It's still safe, car will pull power so it doesn't hurt it. I have the gr 300 and the gr yairs. Once my gr yaris intake temps get over around 54 degrees it will change timing and I can feel the power loss. Newer cars won't over heat like old cars, the computer should pick it up and just put car into limp mode so you can't drive it
