I went from Keto OMAD to Low Carb OMAD to Regular OMAD. I am still losing weight and I am enjoying foods that I love.

Hi there! I have lost 60 pounds in six months doing keto OMAD and sometimes a few more carbs. Only had about three days this year with high carbs. I would LOVE to hear more about what you’re doing. I have 40 more pounds to lose and I feel a little stuck right now. Could you tell me more about what you’re doing and if you’re losing or staying the same?

Regular OMAD is much easier to stick to and enjoy because NOTHING is forbidden. I know I feel better with carbs on regular OMAD.

I am 74 and just now saw your posts. I have tried the intermittent fasting but haven’t been consistent. You have inspired me to start again. I so want to get off 15 lbs. During Covid which was bad enough, my 49 year old daughter passed while on hospice at my house from a brain tumor. It’s been very hard. I gained weight because I just didn’t worry about calories.
I’m really wanting to get back to a healthy weight again. So hope I can see more inspirational videos from you, Jackie. Your so cute and I’m rooting for you!

Yvette, I am so sorry for your loss! I am 52 years old, when I was a very young girl, my 20-year-old sister died from a brain tumor.
I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!
I hope you continue to have fasting as a part of your life!

Oh Yvette, I’m so sorry for your loss. How are you going with regular OMAD? I’m 50 and just started 20:4. I do omad but I’m not a fast eater (due to achalasia), so prefer a few hours to enjoy a larger meal or 2 smaller meals. I would love to hear how you’re going. ☺️

I am 61 now and you have inspired me to try this again!!!!! During my 20's, 30's and 40's, I always did one meal per day and was in great shape. After years and years of people telling me I was doing all the wrong things in my diet (they should mind their own business!), I caved in and started eating many small meals per day--because they thought that was the right thing to do. Guess what? I packed on at least 40 lbs. of extra weight. I am glad intermittent fasting is being researched and is much more accepted now. Congratulations on your weight loss!!!!!!

You may or may not already know this so excuse me if you have talked about this previously, again I just found your channel. A pinch of salt in black coffee is awesome. It removes any bitterness that may be there. I drink high-quality organic coffee so typically it’s not bitter…but it can still happen on occasion, but I never notice it as I always salt my coffee. I love this and will continue to always do this. 👍🏼💯

Hi Jackie!! I’m really hoping you see this, I’ve wanted to comment for a while now. I really liked this video but I mainly wanted to say thank you since you are the reason I started fasting in May. I’m down 19 lbs as of this morning and I enjoy the fasting lifestyle so much. It was your video about the power of zero that got me. I started fasting immediately after watching it and haven’t missed a day fasting since. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Jackie I just wanted to say thank you. I started watching your aldi grocery hall channel and then started watching you on this channel. You have helped me and guided me so much. I have been fasting since April. I have lost 20lbs so far. I gained a lot of weight during lockdown and didn’t move around much since I was working from home. I wanted to get this weight off. I am so proud of myself I am now wearing my old clothes.

It’s great to see not only what you eat, but how your eating windows and fasting works. You have helped me to change my life, Jackie! A lot of people in my life have lost weight with intermittent fasting, but everyone would just tell me to research it and wouldn’t give me a good place to start. Then I saw one of your videos where are you told us aboutGin Stephens book and your personal story about gaining weight during shutdown. I bought her book and got started. Thank you so very much. I’m so thankful to find something that is working to release me from the weight that has had me trapped!!!

I eat in a 2 hr eating window, 6 days a week. I tried keto/carnivore for 6 years to only continually fall off the wagon. So, I stopped that. No restrictions for me anymore. However, I aim for a " lowish carb weston a price" style of eating most of the time. I am a certified health coach. What I notice is that health is SO individual. People have to figure it out for themselves!
    Love love your channel

I appreciate you showing that you can stick with this eating pattern even while having a family who eats differently. I have struggled staying with the plan because my husband and kids are having something that smells and looks good, which tempts me to have "just a bite" (then ten). You've proven it is still possible to be successful and push forward.

I had 2 scoops of "Culver's "Flavor of the Day" with my hubby in my eating window. So awesome not to feel guilty about that. Down 15 lbs. as of today. Today I also fit back into a pair of white jeans that have been stored away. 💃That felt amazing.

Thank you for the great video…Years ago when I tried weight watchers when someone said or confused what they ate that week, I then went out and ate that too (donuts, candy, etc.) Now with IF I can be next to my husband who is eating donuts or candy and not even get tempted. I am so amazed at how easy this is once you get started…

Wow, OMAD while maintaining weight is sure different than weight loss OMAD! I’m diabetic so use a LCHF diet with IF to prevent big glucose spikes. I’m down 15 pounds, off insulin, and still have weight to lose. I also eat foods I love during my eating window, just limiting carbs. I have a continuous glucose monitor so I have feedback on my choices and daily accountability. I like putting together a nicely balanced, lovely meal to share with my husband at dinner. I’m not opposed to dessert on occasion, but stick with berries/yogurt or other low carb options for now. I eat until full and close the window. I don’t sweat about a splash of cream in my morning coffee during my fast as its effect is minimal, but do avoid all sweeteners. For me, sustainably is key, so I must not feel deprived or limited. Keto is very effective for me but not sustainable, IF is effective and sustainable 😁

