Terrific video. This nostalgic sound reminds my holidays when we used to take train to visit grandparents. The sound feels so amazing. Also, a nice view of how tracks change from the closest view possible. Looks like this is not from India but the sound is similar to Indian railways.
Only an electric train would have such fast acceleration. Too many joints in the track increase the possibility of a track defect, continuous welded rail is the solution to all these joints. However some joints are required for signalling purposes.
@@TheBeeMan1994 Diesel generators are heavy and costly to maintain, and not very fuel-efficient (compared to electric). Diesel locomotives in general are heavier and less powerful than their electric counterparts. The only reason anyone still uses Diesel-electric locomotives is because not all tracks are electrified, which would be most of America's railroads.
Are diesel electric multiple units count under “electric trains” for the purposes of this comment? Bombardier Voyagers/Meridians have almost EMU like acceleration
this sound reminds me of my childhood when we used to take the train to travel to my grandparents house !! but now you can't hear that sound anymore because they have made the rails smooth
If you look carefully at the bogie frame, the bogie is "hunting" much of the time. This instability (oscillation) is caused by the wheel treads being worn and the proper conical shape of the wheel treads being worn away. Thanks for doing the video: really useful.
I love this music. The thing that makes trains so cool is that contrast. On one hand it looks fast, elegant, dynamic, it sounds great, but if you imagine, that each of these hits happen under weight of many tons on about one square inch on every wheel, if you imagine, this works in summer, cold winter, the engines can pull hundreds or thoussnds of tons, it is great. And you sit inside and do not feel any of it.
Below 80 kmph, some say 100, all trains speak the same language. It is once you want that barrier crossed, that continuous welded joint tracks come into the picture

I'm not in this trade but always wanted to know why railway tracks are laid over gravel and not something more solid like cement - can anyone enlighten me?
Railways are amazing and under-used, car dominance was once thought to be cheaper but in the long run it's not. I'm European, been to Switzerland many times, and I wish we would have the train system they have. They kind of were forced into trail by their geography (there's a limit on how many cases you can put in a small road) but it paid off.
2:00 Does Anyone here know what those tracks in the middle are used for? Or are they old tracks that has yet to be stripped from the ground? I’m curios 🧐
my deep respect to your great magic sir, all your videos are simply magic for train enthusiasts it`s heaven or more, thanks a lot friend and keep the good working
6:16 very nice sound !
Why this sound is so satisfying?
Rhythmic sound that's why.
Pankaj Sharma, because that is the sound of your childhood!
Cuz its regullar.
pankaj sharma same here😸😸😸
because it has metallic rhythm, sweeter than a metal music
Who needs a 10hr version of this?

Sunil, this is in Bulgaria!
Thanks Tristesse...By the way how do you know this is Bulgaria ?
Indian trains dont pick up speed so fast.. and its definitely not the mumbai local.
Sunil, the simpliest way - I am from Bulgaria:)))
Nice. you recognize the train from underneath :-)
mind blowing acceleration
That acceleration though!
I know right
is that 2x
Omg, the points as the come from nowhere and smoothly move to the left or right is hypnotic. Great job on this vid, thank you for uploading :)
Watch this then... th-cam.com/video/0S43IwBF0uM/w-d-xo.html

François Parent Diesels acellerate quite quickly also. After all they are electric locomotives with a big diesel generator on board to run the motors
The 900/920PS Japanese DMUs that I know can do 0-100kmh in like 40-45 seconds.

Haha..I know right. I wish it made noise. I don't feel the thrill anymore with new trains.

@Naresh Achary he is correct. The point of contact between a road or rail and the wheel tyre is known as the Tread.
One of the sounds that helps people get to sleep.
There's a sense of satisfaction in watching this video at 2x speed that you can't get anywhere else
it sounds like a horse
That sound is magnificent!

Imagine being trapped underneath that, clinging to the bars . Your hands are beginning to tire but you know what letting go means.
best music ever
Looks faster than 100kmh
The camera angle makes it look faster.
@@coroamaelena-doruta4157 It's not about the camera, but the speed of passing joints
Ya ya
Okay, I calculated:
about 70 joints per minute,
25 meters between the joints -
total of 105 km/h

Pretty much a regular European commuter train. Lightweight and high power. Probably a BDZ class 43 or an Electroputere LE5100kW.

If you want to hear unique sounds of Railways, Indonesia has it.
Sofia- Burgas between Tulovo and Dabovo. The loco is 44001 or 44002 BDZ.
Thrilling camera angle. No trace of shakiness. Both acceleration & deceleration seemed abrupt. Great Bulgarian Rail...
