Always informative, I noticed that you like to push your rigs to the limit. I am also reminded that the temperature has an effect on the shocks and or oils used in warmer/colder temperatures.

For a “budget” RC, the Big Rock almost always seems to deliver. And that’s why i love ours. I’m using 6S shocks but will definitely follow that same tightening procedure as I’m pretty sure it’s not been done since the last diff service. I’ve also never checked the pivot balls.

Until you realize how much money it takes to make it a competent and reliable basher.
I've put so much more money in to my 3s arrma, that I could've got an rtr-exb and save $150. And it still breaks every almost every time I run it.
If you want a solid budget basher, get the rival Team Associated mt10.

@@captaincouldverc that’s terrible. Really sorry to hear that. Like most RTRs, ours needed a new servo after a few months . I bent the motor mount on a big send. Otherwise, all the money I’ve spent has been my choice. I choose to upgrade to 6S shocks, RPM arms, different wheels etc. Truck has been super robust. Our vorteks has needed many more ££££a to make it as capable as the BR and the firma esc is a complete pita. I’m a big fan of the 6S range too and I’ve heard great things about the mt10. I’ve got my name down for an mt8 when it comes out.

Maybe I got a bad one, I don't know, all I know is got almost a grand in to that POS and I will never purchase another 3s arrma until they make some serious revisions. And I still may not at that point.
I've had my rival mt10 for a year now, and I'll I've broken its 2 spur gears, and a shock eclip came off, which was an easy repair. It's crazy to think I've got less cash invested into my kraton exb than my typhon 3s. And out of all 3, the rival mt10 is legit my favorite. That little bassterd is so much fun and so darn reliable. That the only car I have I can legit just throw a battery in, and not worry about inspecting it. The little thing just takes a massive beating.

@@captaincouldverc mT10s are such good value too - only £250 here in the U.K ! Whereas we pay lots for our Arrmas and never, ever get deals like the recent one on kraton EXBs.

I like those hot racing pivot balls. They hold up a lot longer than the composite stock ones. Now I'm noticing that some of my rod ends are starting to get a little sloppy. But all in all a great little ripper of an rc. 👏🔥💯👍

I run some proline powerstrokes on my 2wd slash. been running them a couple years and had no problems so far but I mainly race on a backyard track and not much serious bashing.i was going to order some for my granite but I been waiting on a stock shock to break and so far they are still doing well. But the granite gets run on a track mostly also.great videos by the way

First time seeing you rebuild shocks if I remember right. And definitely first time seeing shocks build ‚dead headed‘. I tested few ways by myself to get experience of the different settings and how it works best for me but honestly I never had a noticeable effect on my bashers! Might be completely wrong when it comes to race track! But I really have the feeling that the closer I build my shocks like you do I end up with bubbles in it quickly. Seems to me that air is getting sucked in 🤔 so I ended up with rebuilding them pretty close to the normal ridehight and since then it’s less maintenance.

I haven’t been impressed by proline shocks. They just don’t have a “fit and finish” that matches the price tag. I’ve not had a lot of experience with a list of brands, but the TLR shocks seem to be extremely well made in comparison.

I think of the RC cars/trucks this way it is just a mini version of a real car/truck and when do you stop repairs on that?? When you take it off the road and stop driving it all together.
