Thank you for the video. I'm a little surprised that 16 wasn't brought up, but Caulifla befriending 17 and 18 was something that fits very well in this story. Also, even though some people would've wanted a little more detail, I understand why you didn't use a little bit of the video's time to explain Goku's fight with 19. With Goku in mostly good shape, he would've been able to defeat 19. After all, the original story had Piccolo say that if Goku didn't have the heart virus, the latter would've won easily. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to seeing how the fight with Cell goes in this story.
Caulifa charisma really shines here she was able to befriend Android 17 and Android 18. Caulifa has contributed more to the Android Arc than Gohan has. Gohan didn’t do anything important until the Cell Games Arc. I like how Goku is more involved in his parenting duties here!
What exactly was gohan supposed to contribute? Also remember that Masako gets the liberty of going off of the actual story, which at the time of writing, Toriyama had to scramble to write new villains, motives and stories surrounding them. 16, 17, 18 and cell weren't ever supposed to exist, they literally exist because of toriyama's editor.
What's really funny is that I can see Califa actually hanging out and being friends with 17 & 18 in this scenario! Absolutely fantastic story telling as usual.
I can also see, once the directives are removed, them fighting goku anyway. Just for giggles and 'hey the old fart thought we could take you. Loser buys lunch?'
A diplomatic win on the Androids? Never thought it possible. Also. The ending to the Nappa series was amazing. The sounds of a gentile breeze under singing birds was a nice touch.
16, 17 and 18, and Majin Buu, aren't really evil villians. Their antagonists who just want to enjoy life. They're the only ones that could be defeated diplomatically, as long as the heroes are in the right mind set to try talking over fighting. The androids likely have a higher Charisma check to pass then Buu; But anyone that understands they're basically just average teenagers, with highly destructive powers, could probably get them to listen to reason.

Annnnnd Caulifla's "gang" just continues to grow! She's proven even better than her Papa at the whole "turning your foes into friends" thing. Something tells me that there's probably enough "Vegeta" in Cell, however, that her Charisma stat probably won't work there...
Yeah, it feels really weird for Goku to *actually* be more of a Dad... But it's a weird in a good way, it also shows how different Caulifla & Gohan are. Goku never had to use force to help Gohan achieve his true potential & mostly lets him do his own thing... & When Gohan made the mistake to not finish off Cell, he doesn't scold him. He knows that this mistake is partially his fault & in his last moments, tells Gohan how proud he is to see how strong Gohan has become. By comparison, Caulifla is as much of a wildcard as Goku is, but somehow more chaotic... So in a way, Goku is kinda forced to make sure Caulifla doesn't become her own worst enemy. Heck, in a way, Caulifla here is not so different from Goku when he was a kid too, remember how reckless & vengeful he got over Krillin's death in original Dragon Ball? Caulifla in this story is kinda like that, but turned up to 11. Because of that, Goku has no choice but to be an actual parent in this scenario, unlike with Gohan where he's a lot more lenient.
Caulifla was absolutely NOT at fault for Vegetas actions. He's an adult who stole her away and attacked her. She defended herself. She's a nine year old kid.
Oh I hope Califla goes into the time chamber with Vegeta. I want her to go through character development and forgive him, then together they reach full powered super Saiyan. Those two can learn a lot from each other if they learn to work together.
Man, Caulifla is almost as skilled at turning villains good as Masako is! If you told me a couple years down the line she convinced Zamasu to turn over a new leaf I'd only think you were HALF crazy.

I don’t know what to think about Caulifla getting in trouble there. When you turn super Saiyan you are under extreme stress and go into mindless rage. It’s literally Vegeta’s fault that it happened. I understand what the point is narratively, but still. When she showed the desire to keep on after it made sense, but that original outburst.
This whole thing is just so COOL! It is SO hard to contain the sheer amounts of joy and urge to squee in delight as Caulifla just walks through the story and turns it on its head, making friends with so many people along the way! ^^
I wonder if this reality's version of Pan is going to be all calm. Since she's the opposite of her father, maybe this time she'll be the opposite of her mother
Pan being the complete opposite of Caulifa which her being more calm is going to be interesting since Pan is more adventurous, outgoing and loves fighting which is the complete opposite of Gohan who is more focused on scholarly pursuits and books!

Its kinda sad that goku would be a more present father figure to caulifla because of her enjoyntment with fights. You can actually see that gohan would be more happy being a full human rather than half saiyan.He sure took more from chichi's side of the family (for me its no a bad thing since that the reson why i love gohan's character).
You know, with how this story is going, there is a possibility that Cell won't even get the chance to absorb 17 and 18, especially if they join the Z Fighters and they all have each other's backs.
I’m not usually an “um actually” kinda guy but this is my biggest dragon ball pet peeve. Masako, you’ve confused the abridged series with the actually series. The heart virus medicine wasn’t preventative, it was curative. Trunks specifically says that Goku has to take it “once he gets sick.”
Man I would love to see Vegeta really kind of seclude himself off from the others after his defeat and possibly even seek out the Yardratian earlier as a way of closing the gap the way this what-if is going. Or otherwise do something that would separate his training from the norm.

Ah, the age-old art of making new friends through your character flaws :D That's actually a pretty neat tactic for me to keep in mind as I'm writing my own works; that there will be occasional upsides to one's flaws, and occasional downsides to their virtues. That can really help to make a character feel more well-rounded and whole, just as it's doing here for our dear Cauli.

Since free will is bulmas priority unlocking 17s potential would be neat, although he does that naturally anyway. Just marathoned the entire series. Definitely hope it continues, though since I recently came across an image of where goku and naruto swapped outfits for fighting games i can't help but hope to eventually see a what if where goku is trained as a ninja on here.
I won't deny that I wish Trunks was replaced with Cabba (and hopefully Kale with Broly) to make this series more interesting but I still love this series anyways

Android 13 (cargo delivery trucker, aka gokus produce deliverer)
Android 14 and 15 (solved alcholism and gained voice box)

Android 17 had the best pitential out of ev3ry android, even perfect cell, which is why dr gero focused on trying to make super 17 loyal since that was his issue so why not ranger super 17? Since free will is bulmas priority unlocking 17s potential would be neat, although he does that naturally anyway.

Cell only found 17 cause piccolo thhrew hands so a piccolo and 17 at full stamina no damage and hard to trackcby cell would give him quite a challenge

Just marathoned the entire series.
Definitely hope it continues, though since I recently came across an image of where goku and naruto swapped outfits for fighting games i can't help but hope to eventually see a what if where goku is trained as a ninja on here.
I won't deny that I wish Trunks was replaced with Cabba (and hopefully Kale with Broly) to make this series more interesting but I still love this series anyways