Thank you so much for sharing :) I've honestly been feeling so overwhelmed lately because I've been really wanting to eat more healthy fats with low carbs but I've also noticed that my body doesn't handle eggs or hamburgers very well. I eat grass fed ground beef and chicken and love salmon. Does anyone else have trouble digesting these things? I've always done lots of soups with chickpeas and tons of veggies. I think I felt especially overwhelmed to discover that a fourth of a cup of beans has 36grams of carbs. at first I felt like maybe I shouldn't do this but my body reacts well to it and to small amounts of jasmine rice. I feel like for me personally maybe it is okay to do 50 grams of healthy carbs a day. I feel like on a daily basis when I go completely without, I don't do well. Trying to eliminate all processed foods and sugar as much as possible. This is a relief to me to see that its okay to not be perfect. my struggle with perfectionism sometimes is tough

When I see how much food you consume, I am amazed. I would feel so sick if I ate that much at once. But I don't want to eat too few calories. I am concerned that OMAD just may not work for me. I’m a new subscriber 😊💖 so please excuse me if I don’t know how you do things yet. I’ve been OMAD for about 2 months now. It’s working good so far. I’ve went from keto eating 3 meals a day to trying keto + fasting to see if I could accelerate my results. It was working amazing until I went on vacation and decided to let loose! I couldn’t quite get back on track after my vacation and started gaining weight (which my family said I needed to do) but I’m afraid I’ll start gaining more weight than I want to! So I’m hoping OMAD everyday will help me get a routine back into place. Since my vacation I’ve steered away from keto and went more low carb. My vice is desert or candy! So I’ll eat my one meal low carb and eat all the candy and sweets I want after until I’m full. I need to quit the candy but it’s been so hard. I want to live a happy life and eat what I want sometimes so I’m glad I found your channel so I can see that it’s definitely do-able to have what you want sometimes!

I really enjoy your eating style because it is "normal"...not keto lol I don't quite understand the need for an up day/down day. For me that probably would not work, I think I would feel quite restricted and that's one of the things that make Intermittent Fasting work for me...I feel like I can do whatever I want in my eating window, no restrictions. It kind of reminds me of carb cycling and that was a nightmare for me, lol. But, I can still gain a lot of useful information by watching you, thank you for sharing.

Love this concept. I will do really “good” for a while. Get bored “fall of the wagon” and then want to do good again and I am so reluctant. I also eat more than before of foods that are restricted.

If you like dipping your pizza in ranch try ranch and sriracha mixed together! Best pizza dip ever!

You get me!! I do this, or often if homemade pizza I do a sriracha swirl on my sauce and eventually it’s dipped in ranch 🤤

I’m new to IF and have really enjoyed your videos. Thank you for sharing. Vitamin D drops are flavourless. 1000 iu units in one drop. The gummies prob don’t have very much vitamin d. In the fall and winter months I take 5000 iu everyday so that’s 5 liquid drops.

So do you typically do one down day, followed by one up day, and then omad for the rest of the week? And is this your maintenance regime?

I cannot believe how much food you get to eat. I fast OMD and cannot get so much food in. Your 500 calorie meal is my OMD, good for you 👍

Thank you. Can you recap your week? Explain in writing on your write up under this video? Your plan? I missed why you do the 500 calorie day. Down days? Up days? I’ve done OMAD for a month and Ive been eating what I want after 24 hours. Veggies, rice, chicken and dessert. Eating window is one hour. Opens @ 5:00 pm, closes @ 6:00. 5 days a week, I do it on my work week I’m so busy at work (water and black coffee daily) 16:8 on weekends. What am I doing wrong?

What does black coffee do..I like it only with creme and sugar but since IF..I may have a medum cup with cream or almond milk and sweetner..during my 4 hour eating window. I'm trying to give it up.

How often do you go potty? Is it normal not to poop everyday when you are on iF? Do u ever get constipated? If so, how do you handle it for longer term?

THANK YOU for this. I've been intermittent fasting for just a couple of weeks and im doing well but I was so worried the results would fade before I get to my goal weight because I don't eat low carb or keto or whatever ( goal weight is still overweight but better than where I am now which is obese) and now I feel like I can do it.

I'll take mental/emotional health over any kind of body changes. Giving up dieting was the best thing I eve did in my life after 25 years of an unhealthy relationship with food. Not dieting changed it for sure!

I’m back with a question, does taking meds/supplements with water break your fast? I’m guessing yes, just trying not to wait until 2pm to take them.

    • @SN-bl6xm

If you have to take medication, you should maybe ask your doctor. Some medication you have to take, for example, every 12 hours - even if you are fasting. I personally take my medication also during the fasting time and my supplements I take during the eating time.

One more question: so, do you do IF some days and OMAD the other days? I’m trying to get a grip on all of this. I’ve been doing OMAD for 6 days, so just starting. I have abt 80 lbs to lose.

Hi Jackie, your channel keeps me inspired as intermittent faster. Would like to know what brand watch are you using to track your steps while walking and is your home steps apart of you routine walking steps? Meaning your 10,000 steps are done on Your regular walking or it's combined? Thanks for the info. "IF-Girl". Love your channel

I just started using the a activity tracker on my Apple Watch (just got on my birthday, so haven’t been using long!) prior to that I used a free under armor app to track my walks (in miles not steps). I don’t track my walks for a goal (unless doing a challenge) but if I were, I would count any and all steps in a day.
