Now that the season is almost done I do hope that you will react to the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;Surrection (2019) film it’s after the series and it’s so good you must react to it your gonna love it 🥰🥰🥰
That guy with the Stiffening quirk would be super helpful in a first aid situation. It doesn't work on living material, but if somebody had a broken limb, you could stiffen the sleeve or pant leg and create an impromptu cast/brace, making transporting them much easier/safer.
Bakugo being so hotheaded and doing things his way even though the goal of an exercise or exam is something completely different is... on brand. Only this time, things won't go his way, and deservedly so.
Im a new firefighter, but got hired career 9 months ago. when going through fire academy and EMT school, besides villains, this is kind of how it was. we'd be put in disastrous scenarios and have to learn and adapt to new situations.
I like a slightly different translation of Uravity's decision about her feelings. It says she's setting them to the side, at least for now. Not pushing them down or leaving them behind, but setting them to the side to deal with at another time.
@SardonicVida it's because episode 3x20 sets up the movie, so Kenny wanted to watch that first, but you can't watch it between season 2 and 3 because the episode talks about the events on episode 3x19
We are FINALLY having an episode about rescue training. This is just such an integral aspect of the hero career I’m genuinely surprised that the only real rescue mission we’ve seen up til now was the amber alert used for Bakugo. There’s always been rescue in every mission but not a full dedication to it. This just gives a full overhaul thrive of COMPLETELY different characters and also forcing completely different sides of other characters out. This is just a HUGE benefactor this show wanted. As usual, this puts the kids in the underdog position. Even though there’s a NUMBER of characters just BUILT to be rescue heroes, on screen in school, there’s only been ONE rescue class. In Season 1 no less. XD and it was spent with Aizawa becoming intimate with the ground and All-Might showing kids what a living walking disaster looks like. And Hagakure makes it clear, there has been VERY little rescue training happening outside the classroom. So if the kids are better on the field than in the books, that can be an issue for this. And this brings the different classes of heroes and villains back into the fold and that’s honestly one of my favorite aspects of the show. (Surprised Mineta needed a reminder since he is not a combat powerhouse, but they’ve made it clear he’s a containment and detective type. And yes that DOES matter as these kids grow.) Momo and Iida are the two biggest players here. Not just as de facto leaders and being good in the classroom, but because of their mindsets. Iida did a LOT of rescuing last round mainly diverting from his classmates. (He seems to have evolved his speed into a much higher class now too. Ingenium was a devoted rescue hero and Iida can carry that same load) I’m also going to just go headfirst into a nastier topic too here. Camie being weird also ripped off a nasty bandaid when she was being weird last test. And that’s male victims. I know anyone can get exhausted by Mineta at times but this is where context is important. Sero didn’t have full context and happily told Mineta and Kaminari he was in an enviable situation. And because Camie is attractive to these guys, of COURSE they would assume Deku was a contributor to the situation and was aiming for such a result. Even though it was ALL Camie. Guys like Deku who isn’t gay or anything (sorry fan writers keep doing your thing not trying to start a war) are ESPECIALLY hard to believe in this circumstance. And it’s ROUGH. The girl legit stalked him/assaulted him and just gaslit him. She’s FREAKY but no one BUT Deku and probably Uraraka too can even say as such. And neither can come out in good context. Uraraka would sound jealous, and Deku sounds like he’s making excuses. And that’s REALLY bad because all she has to do is put on a sweet face and no one can say anything. She is GENUINELY disturbing. I didn’t WANT this to be so real, but this is just written off as another Mineta being dirty minded scene and that is NOT what this scene is. Heck Mineta, Kaminari, AND Sero are all clean themselves here because again, on what context they have, it IS the 1st thing that comes to mind. Inasa having some genuine hatred towards the Todoroki’s was such a surprise for someone that so clearly loves just about everything. Clearly it’s beef with the likes of Endeavor. But it also goes to show that Inasa emotionally is PURE opposites with Shoto. We’ll obviously be seeing more of that, but it’s not til these two literally talk to each other that it becomes more apparent. HUC is one of my favorite details of this arc actually. If anyone has ever done 1st aid training you may have come across an equivalent organization. And in my experience they have been this snarky yes. One of them insisted we did CPR compressions to “Another One Bites the Dust” by Queen. And that is just HILARIOUSLY inappropriate for if you have to do the real deal. But the beat is exactly what you