First of all congrats on having the first ride footage of the N500 on TH-cam (trust me I looked into it, there's only Indian walk-around videos available at the time of commenting). Between the standard and SE version you aren't missing out on much. Every accessory on the SE can be purchased separately (sliders/taller windscreen/USB/tank grips), KIPASS is a useless gimmick, and the TFT-dash, while nice, in no way impacts the riding experience. I don’t think the features on SE model are pointless. It may cost more with labor and parts if you want to install all of them on base separately. So if u want those features better to get SE. But I agree the base model is good enough and rider experience will not be impacted. I went with SE cause it was just a tad bit more with all cool features and I didn’t want to do anything after I get my bike :)

You are probably 2-3 people in North America that have the ninja 500. I’m in Florida and we get ours late, definitely swap it for the SE model though, don’t leave all that value on the table 💯
I waited until end of October for an announcement. When dealers were telling me there's no replacement for the 400, I got the 400. Then this came out. Love the color too! Enjoy!
one of the dealers in my area told me the same thing too and started to aggressively push a CFMoto450 instead, good thing I went to an exclusive kawasaki dealership next and secured myself a 500 krt se instead. Im just waiting for the phone call for when it gets here!
I'm super curious how this compares to the N400 as far as performance goes. It sounds like it has the same 0-60 and top speed, but may have more midrange grunt. I think the only real way to measure the difference would be to get hands on and ride it. I imagine a tune would yield better results on the 500 than the 400 as well. Can't wait to see what people do with this bike.

@@the_lejend24 never ridden before . I plan on taking an msf course soon . As far as the used bike , I considered it and I’m almost ok with buying new and risking the inevitable slight damage from dropping it . I’m still saving so it’ll be worth the wait .
Im tippy toed one with one foot. Im sure at 5’4 youll be at least tippy toes with both feet. I just learned to manage the balance. U can always lower it too. I have a lowered N400 and i tippy toe both feet on the ground.
Nice! Do you happen to know if the bikes power is restricted during the break in period? I put my preorder in here in Toronto and was told delivery will be in april. The break in period with my KTM was painful so hopefully the 500 will be unlocked out of the crate. Congrats.
Its always recommended to follow the restrictions when breaking in a bike. You can always proceed to ignore it, but if hiccups occur it will probably be based on how you broke the bike in.

The start ups sound different depending on if its starting from cold or its starting up, but already warm. I think at that time the bike was running before that start up.

As stated in the video, you’re paying for the reputation of riding “a 500”. Its a twin to the 400. I know the honda cbr500 is much heavier, a bit taller, and goes about the same speed as the ninja 400/500. I couldve gotten another 400 if I wanted to instead of the 500, but for convenience and due to response time, I just went with the 500, but theyre pretty much siblings, the ninja 400 and 500.
I’m 4 foot, 10 inches tall. I think positioning is pretty neutral, if you get worn you just rest your stomach on the gas tank. Anyone who rides street bikes for more than an hour or so, your back starts to get tired
I travel for work and my Ninja 400 is staying on the island until I leave my company that sends me there frequently. Or if I find my original 2023 pearl white blizzard 400, ill sell the one on the island for it and put it somewhere else in the states. I travel a lot… havent settled entirely anywhere. Im that one odd percentile of people.

Everything he does on this ninja 500 is exactly the same as people on gsxr 1000’s will do 95% of the time. This coming from 2 guys with gsxr 1000’s. The problem is that the biking community has more guys with micro dicks that think that more cc’s will make them a man. Buy a supersport and go 270km/h once, and only once and then the rest of the time sprint to 100km/h one measly second faster than this ninja 500, and feel like a big man, and leave dumb comments on here. For anyone wondering I tried the 500 and I’m 5”9 140Lb. I can flat foot it. If you are shorter than that you’ll be tiptoeing a little.

Physically it’s the same, same seat height at 30.9 inches. Supposedly 10 lbs heavier but that isnt a significant difference.
