Haha so true. My thinking behind it is that it they just lose their edges and become basic and dull after years of disuse. Once our characters find them and sharpen them back up to its legendary status, then they can absolutely do some serious damage.

Or assassinated the emperor...or let loose a bunch of crazed maniacs from prison...Or beat an elderly priest to death with a maze to appease the Deadric prince of rape...

And they want to mess with the Daedra or play games and such stuff as that. Like the game says itself, The Daedra and Aaedra aren't inherently evil, and both sides are capable of doing whatever they want. They don't care unless it messes with another God. Obviously that's just a general rule of thumb, their are several instances that go against this but I still feel it's pretty solid. Someone please fact check me

Another thing about Foltheim the secret Blade: if you go into the Nightgate Inn dressed up as a Thalmor, he becomes automatically hostile and attacks the player.
I actually think Mjoll The Lioness is Skyrim's greatest hero. Her town was raided and burned to the ground. Her brother was murdered in front of her. She learned hunting skills from her father and fighting skills from her mother. She didn't become a bandit herself, never commit a crime, and has a clean record. Her life is defined by adventuring and protecting the weak and vulnerable. She is young, has a strong moral code, skilled, has not a single bad bone in her body. Greed doesn't infect her. Wealth means little. She cannot be blackmailed or bribed, is completely fearless, and is a physical powerhouse. She is practically the Captain America of Skyrim. She is the number one hero in Skyrim, in my opinion.

However, if the player accidentally attacks her, I imagine she assumes the Dragonborn has lost control of their "gift" and has gone feral so she takes it upon herself to put you down before you threaten the health and safety of anyone else. If Sheogorath is the Hero of Kvatch, who in the main questline of Oblivion joins the Blades as a member, doesn't that make Sheogorath one of the last surviving Blades too?
@@the_dropbear4392 Well, one might say that after Martin Septim's death, the Hero's contract with the Blades had ended, a they had only intended to serve in the name of Martin, and saw no reason to continue as a Blade with the Emperor's death. Honorable discharge is still a thing in the Elder Scrolls universe.

You see his grateful ghost and he gifts you Sailor’s Repose a permanent power that grants 10% more healing to all your Restoration spells. You have to know and share that part! Hard's tale has to be one of the most tragic tale in moder day skyrim he tried to fought a cave full of falmer and chaurus like, can you imagine how terrifying it must be to fight those monsters espescially the chaurus ? He even closed the door leaving him with no escape in case things go wrong to make sure the falmers wouldnt be free. That takes some balls of steel to do that espescially since I'm pretty sure Hard was just a normal dude.

Fultheim is also further incriminated by the fact that someone put a hit out to the dark brotherhood for a person named Fultheim. It may be a coincidence but in the quest With friends like these, the Dragonborn must kill a Fultheim the Fearless who is anything but. It’s possible that the Thalmor put out the hit but the Dark Brotherhood, without the guidance of the Night Mother and using hear-say for most contracts, may have picked up the wrong Fultheim. Why? Because who would suspect a crotchety old man to be a thorn in the Thalmor’s side as opposed to a moderately well known sell sword? But hey, that’s just a theory.... A game theory!
According to a commenter fultheim automatically becomes hostile if you enter the inn with dark brotherhood armor on so that's actually really interesting
King Harald erased the records of Geirmund because if people knew about his heroism, they would know about the brothers and the Amulet of Gauldur. This would have created more chaos as ambitious people try to obtain the amulet but just end up releasing the brothers into Skyrim again.
I specifically made fan art of Balimund because he died trying to defend Riften when a dragon landed on mistveil keep and started torching the place. He grabbed a sword and ran back to the mausoleum area where the fight had moved and I saw him get murdered to death by the dragon. When it was over the whole town came and lined up to see the carnage but it looked like they were paying respect to a fallen hero. I love these games so much.

All the blacksmiths are fearless. The one in Shor's Stone doesn't hesitate when frostbite spiders attack. He wasn't talking shit when he said the guards are useless, as he always gets to the spiders long before the guards even notice. I've made it a habit to keep a follower or two at Adrianne's smithy in Whiterun in case of a vampire attack, as Adrianne will come out swinging and it never looks good for her with only the one guard at the main gate, unless another is nearby on their patrol. And then there is Ghorza in Markarth. She might be the one reason I never do the Forsworn Quest, as she will fight any Forsworn during the breakout. And while her assistant is useless, she is not, as for one reason being that she is a trainer. Maybe if there was a bigger potential of reward for that quest, as in actually being friends with all the Forsworn after it, but since there is not, I prefer having Ghorza alive and a friend.
What about Valdar? The Nord adventurer who stumbled upon Hevnoraak's tomb and dedicated his live and unlife to prevent the most cruel of the dragon priests to ressurect himself and continue his reign of terror.
I have always thought it was funny that EVERYTHING in Skyrim is affected by one person: The Dragonborn. Literally the entirety of Skyrim rests on the shoulders of the Dragonborn and his choices