need. So in my experience HUC is UNBELIEVABLY accurate and not far off. And it also goes to show how freaking impossible the job of a hero is. It’s INCREDIBLY versatile but being SO MANY aspects of law enforcement, 1st responders, and public celebrities doing a show all at once can have SO many applications. And this just creates an even bigger divide in the classes. And Deku isn’t just any hero, he’s the freaking symbol of peace in training. He has no choice in picking and choosing a class, he has to be ALL 4 CLASSES and top of the line. That is a demand next to no one can fulfill. And arguably, LITERALLY no one. And I wanted this to segue into Uraraka. Uraraka is IMMENSELY cautious about being obsessed with Deku and she calls herself out for letting herself being too focused on him. Uraraka is a rescue class of hero and Deku has been her leader in so many circumstances her crush on him makes EVERY scene we’ve seen be TRULY complicated. And Toga muddied the waters BAD. She wants to support one of her closest friends who has been going through HELL and he has dealt with MULTIPLE awkward circumstances PRETTY out of his control with Hatsume and Camie. But like when she rejected Deku’s help in the sports festival, a lot of this isn’t her problem to bear. Being allies with him in the Calvary battle wasn’t bad at all yet she felt embarrassed. Being worried for her friend getting shoved into multiple machines and getting tested on when she herself knows how busted his body was recently or wanting to clear the air about a girl ACTIVELY hurting him and being freaky around him by wanting to protect him is NOT obsession. But BECAUSE she has a crush on him she doesn’t think it’s her place. She is PERFECTLY in her right to stand up for him and be protective of him. That’s not jealousy. She has been more informed than ANYONE on Deku’s circumstances purely because she’s so close to him. She knows who he is. And I’m calling this out because people are upset she’s not as focused on her family anymore when Deku is in trouble IN FRONT OF HER. This doesn’t change her wanting to support her family, and this doesn’t mean Uraraka’s main trait is crushing on Deku. She has some emotional understanding she needs to really look at. And she makes a choice. The choice to tuck down her feelings. She doesn’t need to act on her crush, but she DOES need to understand what is apart of that crush and what isn’t. Uraraka is a GREAT character. She hasn’t lost her way or importance. And I knew this subject would have to be covered. It’s why her surroundings have to be under such strict analysis and how that can so easily change what all this is about. Inasa is just an UNREAL force again. Gale Force is his hero name. And WITHOUT ANY MOTION AT ALL just shuffles MOUNTAINS OF RUBBLE worth of debris and people into a cyclone and organizing it in midair keeping everyone safe. The only reason it’s even reckless is because to the people he’s moving that has to be TERRIFYING and they can’t tell what he’s doing. Once again, 2 seconds worth of a move and every instant you break it down, just COMPLETELY blows the scope of crazy moves in this show. That’s high tier pro hero level and he’s a 1ST YEAR. AMAZING. Shishikura got scolded for his analysis which is HILARIOUS for those that can’t take apart things like Stain’s ideology in a much more gray scale. Wouldn’t call him driven by hate, but he DID do the same thing as Stain and try to judge what kind of person at their base for only moments of contact and delivering a STRICT punishment on that thought process. And Kaminari of all people last episode got to call out that issue. People are NEVER black and white. It’s hard to maintain such a complex viewpoint especially if you get exhausted by people or purely go off 1st impressions like many do. People don’t reveal who they truly are in 1 step. EVER. And they might be ADDING steps. And there’s no true guideline to what makes a good or bad person based on traits because they can still use fundamentally “bad traits” well and be helpful to society. That is a REALLY deep topic going on there. Bakugo is HORRIBLE at rescue. He can see things fast but his quirk also can’t be used much FOR rescue. NOTHING he has developed across his arc has implied he would be a rescue hero. Combat/detective/and yes containment. (He can deliver ko’s REALLY EASILY) And of course his personality of viewing others as “extras.” We have found what he can’t, doesn’t want to, and won’t do. All in one fell swoop. This test is almost ENTIRELY anti-Bakugo proof. Throw a top 10 hero onto it and make everything MORE complex (this guy although had to be saved by Best Jeanist and was out of commission after one blow survived an AFO blast. THAT can’t be understated as a MASSIVE feat.) And is the 2nd top 10 hero the kids have had to deal with in the show. ONLY All-Might up til now. And both were in critical condition after. (Mineta yet again complaining realistically, give him credit as Aizawa justifies him) This is actually an episode I consider one of the best in the season. The complexities of this one are AMAZING. This episode is another one that can be watched a dozen times and never stop spotting new details. It doesn’t hold to the obvious ones, but I’d argue a top 5 of the season.
