Well I’m a hurt ppl but I want so badly to be a healed ppl. I have been a teen mom, homeless, alcoholic, drug addict (2 yrs clean) and I found out since my sobriety recently I was sexually abused at 4yrs old. I am finally understanding this is what I’ve been hiding and running from my whole life. I am learning slowly to accept the pain this has caused but the anger will not subside. I know I would not be the woman I am today if the bad parts of my life had not happened, and I appreciate and love the woman I’ve become, but I am exhausted from holding this anger. I want to be able to help other boys and girls that are dealing or have dealt with this type of pain but I feel like I can’t be completely of service with this anger. Any advice is so appreciated! Bless you all!!

Best advice i received in 2020: Stillness, any amount of stillness you can give yourself, weither is 5 minutes, weither is 3 hours. Go some place, be quiet, turn your phone off, turn off everything and just sit in stillness, so you can hear yourself. The longer you stay, you will hear beyond yourself....🙏

Wow, at 7, Jada's father told her I'm an addict, an alcoholic, and a criminal, and I can't be your Dad. Her Mother was an addict as well. It's a miracle that Jada survived and is here today. Yes, she's made huge mistakes but haven't we all? Give her love and understanding instead of criticism. God can, and is, using Jada in a profound way. Listen to this entire video. Jada drops so many profound nuggets of information like "Love must go from you, to God, then to your spouse. If it goes straight from you to your spouse, you'll mess it up every time." I took notes during this video. You may not agree with how Will and Jada raised their kids but that's their business. Jada is open and honest and has a lot of life experiences to share. Listen, and you will definitely learn something! Jay Shetty, this was an outstanding interview! Thank you both!

There’s a lot of fluff out there in the discourse around self love and healing etc.
But JADA PINKETT-SMITH always allows us to go deep and real and raw and heavy and reach that sweet spot of understanding within ourselves that can take a lifetime to experience.
I am very grateful for this podcast! So many highlights in this: the true love metrics, the fact that a ‘relationship’ is a mirror to how you treat you, parenting, laying the inner warrior to rest, true love is blue not red and the false hood around romanticism.

This is some real stuff! When she spoke she took me to a place where I began to look within myself and realized all my faults and egotistical ways. It's deeper than just "self awareness". I thank God for leading me here. I thank Jada for being able to speak her truths which in turn helps so many people in this world who are hurting.

How do you "lay down the warrior" to even begin to dismantle the ego. I struggle alot with the warrior and it constantly brings out my pride and leads me to toxic interactions because you feel like you are defending yourself and your respect. This interview was so mind opening, thank you!

Jada seems to be summarizing what you might hope to learn after 20 years of good therapy. What she shared was very generous and really useful. I wasn’t that big a fan before but I certainly am now. Jay did an awesome job creating a safe space and encouraging Jada ‘s wisdom to flow. Loved seeing these 2 outstanding individuals talk.

“Relying on the self love patterns THAT WE HAVE THE COURAGE TO CREATE to confirm us” IS the next level of how I relate with those I want to love but they can’t accept, because i REFUSE to validate them, because it doesn’t help them, but they can’t see it. They get upset with me (or what I say is they reject their own mirror) because they thought they chose a friend to validate them. I’m not the one. It’s inauthentic and anti growth. Jada summed it up perfectly. That was the adlib I was missing but I knew why I rejected the notion. But the loving comeback is giving the understanding of what it means to implement love patterns for self that will replace those toxic patterns of codependence, false and toxic relating. The need to be validated, confirmed, recognized, and acknowledged is one of the WORST especially for the black communities. It’s like the foundation of life struggles. Honestly. Mainly, because it solidifies the high position of the ego
