That little sponge filter originally shipped inside the carb is only for shipping to keep dust out. You don't use that to drive with. Usually Kyosho has 2 Venturi caps in different colors that is attached to the carb opening. One has a smaller opening for breaking in and then you change out to the larger opening for normal driving. I have the 2.0 version and wondering what's the difference on the 3.0? Same engine, same platform, different wheels, different color scheme.

Also for nitro you should use either hump packs or LiFe packs to get more run time out of your servos.
