I love how you both are so respectful of all yoga backgrounds. The Sivananda and Kripalu teacher in me greatly appreciates this. Thank you for allowing a respectful space for all us.

I love your style ! I'd like to see parivrtta parsvakonasana explained, it is the most difficult part of the standing sequence for me. 🙏

Great! But what about the actions required to avoid any discomfort in the lumbar area. "Lengthening the spine" sounds more and more vague to me...Reaching the tip of the sacrum away from the crown (ok sure.)We don't want to slouch (we need to take the hips back) I guess my question is? Can we still lengthen the spine by keeping a little of roundness overall , instead of looking after a "straight" line when it comes to lengthen it? The lumbar spine can turn also at 5°. Why trying so bad to prevent that from happening (as long as the hip doesn't collapse) ? So I don't know about exterrnally rotating the opposite hip (like you said) in order to pull it backward. I would say instead: "Pulling this side of the pelvis backward while rolling the muscles of the hip in so we could help the entire spine to rotate gently from the lumbar up to cervical (the lengthening intent and quality of the inhale combined to keep the intervertebral discs of the spine decompressed will also be part of the plan!)" I would really appreciate your insight about that. I want my students safe performing those twists. And for this to happen, they also need to know why twisting? Benefits? I love your tutorials, by the way! I am a big fan. Namaste

Thank you so much for the videos. I have begun my journey with Ashtang Yog following your videos and your guidance. I am a regular hath yoga practitioner but did not progress into ashtang yoga. Will do so now.

Appreciate these videos. In Ashtanga we get so caught up in the advanced poses we forget the basics as they are done almost effortlessly after a while. Even so, it's good to always go back and tune up the fundamentals

Your explanations are so grounding. In all the asanas, are we aiming to have a straight spine line? ( not rounded?) 🙏💗

First of all, thank you so much ! I’m new to practicing yoga, only a few months, and your videos are so precise and technical and gentle minded, they are exactly what I was looking for ! ❤
But then, when I do this pose, A and B version, I get a very very intense pain in the outside of the ankle of the foot I’m bending towards.
Any idea where it comes from, what I should do ? I’m a runner and very afraid to hurt my feet and Achilles and ankles.
Nevertheless, yoga is changing my life, and you’re being part of it. Thanks 🤩
Hope you had awesome holidays. Love

I would like to ask your advice. I have my first ever yoga retreat coming up at the end of this September it’s in ashtanga/rocket yoga retreat, and I have never done either. I’ve been doing some of your videos trying to at least know something about it. I practice hot yoga, which videos do you recommend me? Thank you so much.

Try the Led Half Primary, and if that feels easy try the full Primary. And have fun at the retreat!
