see how to move through the traditional vinyasa cues for this pose. We share tips on how to find more stability in your stance, what to do with your arms during each part of the vinyasa, and a trick Jelena does to maintain level hips. Wonderful clarifying tips! Thank you!
Thank you for all your videos.
I love your style ! I'd like to see parivrtta parsvakonasana explained, it is the most difficult part of the standing sequence for me. 🙏
Such a great service and gift you offer all of us who are not able to go or have an ashtanga studio/instructor in town. Thank you so much.
Our pleasure!
love you and thanks for the clip😍🙏♥️ share more please😉
Thank you so much for the videos. I have begun my journey with Ashtang Yog following your videos and your guidance. I am a regular hath yoga practitioner but did not progress into ashtang yoga. Will do so now.
Thank you! This was an excellent tutorial on the basics of positioning the feet, hips and hands/arms and the why!
I love your explanations 🙏
Very clear instructions! And thank you for all the additional options for tight hamstrings!
You're so welcome! Glad it was helpful.
Appreciate these videos. In Ashtanga we get so caught up in the advanced poses we forget the basics as they are done almost effortlessly after a while. Even so, it's good to always go back and tune up the fundamentals
Good tips ❤
Thank you very mouch guys 🙏
Thank you so much for your unique service! Sweet couple❤

Just yesterday I was going through your videos searching for a tutorial on this posture!! destiny
Thank you for all your videos, I love them and the energy/vibes that you both give. Please continue ❤
G A N A P A T Y 🎉 hello from Buddha place!
Great! But what about the actions required to avoid any discomfort in the lumbar area. "Lengthening the spine" sounds more and more vague to me...Reaching the tip of the sacrum away from the crown (ok sure.)We don't want to slouch (we need to take the hips back) I guess my question is? Can we still lengthen the spine by keeping a little of roundness overall , instead of looking after a "straight" line when it comes to lengthen it? The lumbar spine can turn also at 5°. Why trying so bad to prevent that from happening (as long as the hip doesn't collapse) ? So I don't know about exterrnally rotating the opposite hip (like you said) in order to pull it backward. I would say instead: "Pulling this side of the pelvis backward while rolling the muscles of the hip in so we could help the entire spine to rotate gently from the lumbar up to cervical (the lengthening intent and quality of the inhale combined to keep the intervertebral discs of the spine decompressed will also be part of the plan!)" I would really appreciate your insight about that. I want my students safe performing those twists. And for this to happen, they also need to know why twisting? Benefits? I love your tutorials, by the way! I am a big fan. Namaste
Thanks for the tutorial! You are amazing guys!!!
How should i move my arms if there is someone very close to me?
First of all, thank you so much ! I’m new to practicing yoga, only a few months, and your videos are so precise and technical and gentle minded, they are exactly what I was looking for ! ❤
But then, when I do this pose, A and B version, I get a very very intense pain in the outside of the ankle of the foot I’m bending towards.
Any idea where it comes from, what I should do ? I’m a runner and very afraid to hurt my feet and Achilles and ankles.
Nevertheless, yoga is changing my life, and you’re being part of it. Thanks 🤩
Hope you had awesome holidays. Love
Your explanations are so grounding. In all the asanas, are we aiming to have a straight spine line? ( not rounded?) 🙏💗
Thanks so much. It was very helpful. Don’t know why, this position is not too easy for me🙂
You’re welcome 😊And it’s a pretty challenging pose for many people, so don’t get discouraged
I would like to ask your advice. I have my first ever yoga retreat coming up at the end of this September it’s in ashtanga/rocket yoga retreat, and I have never done either. I’ve been doing some of your videos trying to at least know something about it. I practice hot yoga, which videos do you recommend me? Thank you so much.
Try the Led Half Primary, and if that feels easy try the full Primary. And have fun at the retreat!
@@DavidandJelenaYoga thank you so much!
😊
🙏🙏🙏
I always dreaded this pose....... Cause my lats are a little closed
