Kanji Ishimaru made his debut in the musical “Phantom of the Opera” in 1990; since then, he has enjoyed his career as one of the best actors in the musical theater in Japan. His major stage careers include: “Aspects of Love”, “West Side Story”, “Jekyll & Hyde”, “Love Never Dies”, “Parade”, etc. Currently, he expands his activities including theaters, movies, TV dramas, commercials, narrations and reading performances. He has released 4 solo albums, and 2 duo albums; one of which is with Lute player Takashi Tsunoda “Songs of Takemitsu” and the other with Jazz Guitarist Jiro Yoshida “Something’s Coming”. Since 2018, he has hosted the Classical music TV show “Untitled Concert” which was registered as the world longest-running (almost 55 years) Classical Music TV show by the Guinness Book."
