I lllove Sarah!!! She is so adorable and such a pleasure to watch! All the recipes she shares are just more special with her :) Love cooking and baking with Sarah, so simple and elegant, she is my favorite cook!
I made this! It is the best crumble I’ve ever made. I only needed to bake it for 30 minutes - it was dark golden brown by then which made it extra delicious. Thanks for the recipe! I’ve added it to my special recipe book. And by the way, it was perfect with vanilla ice cream (the no sugar added one).
Thanks Sarah,I love this also ,just finished putting everything together. That apple cinnamon smell is intoxicating, your my go to girl, always looking forward to new recepies from you♥️🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
So nice to be back in the kitchen we know and love instead of the 360 that wasn't. I would add chopped walnuts to the topping and raisins/craisins soaked in dark rum to the apples.
Couldn't agree more. So many cooking videos out there...so many lame cooking videos. Picked Sarah's at random, loved this and now I know what I am making tonight. Thanks Sarah. I'm a believer. I'm a subscriber!
You tasted it. :) Mmmm, a classic. The clumpier the better on the topping. I've adapted a "healthier" version of this with Stevia and/or agave nectar to taste -- instead of sugar. I serve a little cottage cheese with it instead of ice cream.
Thank you Sarah! I just got a lug of apples and Italian plums. You are one of my favorite food vlogs! I open your messages first! Happy Labor Day holiday!
how do i know when to add flour to my apple mixture? i made this and it was incredibly watery. was it because my crumb topping was too clumped and together?
You can just add flour or some starch (corn, tapioca) when you mix with the cinnamon and sugar. But it could've been your apples. Do you remember what kind you used?
You could add nutmeg which I find much stronger than cinnamon but I don't think this recipe added enough cinnamon so probably 1/4 to 1/2tsp nutmeg would work. But for me the cinnamon/sugar is what makes it so so yummy!
Pumpkin spice actually includes cinnamon. If Klára wants to avoid it completely, she might need to substitute with some nutmeg like a few others have said.
Sweet pea, perhaps you are unaware that Silver has germicidal effects and kills many lower organisms effectively without harm to higher animals. Assuming the cook has clean hands and singularly consumes the food - no harm done.
The whole point of this series is that these are everyday foods. Sarah is encouraging Americans to think, hey, I can cook, I can make delicious food at home, it's not hard. :) I think she's doing a great job of this. :)
Because...ice cream is great! I really love watching Sarah having fun in the kitchen!
Yippie for ice cream!

Remade this recipe 3 times already, it comes out perfect each time, thanks Sarah, love it
I always use three or more varieties for added flavor. Dried cranberries and/or raisins are a festive touch.
Love it straight to the point! Cooks like I do. Will try this 😊
I really like your cooking videos, Sarah. They are good recipes to be sure but more than that they are NO NONSENSE. Keep them coming.
She is really great at presenting. Great recipe by the way. Must try it. Yummy
Best recipe I've tried! Tq
Yum! I always look forward to Sarah's videos, she's a great teacher and is fun to watch.
Hi Sarah! I made this today!!!!! Its so yummy! I used oil instead of butter and it turned out ok! Thanks for making so many yummy videos!
I LOVE that idea of putting compost in the freezer and bringing it to the local farmers market! Oh, and the crumble looks amazing, too!
*crisp

Happy Labor Day holiday!

this "pie" is amazing!
YUM!!!
Looks delicious.
it looks like soooo yum!
Nice recipe, short & to the point ! Tho would use less sugar depending on the apples used.
I made it for the second time (added some walnuts) and mmmm sooo delicious =)! Thank you Sarah ❤ you are awesome! Love how you cook =)
This is mouth watering! I feel so greedy watching the last dish!
great work sarah!!
keep it up !
love from Sri Lanka 💜
I've switched from baking apple crisp in the oven to using the microwave. Takes just 10 minutes and the top crisps beautifully when cool.
this recipe looks awesome. I'm going to try it. wish me luck lol
Well since you brought it up. Would love a apple cobbler video. That's my favorite
I think i have an apple cobbler video. You should do a search. I think i made it last year!
Found it. Gonna try it next weekend.
Thanks
lovely..
Can you use buckwheat flour for this? Makes it a bit healthier.
I love this dish so much.... love anything made out of Apples, yummy! =)
My daughter can't eat oats. What would you suggest I substitute for the oats?
I add about 6 times more cinnamon!!!! and I don't add oats
but yes yummy!
DCARA06 you don’t add oats to a recipe with oats as a central ingredient?! i know this comment is 3 years old but it’s upsetting
Can I use margarine ?
perfect
Yummy!!! I love Apple Crisp!!! :)
You cut apple absolutely same like me! :D
Can I use Stevia instead of sugar for this recipe?
with the apples leftovers u can make apple vinger😬😍
how do i know when to add flour to my apple mixture? i made this and it was incredibly watery. was it because my crumb topping was too clumped and together?

can you use the skin for anything?
I love this girl! Where did she go>
can I do this with peaches? or blueberries?
bit like what us in the UK call an apple crumble 😄
Yes the brits changed the name when it crossed the pond
would this be good with granny-smiths? i kinda like their tanginess
It's awesome with Granny Smiths ;)
YUM
I need to know how many servings this makes?
What temp do you bake it?
This is also good if you add raisins to the Apples. Or if you add some shredded sharp cheddar cheese to the crumble
Yummm 😋
Hi Sarah, how long can I keep this apple crisp in the fridge? My wife and I enjoy watching your cooking and baking shows 👍👍👍
Yum!
Also - I miss Shira!
Lovely! :)
Thanks so much
Delicious :)
Can I leave out the oats? I only have quick oats on hand.
Probably. But you might want to add more flour. Or, honestly, try with the quick oats.
Is there something that I can substitute for cinnamon?
maybe pumpkin spice for Autumn? i'm not really sure maybe it will taste good!!
You could add nutmeg which I find much stronger than cinnamon but I don't think this recipe added enough cinnamon so probably 1/4 to 1/2tsp nutmeg would work. But for me the cinnamon/sugar is what makes it so so yummy!
Maybe nutmeg

Thank you all so much
Tyler Colp I don't like cinnamon when it's overwhelming or on its own I feel like in pumpkin spice it wouldn't matter
What can I substitute for the Oats, they just don't agree with me? Love the apple crisp, looks amazing.
Hi
At what temp?
my question as well....
So a Apple Crumble as known in the 🇬🇧
Yes one of Americas best exports to Britain
can i skip the oats? not a big fan of it.
I would add walnuts ........
😍
there is a piece of butter left on the knife ! 🙃
I read somewhere that apple having a core is a myth.
Never said oven temp....
I wnna drown in this.
her behaviour is similar to the behaviour of my mother.... and my mother gave me mommy issues
First Commentt xD
Oh sweet heart, please TAKE OFF YOUR RING when your cooking , especially mixing dough. It's gross. Not at all sanitary OR food-safe.
Sweet pea, perhaps you are unaware that Silver has germicidal effects and kills many lower organisms effectively without harm to higher animals. Assuming the cook has clean hands and singularly consumes the food - no harm done.
Nothing special. Very disappointing.

Wow you sound like a miserable human being who complains a lot!
Are you in my family Sarah
