Taking delivery of my 2023 G80 in the next few weeks and I went with the manual for the exact same reasons. Using it as my daily I’d much rather have the engagement of a manual.

With so many people just caring about pure speed and want that launch control, it's nice to see a manual. I'm same as you, it's not just about pure speed, but the engagement. I got a 2018 M4, special ordered it as well, simply because I NEEDED that manual in Yas Marina Blue.

I agree, manual is great. My only gripe has been once you drive a manual from other manufactures, you will realize that BMW manual transmissions are just not as good. Even if you drive a base porsche cayman with a manual, you'll see how good that feels compared to any BMW 6spd.
@@futcoinsniper3195 Granted I've never driven a Porsche but the F82 feels butter smooth, especially compared to most other manuals I've driven.

Your silver badge doesn’t denote manual. I have a 2023 m series with the silver m badge and it’s automatic. Changing it to black.
I'm actually curious to see this. You're the first person ever mentioned that. Either they might have messed up at the factory but from what it seems like manuals only have the silver badging
Absolutely love the way you spec’ed your G80 M3. In all honestly I’d build one the same way, minus the manual and color option. For everything the new M cars have to offer the price you paid seems well worth it.

Agree, we have the rest of our lives to drive automatic EV AWD straight line cars…the RWD manuals are a dying breed. In 20 years an automatic AWD M3 won’t matter when EV M’s will smoke them. The manual will be way more engaging.
Yup EV & Hubrids are coming. Going to stick with this full petrol manual car as long as I can.

Another fantastic video, you are so easy to listen to , and your level of explanation is beyond 💯🤘🏻❤️……. Since you mentioned the full leather I wanted to add it to my order since for 23 Isle of Man green on Kylami orange color does not come on the door panels 😠, and I wanted it ,now in order to have the orange door panels you have to get the 2300$ full leather option that includes the half orange dash as well. I will have to accept it ,and I know about full leather does not hold very well especially like Arizona climate.

Unrelated but............I noticed in a lot of your videos, you say you're "OCD". Actually what you have is "OCPD". Look it up, there is a difference and better explanation/common misconception between the two terms.

Great build. Have been watching your vids now for a bit and you do a great job. I too selected the Fiona red interior for my ‘23 G80, but I don’t have the red piping around my floor mats. That would have been cool if I did.
Great choice on getting the Fiona red. Appreciate the support! It probably has to do with the supply chain issues. Some people are still getting the floor mats with the red piping and some people are not. Hopefully in the future it gets situated
Getting rid of the chrome is my FIRST move lol. My goal is to have not one bit of chrome at least externally. I’m coming around on the bi color wheels after seeing them in person but I can’t help but see them as chrome when they shimmer. If they were a bit darker, I’d do it. Stealthy and aggressive is what I’m going after. That being said, Imola red is such a good looking color.
I also bypassed almost a perfect build because they didn’t have the laser lights. It just looks inferior. Angel eyes are such a bmw moniker to me that I just couldn’t pull the trigger. Now I am just waiting patiently for my allocation 😩
Definitely wait patiently if you can. I totally agree having a GX without the laser lights looks very inferior. I just wouldn't be able to pay all that money and not have their extra $1,000 option. Thanks for checking out the video!

@@jjgonzales5270 what’s adm? I don’t have it yet so I don’t know down to the penny but i got the black wheels, Fiona interior, exec pack, parking pack, wireless charger, vented seats. Think that’s everything. Mine will be close to Ken’s. After tax etc it’s prob about 90k. 😫. You can find slightly used 22 for just under 80 before tax. Credit plays a big part in your interest rate. I refused to pay over sticker even though they tried. Look at car gurus. I’ve been stalking it for the last year lol. Just looked up adm btw. I’ve mostly seen them try to get it on 23s. In most cases they have them because a customer ordered and backed out. They def try to make the most. One car online has not all the options as mine and they were asking 99. Wild. If you go in serious, and tell them you have a buyer right now at Msrp, they may say no but these cars are sitting. End of month or quarter, they will be begging you.
@@kentao4 ADM is basically an added fee from the dealership. So your total came out to around 90k with tax and fees included? I’m just wondering if there’s a markup when ordering a new g80, or if dealerships only mark up a car when buying used.
@@jjgonzales5270 I didn’t pay a mark up though 2 dealers tried. One had a 23 on the lot and tried to get 7 k but called me back in 2 days at msrp. Then the next week I got an allocation from my dealer and they tried to get 5k and I refused but said I’m ready to make my order but no markup. So what I gave you is pretty much everything with fees and tax

My situation is very different. I do a lot of stop and go driving. I also idle a lot when I'm capturing content. So that takes away from my MPG

Beautiful spec. Love it and I really appreciate that you got a manual. I spec’d mine as a comp xDrive with sport seats and moonroof; much more of a luxury vs sports spec. I have a 997.2 911 that is my manual transmission, lowered, loud, modded toy. I need my M3 to be a little bit more of a daily driver! I’m really excited to take delivery and appreciate all the thought that went into creating your dream build. Beautiful car!

Hey Ken, great video. I've outlined a few things, just for video clarity and understanding. Hopefully it helps people reading the comments and watching the video when deciding on options when they order their cars.
1. The Carbon Fiber roof is standard on all G8X. The no cost option is the sunroof, but the CF roof isn’t an option. Carbon or Sunroof are the only two roofs (rooves?) available.
2. When you’re in front camera mode, there is a setting to the top right to save the position the camera activates at, automatically. If you pull up to a spot where you're finding yourself activating the camera, everytime. Just hit the remember location to the top right of the screen.
3. Power tailgate is so you don’t touch the paint. Well worth the whole exec package. OCD paint swirls. I also have full STek Dynoshield
4. You quoted the “M Driver Package” $2,500, but when you posted the price on the screen you corrected it with the M Drive Professional. The M Drivers Package is the top speed governor removal to 184.
5. The 50 Jahre roundels are available for nearly all BMWs made after 1995. I have a 2021 built, 2022 G82, and I added them later. They are for sale at any BMW dealer. The M4 has a backup camera built into the rear roundel, so the M3 and M4 trunk roundel part numbers are different.
6. The parking assistance package has a few more really cool features. I don’t know how they work on the manual, but, 2 things. 1. while driving slow past a parking space with painted lines, the car will recognize the parking space, and beep for you to click park, and it will self park. 2. The car will also back, by itself, if you’ve pulled into something that you don’t think you can back out of. The car remembers the steering angle you used to pull in, and just hit a button and the car will reverse itself out of difficult situations.
7. Individual paint, requires this. "Please note that with U490 BMW Individual paint the function “Lane change assistant”, which is a part of option 5AU “Driving assistant professional” has to be deactivated. This happens by adding option 8TR "decoding additional function". This is done because BMW has not road tested every individual paint color. As the paint thickness is different than the factory applied standard BMW paints.
8. Also note that the $3,750 price you paid was a promotion BMW was running for 50 Jahre paint with $750 off. Normal price, or pricing when the special badges goes, away, will likely go back to $4,500. Yeah I've seen that done a few times from other people. And I knew when I got this car I wanted to basically preserve it so laminate was definitely easy idea. Thanks again for chiming in!

I have a tiny little question, would you say the michelins are ever so slightly more comfy than the pirellis? I have pirellis on mine and the roads where i live are sometimes quite shocking so i was just wondering
It's tough to say, I think the side walls are more stiffer on the michelins so it might be stiffer with them. The probably so far aren't too bad but I'm definitely looking forward on having the michelin's back on. I had the michelins on my f80 M3 and it did really well in the wet.
