For future reference, 99.9999% of what is done with Mac's "Command" button is doable with Windows' "Control" button, even this. You can just say "command on my mac, control for windows" and be sure that you're hardly ever gonna be incorrect, it's literally the same functionality for everything it does, just a slightly different name because Gates and Jobs liked to fight idk

MacBook's command = Ctrl + Windows; that's what she did on Columns A and E (Time stamp 6:51).

This is so awesome! I was able to follow along and even customize/add onto it for my own preferences. I do have a question though. In this video, you write the items in the list and they populate to the corresponding day in the calendar. If I wanted to do the reverse, write the item in the calendar and have it populate to a list, is that possible?

I like this but I don't totally understand the section on the left. Why wouldn't I just write my events in the calendar directly? Why would I put them in the left sidebar?

Would be nice if you could edit the calendar cells too, or shift dates downwards but that is probably a limitation of google sheets.. This is extremely helpful for my ADHD.TYVM
For anyone with a cromebook, the command button is ctrl. Once you highlight the first column, hold the ctrl button.

Thank you! Very easy to set up! Question - I added another column for my family members so I can track who has which task (activity) on each day. Can I pull from that additional column into the same cell of the calendar? Thinking it would read "Task 1, Child's Name". Or the cell in the calendar would be color coded for the Child whose activity it is. Thanks for your help!

Task 3 11 am… also can those tasks be in descending order within the calendar date?
How to add the same event every week automatically? For example every Monday at 10am I have a team meeting. So what formula should I use so, that it automatically fills all Monday?
How would you do this with a dropdown menu of dates (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) in the date column of the chart, instead of MM/DD/YYYY or Month Date format? I've seen it done before but I can't figure it out. Thanks!

Love this! Just one question though: As I change the date, the weekday also changes and the calendar may start on a Wednesday for example. Any way to make it fixed to always start on Sunday?
Hello! Using this template for our organization and it's amazing 💯 I just wanted to ask, is there a formula we can use so that the formatting (background color, font color, text size) that we apply on our task column is also copied to the calendar portion once we type it in?

This is awesome... I just stumbled on your channel and I think we could probably be friends. I created a rotating housework sheet where every task runs on a different cycle. Can you help me level this up a bit by telling me how to pull tasks in from another sheet into your task section? In my sheet, it's all controlled by =today() - tasks which have a "next" date being less than or equal to today's date throw up a flag. Ideally, it would be cool to grab anything that's flagged and toss it over to this sheet to be assigned a date this week to get it done. Thoughts?

I absolutely love this template. I would like to make a monthly overview of repetitive task but the date input for only week days and making it dynamic ... i have hit a brick wall. All the information is the same on the same day ... please any advice would be much appreciated 🙏🏽

I am working on a calendar template that keeps track of client's vacation time for summer, I was wondering how would I be able to add another category such as the client's name so that it also appears with "task" or in my case an "event" would it be easiest to put client name/task?

this was great. what if you had a separate sheet full of projects, teams and tasks to manage but you wanted to auto populate this task-calendar sheet based on the "pending" tasks for the current month - retrieved from your "projects" sheet. This is assuming your project sheet has data validation to indicate the status of tasks/projects. how would you autopoulate this calendar sheet based on "open" or "urgent" tasks?

Good video...anyway that it can show that an appointment runs for more than one day? Every single vidoe that I've seen shows how to enter an event for one day...but NONE show how to carry and event into multiple days.

bonjour! I have a question for you. I added colors in tasks (listing) according to a drop down menu. How could I have the color to follow in the calendar ? I need to have a color insight in the calendar to have an idea of the programs the entry is referring to. merci! great tuto.
Can you think of a way to MARK or Highlight an event on the Left IF it isn't showing on the calendar, due to not enough spaces?
Would be more helpful if the dynamic calendar is design in rows rather than having a limited space to input data. Reason being if it requires on a single data that needs extra many more info thus the format now being used will be over populated. Like wise it would also be nice if a row the info can be auto fit the specific size row reason being that it would be easier to view in a laptop sized screen. What you have now is interesting but could not really be applied to what I am trying to input now as I would have around 20 task per day with every task having to input large amount of data. Would really appreciate it if you help figure it out as I am not really good in Excel what more to say Google sheets which is very new to me. Thanks in advance if you read this comment and help get around the issue. Would also be nice if the input data is in once sheet and the main data in another sheet whereby anything updated from the input sheet will update the main sheet for easier viewing

This is great! Is there a way to sync this calendar to my google calendar?
can i edit the dynamic calendar using iphone and android? i used an iphone to edit but it doesnt automatically appear in the calendar, only in the task column that i keyed in.
