    pretty sick little 9", fully featured. good on you for sharing that ever-elusive, ever-critical documentation as well. those transparency options i'm not really sure on, but very very interesting. what i can say is that comparing it to the CPS2 originals they were ported from, the way they achieved transparency was by alternating a grid of pixels on odd & even frames. obviously screengrabs from emulators & the like don't show this, but you could compare the two on original hardware using a scart switch or similar quite easily.

    Sony may try to be the face of CRTs, especially for new hobbyists but there are so many good CRTs out there and you help remind people of that Rob lol.
    On a side note I love the knob style menu interface!

    I have the bt-s915da which is pretty similar to this. Did you access the service menu while in RGB? I can't seem to access it on component.

    I don't think I've ever owned a telly with rotary control for the OSD menu, always having to look close up for which buttons up/down/enter.
    Much prefer the sound of a rotary one
