Hi team, I know this is a late question but how does the GCM upgrade handle when the van is not hooked up. I have a 3500 off road van but will not always have it on or a large payload in my Wildtrak. I could keep some weight in the tub if required. There is only two of us in the veh.

How is a GCM upgrade legal with the vehicle can hook up different trailer's, boats, caravans with different size brakes! ??

Can you tell me what that trailer brake control,,??

Hi mate Had my Ranger sport for 12 months and have struggled with the integrated brake controller. My 19 Ranger with the Redarc unit had no issues stopping when my 3T boat was attached on a gain of 4, I run the integrated unit on 10 just to remove the surface rust off the disc’s. The boat trailer has electric hydraulic with 4 disc’s. Originally the 12 pin plug that’s standard on the new Ranger wouldn’t power the brake unit, ford informed me I had to move a few of the pins around, this got power to the unit but it’s always delayed applying force or power, relying heavily on the cars brakes to do 95% of the work. Thinking of just wiring in a new Redarc unit as ford have been of no help even after demonstrating it’s not the trailer system that’s the issue.

Soooo.. no GVM upgrades?

Handy video, thanks. I was hoping they left one of the auxiliary wires inside the cabin for the uhf, but will just have it to run it back in with the aerial cable.

Gross combination mass . Is misleading . G.v.m is measuring the gravitational force on a mass . Mass is not a weight .

Great Video, Love what you have done and owning a ZX myself, contemplating doing very similar to yours. However, I have a question in relation to the legalities of the wheel/Tyre combination. From all of my investigation, there doesn't seem to be a flared Guard set available for the Sahara ZX. However, you have one fitted to your vehicle. Would you mind sharing your information, as that is the only speed bump to my upgrading the GVM of the vehicle to accommodate the aftermarket wheel/Tyre combo I have presently on my vehicle.

Great video demonstration.... ❤.... I don't know you also deals with Longranger (LR) tank. My question is apart from price difference among Brown Davis (BD) there is weight difference as well. As looks loke BD is steel and LR is almuminized steel. BD gives 87L whereas LR gives 76L. My question is: Is there any clearance difference among both tanks? From pictures of LR looks like it is hanging down more. What do you think? I am surr BD tanks also fully Baffled? I appreciate your feedback...... Thanks

Hi, where does your spare tyre go on a rear mount? Factory spare location isn't ideal when travelling when travelling in the N.T. recently I came upon a 300 with flat tyre he had to unload his fridge and gear from the rear to get to the spare tyre..

I'm from Adelaide, and have been following your videos in reference to the 300. I have a Sahara 300 and just a couple of questions. Firstly, I know Toyota can be "touchy" as far as any non standard mods, so I guess my question is ... would these tuning mods effect warranty? One other question, I cannot get comfortable behind the wheel of my 300, the leather heated and cooled seats seem a little "thin" I guess to allow heating and cooling. On a long trip,how do you find the comfort of your seats in the ZX? Perhaps it's just me ...

The reverse camera instillation is very interesting I have just gone through the process of having a Safety Dave system fitted and trying to find a suitable place to mount a monitor. I ended up with a clip on rear view monitor best option great product. I wish I had known about the ability to inter grate with the Toyota monitor…

I’ve got hilux surf and just bought airbag man bags. They came with 2” spacer and the valve protection spacer. I have no bump stops to cut or remove. Am I correct in assuming the 2” spacer is for the bottom with the flush side facing up and the thin valve spacer to stay at top end ? Thanks

Are the wires there from factory if the switches are not installed?

So this is a GVM upgrade based upon axle-sum increase? If so, you lose all flexibility in loading front and rear. There is no actual increase in the axle load rating? In addition, rating any vehicle above its current GCM (already too high for most vehicles in practical terms) is, in my mind, irresponsible. All this does is encourage even more gullible drivers to go close to or over the limit (as shown by recent studies in Queensland, where over 80% !! of weighed vehicles towing were overweight) and place themselves at higher risk. Anyone towing close to their GCM maximum or with a vehicle at its GVM maximum is asking for trouble. If you insist upon going down the path of GVM upgrades (and there are some valid reasons to do so) look at the costs. Try costing the individual components... a set of Lovells Gas Legends is often much cheaper elsewhere than purchasing directly from Lovells. Go figure?!

From what you have just said that you can only change the GCM in SA, either post or pre registration, why are you advertising on your website and in this video that this GCM upgrade is available in all states of Australia. Will GCM appear on your registration papers, and if I get pulled over by the Government or State Authorities who weigh you, what proof do I have to say that my weights are Legal, if you are stating that GCM is not able to be changed, why are you advertising a GCM upgrade, isn't this false and misleading to all the States in Australia except SA. Could you please clarify. One other question, how do you get a BTC OF 4000 KG with your Haul Ace Coupling, when the DO45 Coupling is a better product and can only stay at 3500 kg in the case of a 200 series towing your caravan with the DO45 Coupling on the caravan.

Just remember to slide fuel line hose over the intire length of the plastic lines will save a ton of headache, good luck with your install.