@@HaydrogenBombI have wanted to defend Uraraka and Iida as some of the best written characters in the background. Finding all the nuggets of their importance is certainly less easy than the likes of Bakugo and Todoroki. But NEITHER Uraraka OR Iida ever stop developing and their stories are doing a wide variety of complex evolution. Uraraka is my 2nd favorite character in the show behind Deku himself. I was looking forward to these episodes because this is where they lose people’s attention. And also where the Kaminari/Mineta double standard starts appearing. Those were REALLY important topics I couldn’t look away from. This arc I’ve been gaining more and more respect for as of lately. I REALLY underestimated this one and I was already planning on digging into this one PRETTY thoroughly.
@@HaydrogenBomb I’m ok with them both. I don’t hate either and I try my best to show people that while they aren’t the best people and do have some growing up to do doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be given the chance. And just because I have to look for it doesn’t mean they aren’t trying to be better and aren’t succeeding. And they are. They are in VERY similar boats. Kaminari is a good looking guy and escapes the same scrutiny as Mineta. I’m not bolstering or deflating either. They are just as fun to watch grow physically and mentally as the other characters and emotionally it’s DEFINITELY more uncomfortable but it’s still happening and I appreciate what they do. Horikoshi is literally making fun of himself through Mineta at his age. And Horikoshi is perfectly fine as a person. And even if he was a creepy lil snot in high school doesn’t in anyway mean he is doomed to be that for good. And again, bad traits can still be utilized well and be socially acceptable if done and used correctly. The only reason they are considered bad traits at all is because of the history that goes with those traits. It doesn’t mean that everyone WITH those traits end up the same way. I’ve had creepy friends like Mineta and they turned out GREAT. So I guess I just know I have to stick it out while these 2 deal with bad hormones.
I always saw the Hero/Villain dynamics as classic good and evil versions of different situations. All Might vs AFO (Selflessness vs Selfishness) Deku vs Shigaraki (Savior vs Destroyer) And Ochako vs Toga ( Genuine Love vs Psychopathic Obsession) @@HaydrogenBomb
31:10 this made me wonder what would a " bring your kid to work day " be like for heroes? and i just need to say it whatever it was , nana made sure to avoid doing it
I love when Horikoshi uses Quirks for visual gags in this series. 🤣🤣🤣 My favorite example comes in the movie coming up, and I will point it out when it arrives, but Momo stopping Ururaka with a sign labeled "stop" gets me every time. 😅 Edit: I ended up only pointing it out in the live chat, but my favorite Quirky visual gag happens in the Two Heroes movie, when Hagakure has to use a hand sign to play Rock, Paper, Scissors cause she's invisible! 🤣🤣🤣 I dunno why, but I always found that SO funny. 😂
I really like that they not only watch the series and that's it, but they analyze the characters and their motivations. I would love them to react to Hazbin Hotel I would be interested to know what they would think of Rossie and Anthony.
@@MichaelaEvans TRUE all the other reactors i know are doing it so I'm really curious to see how their reaction to it would be like especially since they're the type of reactors who dig in psychological aspects of shows !
Ok so at the 15:00 discussion, yeah being able to just move fast would be good, but if the building is unstable you might just bring it down. I'm also thinking hearing while moving that fast would be difficult but lets not get into physics to much. What if there's a water leak on a porcelain floor, before he knows it he's sliding into a wall at 200km/h. Damaged buildings are the worst part of a rescue like this, it's alot like an earthquake. You can hear the screams from the buildings but you also know at any time it can come down more, someone can be pinned under concrete and what's pinning them is also now the only support keeping the rest of the building up. Proper rescue workers need to be structural engineers, medics, and knowledgeable about poisons, gases, and electrical hazards. And yeah you need to also look either like this is another Tuesday or abit pleased that it's not too bad, even if it's really bad. I kinda like bakugo's approach for this, one dude's complaining about his arm the other her lother arm. I mean could be more tactful, but people could be really hurt and you want a hero to what? Move you cause ur arm hurts?
