1951 Gravely Model L. Will It Run? (Episode 2, Oil and Compression)

Episode 2 of my “Will it run?” series on the 1951 Gravely Model L garden tractor. Today we address the oil problem by installing a spin on filter mount, running new lines, and priming the oil pump. We’re also going to check compression, so to speak.

Thanks! I have my '54 L in my garage to do the same filter and oil line change. Do you need teflon tape on the T and adapter going into the crankcase? PaulL

I’ve never used teflon tape on them.
