I have to say, it takes some massive balls to drive that fast in The Ring in the rain and with another car spitting all that water on your windshield!!!! Great driving, best of luck!
I was trackside on the main straight watching this, just couldnt believe the amount of spray being thrown up AND you guys kept full power on.....brilliant, just brilliant spectacle!!!
Brilliant drive. Seriously. Great car control, terrific braking, excellent rolling momentum, and really cool to watch the driver search for grip. On top of all of that, huge balls. That place is scary enough in the dry let alone the wet. Thanks for posting.
at 11:35 lovely float into the next corner. calm and collected.. not sure if it was intended.. but damn it looked good. -Wonderful piece of driving! Just amazing! Cheers.
True master of his craft .You can see the feel he has for the car, you cant teach that you either got it or you don't. A real loss to motorsport just glad we have all the in car footage of Sean.
I've only just found this for some reason Sean, brilliant drive and great to watch with a long drink! Hope to see you back managing the Don't Lift racing team soon - forget this Porsche stuff! ;- ) .
Wow. That was the most impressive driving i've ever seen. I've always heard that the rain makes the difference btw a good driver and a great one. We've got proof here. Sir: respect.
I am impressed by your strategy! All oportunities taken but main goal to finish a race. I was in June in Clio in similar condition peace of cake compared to your speed & way of Porsche behavior
... and most epic and awesome video (thanks a million for the upload) It's a lot more then masterpiece (in considering it is a first wet race) ... Sean is a true master of the Green Hell and his awesome GT3 Porsche beast!
Sequential shifter married to a dog clutch. You select gears sequentially, with no way to directly access a gear (like a traditional H-pattern). Upshifting without using the clutch is can be done with or without lifting the throttle, depending on the transmission. Downshifting, you need to blip the throttles to keep the engine revs at the right rpm to maximize braking efficiency and keep stress on the engine. You heel-toe the brake/throttle and engage the clutch.
hey sean im really looking forward to see u driving next race hope u come to sweden somtime and ur porsche sound best in the world ps its my wake-up-alarm : )
Would have been about an 8:12 lap around the nordschleife by my measurements... at least how the manufactures measure it. Amazing video. It felt like a 6 minute lap.
Racecars have an different Steering Transmission, in Streetcars you can turn the Wheel 2,5 times. In Racecars only 0,5 times. So 180 degree is the maximmum.
Quick question, how do Porsche race teams counters the weight difference as the fuel tank in the front empties? Do they re position the tank to the middle or just hope it doesn't effect the car?
what kind of shifting is this car? it has a clutch and a stick... but the stick only goes to ways... he doesnt clutch when upshifting but he clutches when down shifting... some oen explain?
Jeez, Sean bought along the right pair of testicles for that event!! Nowt like driving a 550odd horsepower, rear drive - read engine, no ALB car with the 911 turbo's skittish rep at 200mph in the lashing rain with zero visibility. On one of the most challenging race tracks on the planet. I doff my hat to your knackersson - and may they rest in peace in that special place up there with all the other gonad-normous race drivers who lost their lives driving like whippets with bums full of chilli powder. RIP
its like somebody will hit you with a bat right in the face, have no choice but countersteer.. when i watch this driving it also feels like slow motion, through the driver frame by frame, every inch of tarmac.
Great drving, fun to wach.... so sad that he isn´t there anymore.... RIP!
I have to say, it takes some massive balls to drive that fast in The Ring in the rain and with another car spitting all that water on your windshield!!!!
Great driving, best of luck!
6:04 is epic
Looking your Vid after a long Time...never forget you Champ.

Absolutely unbelievable. SO dangerous out there... Huge respect to Sean!!! Almost not human to be pushing like that in those conditions!!
at 11:35 lovely float into the next corner. calm and collected.. not sure if it was intended.. but damn it looked good.

