    • @ChromaYadi
      @ChromaYadi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome, glad you found it helpful! Another reason for painting the back is that after you remove the contact paper the coaster back is sticky so the extra coat of paint counter acts that.

    What would you charge for a set of four coasters? I pour glass vases but i want to try the coasters! You're a great teacher!

      Thank you! Online a set of 4 is $52. At in person events I usually drop the price to $46.

    Hi Sarah! Your artwork is fabulous as usual. :) I was going to ask you where you were shopping for tiles as I found those to by 9 cents instead of the 50 cents to $1 per piece on the ones you order on Amazon. Granted, I’m sure the quality of the ones on Amazon are worth it.

    • @ChromaYadi
      @ChromaYadi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I've looked at Menard's since that's where I get the best deals on other supplies I use. Definitely cheaper than the ones I get on Amazon but some of the edges are sharp while others were rounded. And no circle shapes, which I've become very fond of. If you see a good deal somewhere, please let me know. I'm always on the hunt for a bargain!

    These are flawless!
    Unfortunately I haven't figured out the resin thing yet, I get Pitts.
    I noticed uou didn't mention having to clean your coasters before applying resin.
    So now I'm wondering if some resin is just more finicky than others.

    • @ChromaYadi
      @ChromaYadi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much! No I do not usually have to clean my coasters before resin. If I do it may just be a quick wipe down with a baby wipe to remove dust. I don't use silicone at all in my paint though so that could be why I don't get any bad reactions.

    • @kimjefferson3425
      @kimjefferson3425 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ChromaYadi My previous tries Did have silicone and I thought I cleaned them well. But I actually have a set where I did the same technique you did, so I'm gonna try resin again. And. Thank you!

    • @ChromaYadi
      @ChromaYadi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kimjefferson3425 yeah silicone and resin do not play well together so that could have been the culprit. Try again and let me know how it goes! ❤️

    Thank you for sharing this! These are beautiful. My only issue was the stamp I used the ink doesn't seem to dry on the cork backing. It's smudging all over my fingers. Any suggestions?

    • @ChromaYadi
      @ChromaYadi  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're very welcome! How long did you let the ink sit before you touched it or flipped it over? Typically I'll stamp several at a time and let them dry for an hour before moving or touching them.

    • @samanthaparisestes5613
      @samanthaparisestes5613 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ChromaYadi It's still rubbing off and it's been weeks. :)

    • @ChromaYadi
      @ChromaYadi  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@samanthaparisestes5613 There might just be something wrong with the type of ink/stamp you're using and the back you're trying to put it on. A typical stamp on a cork back should dry within 10-30 minutes.

    Can I just tape the backs and trim off excess?

    • @ChromaYadi
      @ChromaYadi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You absolutely can! Sorry I meant to mention that. I feel like for circles that may be a little harder than contact paper but you should absolutely use what you already have. 🤗

    Can ArtResin be applied by spreading with gloves hands?

    • @ChromaYadi
      @ChromaYadi  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes. I typically always apply resin with gloves hands so I can evenly distribute it and feel if there are any spots that are not covered. I still always wash my hands after and use a resin remover from @alumilite to remove any resin that might get on my skin.
