    You are the man Rick! Wonderful display of how even light colors can pop when pampered. I see you're still using the 2 mm blocks to apply the coatings. I'm not offering you my medical services when you get carpal tunnel, LOL. Ragg Company puts out their ergonometric 'puck' applicator and Chemical Guys has a larger rectangular microfiber applicator that fits the hand nicely. I'm only sharing because I care about you 😀. Really awesome work. Your detailing and video work only gets better and better. All the best!

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's good advice. I don't love those pinch blocks either. I have some microfibre and microsuede applicators, but they tend to "bunch up" on me even worse than the microfibre cloths on the foam applicator block. I'll look into the applicators you suggested. Thanks for caring about me! 🤘

    Wow Rick! I don't even know where to begin. This is your best video yet, which is hard to imagine that you can even get better at this point. I wouldn't even call this a detailing video, it's a work of art worthy of a movie theater big screen. I enjoyed it so much and will watch it again this afternoon. I can't even image how many video shots you took to make this. On another note, I did my first garage wash with my Swisstrax this morning and what a game changer. The only thing I didn't like is that I didn't do this 10 years ago. Your "10 things I like about my Swisstrax" video was what sold me on it. Thanks for making such entertaining videos. As always, totally RAD detail man! I'm fairly new to iron removers (only used it once) and noticed you went straight into a soap wipe down. In my head I am thinking broken off grit from sandpaper being scratched into the paint but I know many other detailers that follow this process. Maybe someone could enlighten me why this is safe though? It is most definitely efficient because I rinsed the iron remover before a supplemental soap wash afterwards.

      Every project is different. For this one, the amount of fallout was negligible so using my trusty wool wash mitt to capture and carry away the few contaminants that were present made the most sense. If it was caked in contamination I would have blasted it with the pressure washer first and then used the wash mitt.

    Another great movie, but you already know that, I love all your movies! :)) If I can, I will tell you a trick Rick: about ceramic sponge, cut both sides on the sides, along the length, then a suede cloth press into these cut grooves (small knife is good) and you don't have to stick with your fingers anymore. :) Greetings, GOOD JOB with Mini!!! Love it. :)

    • @RADGarage

      Thanks Steven. I am very happy with the way this project worked out. The NV EVO is a really satisfying coating to work with. I like that it requires only a single coat. Question; how did you decide to use Boost quick detailer after coating the vehicle? Does it not affect the curing process of the coating? Obviously not if you're doing it but I'm always leary of using any ceramic sprays on a freshly coated vehicle. A penny for your thoughts.

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am fortunate to have the NV USA rep on speed dial and he suggested Boost as a topper. It gives the coating some slickness and added gloss enhancement but still allows it to breathe. I was contemplating using Lustre or Jet, but those aren't recommended for a few weeks until the EVO has had a chance to 100% cure.

      @@RADGarage thanks for quick reply. I often struggle with using something to clean a freshly coated car during the 7-10 days of curing. I don't have heat lamps and I worry that a bird bomb will etch the coating if not removed quickly. Not everyone can leave their daily driver in the garage for a week while it cures. I think the issue was the paint initially appeared to be quite free of issues, but once I got into it, I discovered more than I anticipated. Great video like always… I always want to know why you use low pressure rinse instead of high pressure rinse after contact wash? Thanks

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, the way I see it, there is no need for a high pressure rinse after the mitt wash. The high pressure rinse after the foam stage ensured all deeply lodged debris is now gone, so it really is just a matter of rinsing away the soap that has encapsulated whatever debris the foam rinse missed. I can do this quickly and more efficiently, using less water with a simple low pressure hose rinse. It saves water, time and wear on my machine. I hope that makes sense. Yo, Rick. Off topic question for ya, what did you use/do you recommend to seal the concrete within your garage? I have a similar climate to yours, down here in Colorado, and I wanted to get your take before I move into a new house and before getting Swisstrax.
    Edit: I have not been able to find a video where you mention what you did/used and why.

    • @RADGarage
      @RADGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I lay a coat of high gloss acrylic sealer down every Summer. It results in a very slippery when wet situation, but the Swisstrax on top makes it a moot point. This is the same sealer I use to protect my exposed aggregate driveway. It rolls on super easy and provides a year’s worth of protection. There are many sealers out there and this one I use came recommended by the team at National Concrete Accessories. They are the leaders here in all things concrete. I’m sure product choice and availability varies by region, but any quality (non-Home Depot) type of concrete sealer that you roll on will help prolong the life of your concrete floor. Here’s the one I use: www.nca.ca/product/premium-seal-cure-25-189l-9679
