    Memory parking: you park your car first and save the parking process afterwards. when coming to the area it asks you to use memory parking and it parks the car by itself.
    Memory exiting parking space (what you did): in the parked car you save the parkingspace and then record the exiting of it.

    It`s normal for VWs auto parking space exiting program to stop right before you can go out of your parking space. They always stop at a position where you just need to drive forward and get out. It`s like this because of upcoming traffic.

    All the systems with ultra sonic searching have the flaw that it have issues with small objects, its just a hardcoded steering angle and path. Dangerous for rims in some situations cause it doesn't really care about the curbs. Just aligns based on the cars around.

    The memory function is a little weird. You're supposed to park and then create the memory "profile". That way it drives to where the car is when you save it.
    At least that how it works on the id 7.

    Maybe it wanted to align the car with the motorcycle and park diagonally.

    Looking at this compared to the ID.7 (and Audi Q6 too) it looks like more or less the same system. Looks like VAG needs to step up the game on this in general. The real value for saved parking spots would be for people with tight or difficult spots they use often - but my experience with my Enyaq is that it's too "nervous" and stops the manoevre quickly in those narrow spots. So it's only really useful in cases where you don't really need it.
    (And you need to save it after you do the manoevre, like others point out)

    My wife's Born does the same thing on pullout. Turns the steering a bit then stops and says "exited the space"

    It feels like the quality of parking systems has hardly changed in the last 10 years - they are mostly just gimmicks and are too slow for road traffic. They usually don't park in narrow garages anyway.

      This is certainly the case for the VAG range, still relying solely on ultrasonic sensors so can't park without other cars around it.

    1:58 Why does it say battery charging? Are you actually plugged in?

    • @MrPala5
      @MrPala5 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is not an indication for charging. It is a page/widged (however you wanna call it) named "battery charging" which shows you the state of charge for your car. If you are actually charging this page will show you additional info like charging power, estimated time, you can stop charging from here etc...

    I'm so surprised these parking systems aren't better !!...for instance why isn't the screen showing parked cars in real time as it drives past them..?..and that motorcycle didn't appear to have been noticed at all.
    Come on Skoda you can do better than this !!.

    In a car with that many cameras any kind of auto-parking seems redundant

    These auto parking systems are jokes. And we are the guinea pigs on the on the path to fully autonomous vehicles.