If you take Habd's remains to the lighthouse fire, you can get a special bonus for fulfilling his last wish. I think you get "Healing spells cure 10% more"
Honestly, considering how much mages or "clevermen" influenced Skyrim's early culture as well as how big of a role they played in so many big moments, it's a shame that modern Skyrim holds such an overwhelming disdain to magic.
Salvianus is the most tragic forgotten hero of skyrim in my opinion. Living shellshocked and impoverished in the sewers is not the fate any veteran should have to endure... Now, give him a coin, you selfish hero!
I just uninstalled this game and now your videos are making me install it for the 5th time (everytime I think I'm done with the game I see a Nate video and reinstall it again ) . Stuck in this endless cycle of life and death .
I feel the same I have poured so many hours into skyrim and have so many characters that I know most of the places by heart and I still want to go back and play it again my last character was a light armoured argonian dual wielding swords and I loved playing that way but when I got to the part of capturing the dragon at white run the game would keep hard crashing so I couldn't finish it off
it make sense that there would be high elves that disagree with thalmor, but I'm guessing there in the minority. you know if you think about it if you roleplay as a high elf you can technically give yourself the back story that you're the hero of every crisis major the Elder Scrolls timeline from Arena or Daggerfall. though I've only done the math for Daggerfall to skyrim ( during Daggerfall age 30, Morrowind age 52, Oblivion age 58, skyrim age 264) by my math a high elf protagonist would be in there late 200s early 300 by the time of skyrim.
if you think about it you can also roleplay as the same guy from Morrowind regardless of race because during the events of the game he becomes immune to age
That doesn't really work as the characters in arena and dagger fall have backstorys that are different, also the agent in dagger fall dies at the end, the nerevarine leaves for Akavir and the CoC becomes Sheogorath
@@the_dropbear4392 everyone knows the Elder Scrolls is told from the perspective of a unreliable narrator, so it's possible the protagonist of daggerfall could in fact be alive, and just faked there death (because the full Elder Scrolls timeline I looked at has no mention of the protagonist dying) and spun a tale about their demise.
No need to be an Altmer if you're a mage. As Archmage Aren told me, "What you learn here will last you a lifetime. Several, if you're talented." Restoration is a perfectly valid school of magic, indeed. (Or was he recommending conjuration? Alteration?) There's also vampirism as another option.
Gurdur of course, she gives you everything she owns literally, no matter what faction you decide to follow in the end after meeting her. She's managed to keep Riverwood afloat since it's been under her care, taking care of her own people and mere strangers like yourself.
There's another Dragonborn in Sovngarde who recognizes that you are also Dovahkiin. Despite never having their story told or even their name being revealed to us, it's a pretty cool thought that there are other Dragonborns (besides Miraak) who recognize you as one of their own.
Bolar was also a fallen Blade, who made his last stand in a cave somewhere in Whiterun (I can't really remember his name), whose blade you can find in the game, alongside a note detailing his end.
The ghost homie in Valthume. Stopped an evil dude from conquering Skyrim in life and keeps him from resurrecting and summon an undead are while being a ghost. Truly a hero!
Svaknir. Dared to defy the greatest hero of the time to share the truth. Olaf doesn't even contradict it when you see him in Sovngarde, and even gives respect to Svaknir.
Taking Habd's remains to the top of the lighthouse and burn them into the torch will grant you a bonus effect named "Sailor's Repose". Habd is still taking care of us by lighting our path. He is the true hero.
Even more evidence that Fultheim is a blade is that if you have a high elf character wearing thalmor robes and you enter the inn, fultheim can actually become hostile to you.
Like that would work we put off defeating the world eater to stroll around the region delving into caves and ancient tombs and ignoring anything to do with our fate till we get bored n figure hey I should probably mention to that thank guy there is a village wanting aid from a Dragon attack
The Ghost Of Saint Juib needed to be on this list. He helped to start the Nerevarine on his quest to defeat Dagoth Ur, he rid Morrowind of the cliff racer plague, he attempted (though unsuccessfully) to fight to save Kavatch when the Deadra invaded, and while in the Soul Carin he gave the DragonBorn a powerful amulet that helped him on his quest to defeat Alduin. This man is a hero across almost 1000 years and three games. He needs recognition.
Ralph F. Douglas you’re right. For some reason I thought it was like 700 years between Morrowind and Skyrim. 700 is close enough to call 1000 for me considering most elves don’t even live that long without being killed(their natural lifespan is longer than that though).
Regarding Fultheim's involvement with the blades, further evidence can be attributed to his demeanour in a very specific scenario. You see, if you play an Altmer and enter the Inn wearing Thalmor robes, Fultheim will immediately become hostile. An additional coincidence worth noting is the fact that one of the 3 possible contract victims provided by Astrid in With Friends Like These is a bandit named Fultheim the Fearless. It is widely speculated that his presence there is a matter of mistaken identity, and that there indeed exists a Thalmor assassination contract on the Fultheim at Nightgate.
The Habd quest was by far my favorite quest to do, as it gave off a very dark vibe, and showed what it would really be like for someone to live in that type of setting. Reminds me a bit of Goblin Slayer.

