Are the butterfly screws staked?

Yes you need to stake the backside of the thread sticking through for failsafe... doesn't have to be radical it just has to be

I put my leather seals on without punching the hole bigger. Won’t be doing that again! Throttle is too stiff…not sure if I should bother with disassembling it again to correct it or just let it wear into the seals and make sure I have an external return spring

Hope it works in but you may want to take them out and re-work the hole
