I am a Cambridge girl, first woman from my region to attend Cambridge under full scholarship and first generation. Will b back with my mom, husband tobe and children. 😊
And if Grantchester eludes you, then you might read Rowland Parker's "The Common Stream" and hop off the train South from Cambridge in the village of Foxton. Enjoy the English country gardens, the thatched roofs and the 2000-year history of the village and surrounds told of in that book.
As someone that lives and works in this fair city, Clare hasn’t mentioned a few half-truths in this clip. 1. The Fitzbillies she shows isn’t the original bakery. The original bakery closed down in 1991, due to the owner going bust. It reopened again later that year, and went completely bust in 2011. The bakery she is in, is basically an updated copycat that opened in 2016. 2. The Corpus Clock is a modern feature that was only created in 2008. 3. Although Ryder & Amies is a university outfitter, so is also Ede & Ravenscroft which has a branch in Savile Row, London. 4. The pub she is in at the end, as it quietly says, it was only existed in 2013. Previously it was the Bun Shop which was a modern built pub. Personally, if you are looking for a nice traditional pub, better go to the Pickerel, on Bridge Street which is the city's oldest pub. To be frankly honest, there are some better sites then this.
Lived in Cambridge all my life its doubled in size since the 1970s when it went fom town to city status and still growing the over population has caused massive transport housing and polution issues for the local population and the market has become a fast food hall for tourists 2 miles from thehistoric centre there are many sink estates just like in the rest of the UK
All the British universities are much overrated…. Any European universitiy give you a much better education without the horrendous tuition fees ….education is a human right!
Oxbridge stands out from all the European universities. They truly give the best education, Ona can have a scholarship too to study there. The EU universities are like a "massive production" but Oxbridge is more personalised and individual. They allocate to each student a personal tutor. Thus, they cannot be overrated.
It’s like anywhere else in the uk except the city center where all colleges and churches are , historic gothic buildings like the Ely church, but the rest boring as hell
Lots of love to you England from across the world! Cheers!
They despise you.

Clare went to Trinity College, Cambridge. Say it loud, say it proud, Clare.
Liberal Arts. Nothing to be proud of.
Well she has clearly made a career for herself. Tell us, what have you achieved for yourself? @val-schaeffer1117
Yay, a video with my favorite presenter Clare, and she isn't shadowing an average German, though I do miss that.
You look like you had so much fun!!!! You sure convinced me to go and soon!!!!

Brilliant, next time for sure will do Cambridge.
