It’s hard to say since Endeavor’s character starts off super strong but then his writing kind of becomes terrible not long after.
I still think that fight is amazing though. It’s not particularly well-written in hindsight, but it’s still super good ngl

@@crocoboi7936 No spoilers, but I stopped liking him when growing as a person was treated as more of an afterthought. It more so just became him being a good pro hero while feeling bad without much actual growth on his part.

The Todoroki family plot is crazy
fr but most knew that dabi was a todoroki from the start like me... his hate for endeavor and for shoto callng him his little "Masterpiece" and both fire related... it was just like Avatar the last airbender the sister(Azula) in this case Dabi(Touya) has blue fire fighting for the dad's love one wants to rebel and one wants the love

this episode, of all things in anime, sticks in my head the most. I know i'm not alone in saying i imagine vivid fights while listening to music, and the characters within them are molded by pretty much every bit of anime and game and movie i've seen-- but the number one influence in how i visualize has to be two moments showing Todoroki. it's the part where he's courched down, letting loose ice from his leg and fire from his arm, and the part where he slowly stretches his arm forward with a jetstream of flame trailing behind him like an aerodynamics test. I don't know if there's a more specific reason, but it just masters the visual artform to express so viscerally the idea of "power" and "strength". like an unstoppable force, be it the inexorable creeping of an iceberg (because, yes, they do move if they're on land), or an immutable tide of flame and ash

MHA🫶 will forever have a place in my heart. One of my first animes and so many good and relatable characters even being a shounen. And no matter how many times I rewatch this fight. It always brings tears to my eyes, also because I can somewhat relate to Shoto.
Honestly this is the best episode of the entire series so far. I always rewatch this eps back on 2020

Even after watching it multiple times this anime still critical hits me right in the feels.
The reason this show has such an insane fandom is because it's so well done. Some seasons aren't as good as others, but by the latest season they stick the landing all over again (in my opinion).

The SHOTO! scream from Endeavor is one of my favorite things in the show. It's so over the top and his voice actor is one of the reasons I suggest the sub vs the dub for this anime cause he really does give 110% or to be more on brand for the show he goes Plus Ultra!

Nicholas has golden commentary, hands down. This episode was a long time waiting but it was so worth it, pre-watched or not, I can't care less when he gives us these amazing and hilarious reactions. He jokes a lot but he actually pays the most attention to details, be it lore-wise, animation, or music. That's something to appreciate. Him being in awe about minor details like the Todoroki tear or how Bakugo charges up his attacks, shows that he genuinely enjoys the show. Thank you for giving this series a chance, your MHA uploads always make my day!!

The Shoto fight is definitely one of the ones I look forward to seeing a reaction to most when someone new starts the series. The music placement, the fight itself, and the show having the absolute balls to go "Yeah, our main character is going to lose this one for a better purpose in an earlier round than the finals" is just incredible.

@@unnamed6864 I think a lot of fans forget that many of the characters are still high school freshmen/sophomores who are still growing and learning...nothing wrong with character growth and world building, many successful series do that and deliver later. It rewards the keen observer the more you rewatch. I still find new info and ideas the more I rewatch this series and reread the books.

Bakugou respected the hell out of Uraraka in their fight. One detail no one seems to catch is how everyone is talking about how much of a slaughter the fight will be but we see Bakugou taking it very serious and going to his prep room to get ready. He took it just as serious as any fight he had and held nothing back against her. I really love those small details of who he is underneath all that rage

When Bakugo actually says her name. Calls deku deku as insult, everyone else gets nickname based on appearance or power (icey hot) or just gets called extras. But he says Ururaka with his full chest
Episode 10 was one of my favorite one. The animation, the emotion the whole episode was epic!

because the first 2 seasons were amazing and even the third but after its actually horrendus the amount of filler u get and theirs no good fights after until sesason 7 last episdoe the war arc
I don't know about others, but one of the reasons why Todoroki's situation and upbringing was so emotional to ME, was because it is a real-world issue.

A common misconception is that todoroki got his scar from his mother splashing boiling water on his face and burning it because she had been abused by Endeavor and was triggered by seeing Todoroki’s blue eye. However, in reality it was due to Rei’s instinct to try to heal her son with her ice quirk that Shoto got his scar, as it ended up giving him a severe frost burn

Because no one is gonna talk about it I wanna put some respect on Uraraka's name, her fight with Bakugou changed a lot of people's opinions on shounen female characters back when season 2 came out and it made her one of the best characters of the show

The endeavor stuff gets REALLY paid off in s6 and deku being the definition of a true hero also gets paid off a lot with the shigaraki stuff. Deku is that one mofo who you know will always be there to save people, even if they are evil

You know when you say run plays the fight is going to be emotional. Horikoshi said in an interview that he thinks of you say run when he makes fights, I think that's why they're so amazing. Did you notice Bakugou called Kirishima by his name and Uraraka as a show of respect? Despite how he looks, Bakugou is a man of honor.
15:53 People say that act 1 Deku had 0 aura, but then I just point them over to this scene right here. That shit gives me fucking GOOSEBUMPS, EVERYTIME! Deku is usually so wholesome and non-intimidating, which is why when he gets all scary and menacing like that it's fucking terrifying. 🔥🔥
Bakugo called her by her Name
What Bakugo said about his explosions is the base of quirks. Most special attacks are creative ways of using the quirks, but quirks are physical abilities, there's a limit of how much they can do. When Bakugo blew away the debree Uraraka let fall on him he said that was close and his arm looked numb, meaning he has a limit of how much power he can give to his explosions before he starts to feel recoil. Also, that's why Endeavor had as varios kids until he got Todoroki, his whole quirk was meant to cancel out each weaknesses of the other side. Overheating because of using too much fire, use ice to cool off, too cold from using too much ice, use fire to heat up faster.

You probably missed it but Bakugo does not remember people's names unless he acknowledges their strength. At the beginning of the fight, he didn't bother remembering anything about her other than she screws with gravity. After the meteor attack, he was screaming Ururaka.
