You paid an ADM because you wanted the car right now instead of waiting. Most can obtain MSRP if they go through the build process. Yes, allocations take forever now but a customer will need to weigh what’s more important. Your deal is an exception and will probably not apply for most people. Not everyone knows the manager or a friend of a friend at said dealer.
Not sure if I understand how a dealership gets ‘burned’ by selling at msrp then new owner turns around and flips it for a profit. I would think when they sell it at msrp they are getting their hold back and lots more. Once sold the financial connection is gone. Basically a new owner who flips car doesn’t actually take away from the dealership any money. I think if anything the dealership getting ‘burned’ is that they are burning with greed and envy that a buyer actually made out possibly better than themselves.....but whatever....is it awd your new m3? Not sure what to think of that grill though. I realize for what you paid you will make yourself like that grill!
mate you made a great deal, this car is worth every penny ! We get "discount's" in Switzerland, but keep in mind that the base price is already double than in the US.. So just to compare: i paid about 115k Dollars for my 6-Speed M3 ;)
the reality is that every sales rep will say the same thing john (and they have, when I’ve inquired). ultimately I went with a dealer where they had an allocation arriving, waited 5 weeks and paid a fair markup on a fairly loaded g80 comp
It is a Microchip shortage. Just check the value of used cars are more than brand new. Also you wonder why there's a shortage of PS5 lol. Dealership markups have been getting outta control bc dummies are try to flip cars especially the exotic ones lol hint C8 corvettes, Mustangs, and Hellcats
Bro, you made a good deal for this market. Take into consideration that finance and lease rates are climbing like crazy and we will probably see a bump in MSRP soon as well. You came away good! If you don’t have an allocation + locked rate right now, good luck getting this car for the bargain you did. Good on you!
Paying markup on a depreciating asset is crazy. If you look hard enough, there are always dealers willing to sell at MSRP. If people stopped settling and letting these dealers take them to the cleaners, more would stop doing it.
Waiting for my 2023 m3 comp. Im located in LA and here mark ups go at least 10k for m3 and m4. The dealership at Glendale is 20k. I got mine for 4k mark up and its coming out in 3 months. Im not too sure if I got a good deal but def not bad in California.
That is crazy! Everyone is paying a little bit of mark-up right now on these. Anything over 5k is a bit ridiculous. I think you honestly got a pretty good deal!
Man you should just shop around outside CA, some M4 are just at MSRP in other states. I was able to buy exactly the same car I configured at MSRP in New Mexico. And they also offered me a very good trade-in deal. I'm 100% satisfied. No mark-up bullshit.
Love this channel - Keep up the good content! Got my M4 here in Wisconsin 1 week ago for about $5500 under MSRP. Manheim now has M4's going for $118K average as of today - Hard not to take advantage of that but when I make my next move I'm going back to trade in the M4 since my Dealer's been so legit with me!
@@ZaysGarage frozen black metallic m4 asking 175k at my dealer in NJ (55k markup) and people are actually paying these prices… I️ just bought a 2022 540i xDrive for MSRP thankfully because I️ have done prior business with them, would’ve been a 6k markup otherwise

Yeah, that makes sense. My G80 is RWD and manual :)
Been waiting for mine since October. It finally shipped this week.

Sales Advisor here for BMW. I’d be happy to work with anyone in the US ordering a M3 without a crazy markup. ETA times on orders is about 8 months
Interested!
Hey john, im one of your customers on the waitlist to get allocation. The wait is real but thats ok, have a great day

Great job breaking things down in this video. Good work on getting such a beautiful M3!
Thanks my man! Appreciate it!
Not a bad price, I’m currently waiting for my M3. I’m station in Germany and was able to add a bunch of extras. Total cost was 80k.
Good to add the extras, I wish mine had more!
Just came across your site and enjoy it. Watching--and liking, your older videos. Keep them coming.
It is absolutely crazy that a used car is worth more than new!!
It's every manufacturer except tesla. It has something to do with the microchip shortage

Glad you enjoyed it!

Props on getting a manual one as well!
The dealership didn’t “get burned” by people taking advantage of the used market
Congrats !!!!
Thank you!
You can’t even find one for less then 89k lol
Amazing deal! Good job brother 🔥
My guess is the low markup is probably because not a lot of buyers looking for base models with manual transmissions these days... Good find!
Completely agree with you!

Thank you for the support! Sounds like an amazing deal especially in this climate! 118K is sick! I assume that it is for the xDrive models?