The real hero was the guard at the start of the game. He was struck down and wounded and couldn't walk, his crying child came dashing at him crying, he knelt in shock, as the world eater came sawing down crashing just behind them. Wounded guard (father): "go please..." Child: "NO!" wounded guard (father): "please son GO! the child took one last look at him as he dashed off Wounded guard (father): "that's my boy..." Alduin opened his jaw wide as a flaming blaze finishes him off... That kid should of had a side quest.

Forbidden Legend is one of my favorite quests in the game although I hate having to start the College of Winterhold (if I’m not going to do it) and fighting Sigdis. Yet i always thought that it was all hype how much power the Amulet gave Gauldur and his sons. All it does is give you a little better stat boost.

The Windhelm Merchant Niranye is most likely a Thalmor mole or agent just getting close to the priests to better keep track of them if not gain their confidence as part of a long game approach/scheme.
10 tiny details: In the quest "A False Front", when you deliver the fake message to Frokmar (Stormcloak general) while wearing Empire uniform, you unlock a unique dialogue with him, asking why you are wearing the enemy's uniform

Never tried it myself, but supposedly in a manner quite similar to disguising yourself as a Thalmor agent at the Embassy, if you're playing as a High Elf and wear the Thalmor uniform when entering Nightgate Inn then Fultheim will assume you're there for him and immediately attack you.
Did you know in Habd's journal or a note he mentions he would like anyone to put his remains in the light house fire ,and you actually can do it. Definitely not necessary but it's quite satisfying. RIP Habd.

Hard's tale has to be one of the most tragic tale in moder day skyrim he tried to fought a cave full of falmer and chaurus like, can you imagine how terrifying it must be to fight those monsters espescially the chaurus ? He even closed the door leaving him with no escape in case things go wrong to make sure the falmers wouldnt be free. That takes some balls of steel to do that espescially since I'm pretty sure Hard was just a normal dude.

Fultheim is also further incriminated by the fact that someone put a hit out to the dark brotherhood for a person named Fultheim. It may be a coincidence but in the quest With friends like these, the Dragonborn must kill a Fultheim the Fearless who is anything but. It’s possible that the Thalmor put out the hit but the Dark Brotherhood, without the guidance of the Night Mother and using hear-say for most contracts, may have picked up the wrong Fultheim. Why? Because who would suspect a crotchety old man to be a thorn in the Thalmor’s side as opposed to a moderately well known sell sword?
But hey, that’s just a theory....

According to a commenter fultheim automatically becomes hostile if you enter the inn with dark brotherhood armor on so that's actually really interesting
King Harald erased the records of Geirmund because if people knew about his heroism, they would know about the brothers and the Amulet of Gauldur. This would have created more chaos as ambitious people try to obtain the amulet but just end up releasing the brothers into Skyrim again.
I specifically made fan art of Balimund because he died trying to defend Riften when a dragon landed on mistveil keep and started torching the place. He grabbed a sword and ran back to the mausoleum area where the fight had moved and I saw him get murdered to death by the dragon. When it was over the whole town came and lined up to see the carnage but it looked like they were paying respect to a fallen hero. I love these games so much.

All the blacksmiths are fearless. The one in Shor's Stone doesn't hesitate when frostbite spiders attack. He wasn't talking shit when he said the guards are useless, as he always gets to the spiders long before the guards even notice. I've made it a habit to keep a follower or two at Adrianne's smithy in Whiterun in case of a vampire attack, as Adrianne will come out swinging and it never looks good for her with only the one guard at the main gate, unless another is nearby on their patrol.
And then there is Ghorza in Markarth. She might be the one reason I never do the Forsworn Quest, as she will fight any Forsworn during the breakout. And while her assistant is useless, she is not, as for one reason being that she is a trainer. Maybe if there was a bigger potential of reward for that quest, as in actually being friends with all the Forsworn after it, but since there is not, I prefer having Ghorza alive and a friend.

