GREAT honest video! I think a lot of naysayers, think this bike is supposed to compete with 600 & 700cc middleweights in price and performance. Nope! It's basically a throwback to the early days (60s, 70s & 80s) when small cc race bikes reigned supreme on the race track. Kawasaki saw this as an opportunity to make a limited run of these bikes for a select few who know who it is made for. Is it for a beginner? It could be. They may not make this bike for long, which would make it a collectable in a few yrs, especially if no other manufacturer competes with Kawasaki in this engine size. Currently, no other manufacturer does. Adding this bike to your collection is perfect but don't get it, thinking you'll keep up with CBR 600rr, ZX6r, GSXR 600/700, R6, Aprilia 660 ..etc
Just got mine a month ago. First bike I’ve owned and I couldn’t agree more with this review. Sure, I wish it was a little cheaper, but it’s a blast to ride. So worth it in my opinion. I know with a tune you can unlock a lot of power but I don’t even think it’s needed. Could be because I’m a starter but I’m very happy with it as is. It even sounds amazing!!
I always wanted a small cc inline-4 bike for YEARS. Ever since I’ve seen the CBR250RR in videos back in 2008. These are great bikes to mess around on. Not everything is about speed. I definitely want one.
This bike turns into a different bike at 11k. You just need not to be afraid to wind it out. It's like a 2 cycle up in the top end. I love mine in stock form. I'll get it tuned to get the extra 25 hp out of it.
Nice review. The top-end power is there, just neutered for the US market with electronics. The ZX4R will accelerate like a true super sport between 10K and the redline with an ecu tune. Add the quick shifter and you will be one happy rider.
Thanks for the review man, keep up the good work. In your opinion, how does it fare against the Ninja 650? Is there any area where the 650 stands out? Except for the price difference ofc.
@@Anthony-hc9ib True, plus the sweet inline 4 sound is cherry on top. But a bit pricey for people on a budget, i guess the insurance rates would be higher too. Since you have driven the ninja 500 as well, how does it compare against N650? Is it meant for freeways? Which one was more fun to ride?
Why didn't you rev it out to 16,000 rpm, that's what it's made for??? Need to get the ZX-4RR with the quick shifter and auto blipper. 40th anniversary looks amazing.
I just got this a little over a month ago. I’m 5’9 and I can comfortably plant both feet on the ground. My gf is 5’3 and she could touch the ground as well. More so on her tippy toes.

Couldn't agree more!

After riding 1200km with my black zx4r I can tell it is sooooooo great!!!
Awesome bike!🏴

My dream bike

Awesome!!!👍
Being an Inline 4 makes it an entry level supersport bike.
Thanks for the review man, keep up the good work.

No but cbr650 is a lot better. 95 hp! Easy to ride.

Probably because it's not out of the break in period.
What is that flashing red light on the back of the riders helmet in front of you?
Great for visibility especially at night.
Looks like the LED brake lights from Brake Free.
thats the 1st time I hear Kawasaki sent the best stuff to Brazil. We have quickshifter, more power, and sliders. I guess we have the SE version of it.
The RR has a quick shifter, but it's also around 3k more, lol
How tall are you? Do you think a 5'4 person can stand on this with both legs comfortably or one leg leaning comfortably?

@@davey946 Thanks for the insight! Do you think wearing some boots will help with the height?
@@rogerdodgerxd what do you think...
The RR model has a quickshifter, standard R model does not. 👍
i'll get this when i'm 19
Yeah, the price is a night and day difference too.
Think the KLR could have taken the little Ninja 4R :) .
How much it will cost in second hand out there..?
I haven't seen any used ones in my area ha
Is there any performance difference between zx4r and zx-4rr
Nope, the rr gets the quick shifter, and adjustable front and rear suspension
The bike is probably limited, if you unlock it, you’ll gain at least 50% more power
One of the big dogs.. 400cc motorcycle. 🤡Welcome to clown ride reviews