I actually participated in joint excercise like this before between firefighters and nurses. It was house fire scenario and I was the one who managed to get out from fire exit on second floor but slipped and broke my leg. I was by myself and the leg needed attention but I was not the highest priority but the professionals were not allowed to completelly ignore either. I was reducing a lot of points but gave also valuable feedback how to give first aid in the situation and others explained how priority scaling went after all. :D It was fun and we gave surprise turn of events with house collapsing etc. The goal for this was teaching skills for both groups - nurses need field experience in surprising events and need to know when to not charge in and fire fighters need to know first aid and understand the priority regarding rescue operation. In the end we also created mass scenarios to teach them how to commincate and work together. :D
I'm not sure if you'll be watching OVAs at any point, but two of the extra episodes are focused on rescue exercises and you both might find those interesting! (OVA 1: Save! Rescue Training - set between season 1 and 2, and OVA 4: Make It! Do-or-Die Survival Training - set in season 3 before the licensing exam.)
The Uraraka feeling jelousy scene and she believing that those feelings are getting her distracted are so important for her character, she obviously doesnt have any experience in the romantic life and this is crearly streessing her out, the scene with her deciding to try to get down her feelings is very sad to me, she seems like thinking that she would be ashame of being distracted by those things while Deku is totally concentrated in his goal, ironically, is her admirarion for him what made her decide to give up on him, but that cant be the solution, lets see how she matures about it. Yes, big fan of the couple 😅💕
They’re a great couple. It’s like her thoughts of being his ally in the Calvary battle. She thinks it’s more of a problem than it is. She’s perfectly justified in her feelings towards Deku. It’s not obsession, heck it’s not even jealousy. She’s been protective of her friend that has been through hell and she’s watching him get experimented on by Hatsume and gets upset, and sees Camie freaking out Deku. (Putting what Camie did VERY mildly) Camie even brings up how much Deku trusts Uraraka so he didn’t fall for the imposter. But she’s confusing her genuine care and admiration of him because TOGA said that feeling means she’s obsessed. And now Uraraka is afraid of crossing into that realm even though she’s nowhere near.
Let's just stop for a quick sec and remember how GOOD Uravity's quirk really is. ANYONE or ANYTHING she touches is no longer effected by GRAVITY. In a rescue situation, she is SUPREME, being able to just make impending collapse a non-issue by making it all fall UP is stupidly powerful. By working with other heroes with specialized quirks, she could help in basically any rescue situation, cause she can float people as well. Then in a BATTLE she's SUUUUUPER powerful. If she just TOUCHES you, you're floating helplessly in mid air and either her or another hero can then detain you MUCH easier. The only exception to that is a villain capable of propulsion, which is REALLY rare, of all the villains, maybe Dabi could do it and even amongst heroes only like Endeavor and Bakugo make active use of that. MOST criminals would just be helplessly flailing around in mid air, unable to move in any particular direction. She's incredibly well suited to becoming a hero, really the ONLY weakness is she personally isn't very FAST, so if she just for example were to become a team with, saaaaay someone who could carry her and run really fast to emergencies or crime scenes, that alone would make her a top tier hero in almost every single situation, and useful in ALL situations. Ok, that's it, all done with Ochaco, moving on to unrelated stuff now. Oh hey Deku, look at him go, all runnin real fast and stuff.
13:46 lmfaooo her horny ahh, But naw I’m not gon lie I respected uraraka for this scene, because she doesn’t want to burden anyone else because she’s unfocused, like say for example the girl who transformed to look like her. She wants to be competent and assist best she can, as opposed to many other female protagonist who just fall in love and stay trash, or chase their career and stay trash, uraraka is doing both. W waifu
Hey, Ik you’re not asking and probably won’t see this.. But after you’ve finished watching MHA you should want Hunter x Hunter, it’s something that Jujutsu Kaisen was sort of based on I’m pretty sure. Also it is a very good anime! And funny too. I really recommend it. It’s an older one too.
The fact that people dislike Ururaka's character for what she said this episode (or just this season in general) honestly pisses me off. She's wanting to be a hero for noble reasons (which is crucial now more than ever, with All Might gone), and decides to push down her possibly romantic feelings for her friend that she hasn't had the chance to sort out yet. How did people EXPECT her to react? What's wrong with this situation, exactly?
Agreed. Ururaka's decision is a pretty mature one for her age. Heroism is demanding and requires the heroes' full attention. If even one hero is distracted by something (be it within themselves or around them) that could be the difference between life and death for an innocent bystander. I'm honestly very proud of her for putting her feelings on the back burner so she doesn't distract herself or Deku from saving people. Also, I think it shows her love for Deku a lot by respecting the path he's chosen and focused on, and deciding not to selfishly distract him with her own feelings (that he may not even reciprocate yet). She's putting his feelings and goals before her own, and I think that's very mature of her. ^^

A notable dub line I adore is, "Anyone who needs rescuing is having the worst day of their lives." Something I take into my nursing work.