Elder Scrolls lore like most fantasy universes (lotr, warhammer etc.) is mostly made up from the actions of a few extremely powerful individuals

Honestly, considering how much mages or "clevermen" influenced Skyrim's early culture as well as how big of a role they played in so many big moments, it's a shame that modern Skyrim holds such an overwhelming disdain to magic.

I feel the same I have poured so many hours into skyrim and have so many characters that I know most of the places by heart and I still want to go back and play it again my last character was a light armoured argonian dual wielding swords and I loved playing that way but when I got to the part of capturing the dragon at white run the game would keep hard crashing so I couldn't finish it off
it make sense that there would be high elves that disagree with thalmor, but I'm guessing there in the minority. you know if you think about it if you roleplay as a high elf you can technically give yourself the back story that you're the hero of every crisis major the Elder Scrolls timeline from Arena or Daggerfall. though I've only done the math for Daggerfall to skyrim ( during Daggerfall age 30, Morrowind age 52, Oblivion age 58, skyrim age 264) by my math a high elf protagonist would be in there late 200s early 300 by the time of skyrim.

if you think about it you can also roleplay as the same guy from Morrowind regardless of race because during the events of the game he becomes immune to age
That doesn't really work as the characters in arena and dagger fall have backstorys that are different, also the agent in dagger fall dies at the end, the nerevarine leaves for Akavir and the CoC becomes Sheogorath
@@the_dropbear4392 everyone knows the Elder Scrolls is told from the perspective of a unreliable narrator, so it's possible the protagonist of daggerfall could in fact be alive, and just faked there death (because the full Elder Scrolls timeline I looked at has no mention of the protagonist dying) and spun a tale about their demise.

Gurdur of course, she gives you everything she owns literally, no matter what faction you decide to follow in the end after meeting her. She's managed to keep Riverwood afloat since it's been under her care, taking care of her own people and mere strangers like yourself.
There's another Dragonborn in Sovngarde who recognizes that you are also Dovahkiin. Despite never having their story told or even their name being revealed to us, it's a pretty cool thought that there are other Dragonborns (besides Miraak) who recognize you as one of their own.

Taking Habd's remains to the top of the lighthouse and burn them into the torch will grant you a bonus effect named "Sailor's Repose".
Habd is still taking care of us by lighting our path. He is the true hero.

The Ghost Of Saint Juib needed to be on this list. He helped to start the Nerevarine on his quest to defeat Dagoth Ur, he rid Morrowind of the cliff racer plague, he attempted (though unsuccessfully) to fight to save Kavatch when the Deadra invaded, and while in the Soul Carin he gave the DragonBorn a powerful amulet that helped him on his quest to defeat Alduin. This man is a hero across almost 1000 years and three games. He needs recognition.
1000 years? Only about 200, Oblivion is just a few years after Morrowind.
Ralph F. Douglas you’re right. For some reason I thought it was like 700 years between Morrowind and Skyrim. 700 is close enough to call 1000 for me considering most elves don’t even live that long without being killed(their natural lifespan is longer than that though).
Regarding Fultheim's involvement with the blades, further evidence can be attributed to his demeanour in a very specific scenario. You see, if you play an Altmer and enter the Inn wearing Thalmor robes, Fultheim will immediately become hostile.
An additional coincidence worth noting is the fact that one of the 3 possible contract victims provided by Astrid in With Friends Like These is a bandit named Fultheim the Fearless. It is widely speculated that his presence there is a matter of mistaken identity, and that there indeed exists a Thalmor assassination contract on the Fultheim at Nightgate.
The Habd quest was by far my favorite quest to do, as it gave off a very dark vibe, and showed what it would really be like for someone to live in that type of setting. Reminds me a bit of Goblin Slayer.

Forbidden Legend is one of my favorite quests in the game although I hate having to start the College of Winterhold (if I’m not going to do it) and fighting Sigdis. Yet i always thought that it was all hype how much power the Amulet gave Gauldur and his sons. All it does is give you a little better stat boost.

The Windhelm Merchant Niranye is most likely a Thalmor mole or agent just getting close to the priests to better keep track of them if not gain their confidence as part of a long game approach/scheme.

Never tried it myself, but supposedly in a manner quite similar to disguising yourself as a Thalmor agent at the Embassy, if you're playing as a High Elf and wear the Thalmor uniform when entering Nightgate Inn then Fultheim will assume you're there for him and immediately attack you.
Did you know in Habd's journal or a note he mentions he would like anyone to put his remains in the light house fire ,and you actually can do it.