The guy clearly has talent and balls in equal measures!!
Stunning - simply stunning...
Excellent & smart drive and excellent set up of the car - exciting to watch!
Amazing driving, thanks for sharing this video! Driving that fast on a wet nürburgring is something wild. :)
10:34 is like THIS IS WHAT I WAS WAITING FOR 10 MINUTES, AND WILL TAKE ANOTHER 10 TO COME AGAIN!
We miss you... incredible
Wow. That was the most impressive driving i've ever seen. I've always heard that the rain makes the difference btw a good driver and a great one. We've got proof here.

i cant imagine how it is to drive in a car without abs and such a big cloud of rain in front of you *_* just awesome drive dude!
Very nice, thanks for all these onboards! Good luck.

Sean must have some damn good sensors at his back :-) Was a pleassure to watch this on board video!
B to the BALLS of the driver! And also the rain tyres seem pretty f*ing amazing!

I race my 911T occassionally on the Sepang Race Track, and Im not easily impressed. But I am impressed with Sean. truly a great driver.
I'll always think back to this video whenever you're mentioned... Full power, full lock, and grabbing another gear! RIP Sean...
Amazing. Absolutely amazing. We are not worthy!
RIP Sean. True legend.
Fantastic driving. There is nothing like a driver skilled in the rain. We didnt need any of that in Dubai, did we? I was on car 14, GT3R.

Great driving, i hope one day i could be half as good!

RIP. Generational type talent, wish I could have seen him in person
you sir are my new hero. Bravo!
Yes i remember him racing at Monza on a Sunday a few years back in GT2 then that evening i was racing against him on rFactor .
This water is worst then F1 wet days! Great race Sean!!!
Great driving man, that looks like quite the workout...
I agree, that was an amazing maneuver.
Most people would struggle to pull of a drive like that in the dry. Great driver.
Balls of steel mate.
Good bye Sean Edwards 💔❤️
Some great driving sean
Just one word: RESPECT!!!
Would have been about an 8:12 lap around the nordschleife by my measurements... at least how the manufactures measure it. Amazing video. It felt like a 6 minute lap.
Breathtaking
Doc: Whats your problem man ?
Pat:costiveness
No problem take a ride in THIS ;)

Awesome racing! Your eyes must have been out on stalks trying to see through the spray.
Reminds me so much Senna, the cool way he drives in the rain !
He will be missed......
A cloud of water is a cloud of water in 360p, 720p or real life. Visibility is zero. This is skill.
Sean Edwards is a BEAST
Hey Sean! Really cool that you're itself uploading your videos! Other Driver should do that too! (sry for my english but you know what i mean)
Sean Edwards became my new favorite European GT driver at exactly 6:04 :)
That's insane. For a point there it looked like all 4 wheels were hydroplaning.
Rip Sean, great driver and one of my favourites.
Quick question, how do Porsche race teams counters the weight difference as the fuel tank in the front empties? Do they re position the tank to the middle or just hope it doesn't effect the car?
Fantastic drive.
@seenthroughglass have you ever seen this? Still the greatest in car vid ever. R.I.P Sean, never forgotten.
Fantastic work bud !
Yes pure natural talent!
RIP Sean. :-( You were awesome.
Godspeed Sean.
what kind of shifting is this car? it has a clutch and a stick... but the stick only goes to ways... he doesnt clutch when upshifting but he clutches when down shifting... some oen explain?
RIP. Great onboard.
That was unreal!!
R.I.P. Great driver
I can't believe it. I have raced against him in rFactor online racing... RIP Sean!
awesome footage!!!
i could watch this all day long
(i'm doing it)
If I was to drive in the rain in the Nurburgring, I'd probably pee in my pants before the race even started.
Brilliant! And scary!

RIP, Awesome talent.....
Talent.
Well done Sean!
DVC!

same here... he was never above racing/playing games with us normal folk :).
Porsche: For the win.
Teehee, I can't believe I just made that pun.
Holy shit, that was one hard drive.
@seanedwards000 Really!? Do you only see your life in 720p ?

Long live the Nordschleife.
So, was this the craziest race you've ever competed in?
