i simply don’t understand why you don’t have more subscribers, i binge watched all of your videos and had a fab time. you’re so funny and i love your sister too! i’m applying for bio natsci in cambridge 2022 and currently deciding between clare, emma and queens. i’m irish so haven’t had a chance to visit them in person, i know you’re biased but if you had any insider info that would help in deciding between the three that would be great! 😊
Aww thank you so so much, Jessica!! That's so sweet! I am biased towards Queens', of course, but you've chosen a great trio to choose between. Honestly, if I couldn't go to Queens', Emma and Clare would be up there amongst the colleges I'd want to go to myself... Queens' is probably the biggest of the three (I'm not 100% sure about this, but it's the ~vibe~ I get). It's right on the river, it has a great, bustling community, and it's kind of known for being a party college, which doesn't necessarily ring true (it certainly doesn't for me) but it is true that people at Queens' tend to be friendly and a little more laid back than at some other old colleges, in my experience. Obviously, it's beautiful and I love it Emma would be really convenient for bio natsci because it's right by the sciencey campuses. It's not as near the town centre, and not on the river, but you're still very much in the middle of everything, right on a main road and about 5 mins walk away from the main hustle and bustle of the market square. Emma is also so so beautiful. It's Georgian architecture, big square courts, a beautiful chapel... I've never heard anyone say that they don't like Emma. Your laundry is done for you, they have a tunnel, and you're in between the two major green spaces in Cambridge: Christ's Pieces and Parker's Piece. It's a great college As for Clare, it's right on the river, tucked away behind King's so not swamped by tourists. It's the furthest away from all the natsci stuff, so less ideal in terms of lectures and labs etc., but it is the closest to the town centre. Their bar is underground in the cellars of Clare, and it looks like a decommissioned London tube station, except a bit more like a warren, and filled with students and pool tables etc. - it's actually really cool, much cooler than Queens' naff bar (I'm unfamiliar with Emma's bar I'm afraid). Clare's architecture is pretty standard for a Cambridge old college in my opinion - beautiful but not necessarily memorable - but it is a solid choice I hope this helps!! xx
Ahh, what a lovely tribute. Sad for you that you’re saying goodbye but I’m sure you’ll always have Cambridge in your heart and be part of it forever. I’m visiting with my daughter next week for a Selwyn campus tour and really looking forward to having a good look around.
Thank you!! I definitely will, and intend to visit a lot, especially since Anna is still here. I hope you and your daughter enjoy your Selwyn visit! The college is lovely
ahh oh my goodness it's so beautiful? looks like you've stepped right into a film about tudor England (rip if that's historically incorrect teehee) it's so pretty 🥰
I know it's soo pretty!! So sad to be leaving :(( also Tudor England is not that far off honestly, some of those buildings were built just before the Tudors, so actually pretty accurate haha
Thanks for that restful walking video. Very enjoyable. I never went to Girton but visited Queens' quite a few times (not to mention lectures on Mill Lane, and a few visits to The Anchor) but in my day, the Law Library (& some lectures) was next to The Old Schools and the Senate House. Pity really as the new Law Faculty on the Sidgwick site would have given my am extra 15 minutes in bed, walking from Selwyn!
So glad you enjoyed the video, Raymond! I didn't realise that the Law library used to be all the way over by Senate House. The new Law building is so fresh and new and close-by, I expect the current Selwyn lawyers are grateful for the change!
I left Churchill... damn... coming up to 7 years ago now... went back very recently to have another walk around Cambridge and it definitely felt different... and sentimental, just as this video espouses. To an extent, it was really nice just to appreciate the place for how beautiful it is, without the underlying backdrop of the work and pressure the place put on me. Made me appreciate it all the more, even though I can't quite call Churchill the picturesque surroundings you benefitted from in Queens - still, did it really deserve the "NO" category? Come on now XD
Hi Rafi! More videos about Cambridge are definitely on the way, so stay tuned! A video on the history course sounds like a fab idea - I might give that one a go :)
@@hattywillmoth Seconding the request for a video on the History course! I am in Year 12 and hoping to apply for Downing or Emma's for History soon, so a video on the course would be great!

I hadn't even noticed that the music wasn't the original version (if that makes sense) until I read your caption, it's amazing :)x
Aww thank you so much!! I'm painfully aware of the fact it's me playing, but thank you very much, I appreciate it :)) x

(I'm sorryyyyyyy)
This was really emotional. Are you still planning to do videos on Cambridge? A video on the History course in particular would be awesome!

as a fellow graduand I fully relate to the sentiment, this is such a cute lil personal vid, hope you have an amazing time wherever you go onto next! x
Awww thank you so so much Hannah!! Good luck with whatever you're doing next too x
Pf, you'll see it again sometime. :) Will see you sooon!
Very true, maybe I was being a bit melodramatic... See you soon!! :)
I wanna study history too
Great! It's the best subject ;)
@@hattywillmoth ya!!
What do you hope to pursue after graduating?
Journalism-ish stuff - that's the plan, anyway
Can you still look around the Cambridge colleges if you're not a student?
During Covid times, no. Before Covid people could pay a small fee to visit colleges at certain times, usually on weekends
