In this episode I take my @Seadoo 16 Miles offshore and instantly hooked up on Multiple species of offshore fish and ended catching my PB Fish which was an absolute GIANT FISH!!

What a catch!!!!! I didn’t realize you could get a Red Snapper from trolling.
Man it surprised the hell out of me especially considering how fast I was trolling

@southernsalt yeah I finally hooked into a monster big ugly and that set it for me, can't wait to hook another had a blast catching it on the kayak
Thought for sure that was going to be a Jack Crevalle. Man was I wrong. Did you at least get a length on that Snapper? It it was over 30" it had to be at least 20 lbs. That was a helluva catch trolling.

Yeah those foot wells fill up with water pretty easy but as soon as you give it gas it drains out the back

I’m gonna ask a stupid question I know. I’m not an offshore guy but I’d sure love to though. So, here’s the question. Your first fish was a Lane snapper. Then a Red snapper. They look a lot alike. What are the differences in the two and does the Lane count towards your bag limit of Red snapper.
Two different limits and a lane has pretty stripes, google the two for good photos
A Lane Snapper has a spot on its side and stripes.. I'm originally from New Orleans and hardly ever caught a Lane Snapper but caught plenty of Red Snappers around the rigs in the Lake Borgne/ Mississippi Sound area..
Not a stupid question at all. Kane snapper have yellow lines that run horizontal down their body ( very beautiful fish ) they don’t count towards your red snapper limit but they do count towards your total reef fish limit
You might want to run a wire leader with haywire twist for those expensive lures. Use the smallest black barrel swivel you can find so they don’t hit that.

You should not eat King Mackerel. The fish is high in toxic mercury. I have caught the they put on a fabulous fight, but shouldn't be eaten. Be safe.