You say "dub line." Is this not what was said in the sub?

I appreciate your defense of Ururaka here. So many people just dismiss her character as "the love interest" this season that it's honestly annoying.
@@Kaempfdog I hear ya. What do you mean about Mineta and Kaminari, though?
All Might vs AFO (Selflessness vs Selfishness)
Deku vs Shigaraki (Savior vs Destroyer)
And Ochako vs Toga ( Genuine Love vs Psychopathic Obsession)

31:10 this made me wonder
what would a " bring your kid to work day " be like for heroes?
and i just need to say it
whatever it was , nana made sure to avoid doing it
I'm at the point now where every time I hear a youtuber say "the description below" my brain completes it with "have a good day Twinkle Toes"
I love when Horikoshi uses Quirks for visual gags in this series. 🤣🤣🤣
My favorite example comes in the movie coming up, and I will point it out when it arrives, but Momo stopping Ururaka with a sign labeled "stop" gets me every time. 😅
Edit: I ended up only pointing it out in the live chat, but my favorite Quirky visual gag happens in the Two Heroes movie, when Hagakure has to use a hand sign to play Rock, Paper, Scissors cause she's invisible! 🤣🤣🤣
I dunno why, but I always found that SO funny. 😂
Yeah, that is so hilarious!
Oh gosh and it looks like it'd hurt too XD
I really like that they not only watch the series and that's it, but they analyze the characters and their motivations.
I would love them to react to Hazbin Hotel I would be interested to know what they would think of Rossie and Anthony.
Sooooo true, but I think their reaction to ep 4 would end up being like 40 minutes long.
They would have a lot to talk about. Lol
@@Dai-G.OFr
Yes please! everybody is reacting to Hazbin Hotel so they might as well jump on the bandwagon! Such a great show!😁😄
@@MichaelaEvans Yes!! I think they would really enjoy it
@@MichaelaEvans TRUE
all the other reactors i know are doing it so I'm really curious to see how their reaction to it would be like
especially since they're the type of reactors who dig in psychological aspects of shows !
His tone was terrible and he wasn't descriptive. So I disagree that his approach is good.
Letts React. Just to note, a new fourth MHA movie is coming around August called 'Your Next'.
Character: is mad
Minor Character: why
Character: When I was a kid.
I mean, historically that has usually been the issue both in real life and anime, how you grow up greatly affects your personality
I know I’m just pointing out how we get even more backstory instead of the rest of the story.😂😂
@@NATHANIELDEPAZ ah, fair, flashbacks can become excessive
Shut Up! Save yourselves you whiners. 😂.
Bakugo really has balls of steels.
We may not see him a ton but every time I see him I just think "man Gang Orca looks, sounds, and is bad ass" lol
Sero ratted Deku out 😆
It would be really funny if the building was just full of death row members they have to save
@@Kaempfdog this is such a great analysis of Ochako's thoughts and feelings during that moment...NEVER TRUST ANYONE WHO HATES IT
Let's just stop for a quick sec and remember how GOOD Uravity's quirk really is.
I have to recommend you guys watch The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K.
every time she talks about endeaavour i count the episodes to 4x25
Stop it.
Y’all should react to Assassination Classroom; it’s really great.
13:46 lmfaooo her horny ahh,
But naw I’m not gon lie I respected uraraka for this scene, because she doesn’t want to burden anyone else because she’s unfocused, like say for example the girl who transformed to look like her. She wants to be competent and assist best she can, as opposed to many other female protagonist who just fall in love and stay trash, or chase their career and stay trash, uraraka is doing both. W waifu
I think you both would really enjoy mob psycho 100
I don’t care, the bakugo squad is “the bros”/“the boys” incarnate 😂😂😂😂😂
Interesting that K&M changed the ep title hehehe, first one was really good
Hey, Ik you’re not asking and probably won’t see this.. But after you’ve finished watching MHA you should want Hunter x Hunter, it’s something that Jujutsu Kaisen was sort of based on I’m pretty sure. Also it is a very good anime! And funny too. I really recommend it. It’s an older one too.
I liked my own comment

Can't wait to watch your reaction at episode 23! One of my favorite episode
I agree!
Facts, she's only 15 at this point and hasn't really felt like this for anyone before
@@kirakotobuki9195 those two have that in common a lot...always putting others before themselves. It's adorable but also expected for heroes
