Lisa's vocals in the Happiest Girl. Definitely slept on. Jisoos falsetto, beautiful though I do personally prefer the lower register of her voice like in Yuki No Hana. Jennie and Rosè deliver as always. Enjoyed hearing the vulnerability in Jennies voice. Now that its been out for a week this is my most to least played for me... It's beautiful but I don't usually listen to that kind song unless I'm in the mood for it. Tally, I appreciate and get the message, but it's just not my thing.
Rose and Jennie's final choruses were chef's kiss. I understand the hype for Jisoo's and Lisa's new sound but we can't be sleeping on that build up in the end. That was greeeaaaat!!!
This album is so good. I along with a lot of people were very disappointed to hear there was only going to be eight songs. But just like in true Blackpink form, they are all good and most albums that have 12 to 15 songs maybe have two or three good songs on it so we are getting nothing but quality from Blackpink. there's really no B sides with them. But I would say the biggest shock to me is Jisoo. To be totally honest, I know she doesn't have any solo songs out and until now, I didn't really care! But now I'm looking forward to her solo career, if she decides to have one, which from what I hear, it sounds like she's kind of scared to go in that direction. I think after this album and the praise she will be getting for her vocals, she will be confident enough to make it happen.
Yah, people complaining about 'only' 8 songs... But all of them are headline type songs or hit singles if they were released separately. Quality on point. Jisoo somehow got better, I did not think it was possible, but she leveled up and showed she can solo no problem.
Rating these songs is like trying to pick which BP member is your bias. Some can, but I cannot. Tough decision. They each bring something different to the group and they all shine in their own way. That said, I tend to lean toward Jisoo slightly and her vocals in "The Happiest Girl" brought tears to my eyes. I guess that makes "The Happiest Girl" my fave. My Honest Opinion Is The Album Is Good I Wanted to hear jisoo solo song on the album rosè had her time as soloist the album wasn’t has as good as THE ALBUM (2020)
My honest opinion: Jisoo is still not ready for a solo yet, I mean skill wise. Her vocal range is very limited as well, barely reaches E5 I reckon? These all would lead to only two outcomes if her solo happened right now: either she would sing conformably with very plain and boring songs, or she would be struggling with good songs but requiring more vocal range & skills. I think both Yge and herself know this better than her fans, this is why they don't rush for her solo. She will definitely have one or several when she is 100% confident and ready.

I hate the fact of the swearing now in the songs.. I thought they had more class than that. Never heard of led Zeppelin Pink Floyd all the Beatles Neil Young Motown. Not necessary. I'm sure parents are proud of the new language. I have the feeling if Rose send those words in her household it would not have gone over well, or any of them for that matter.
This song deserved to be listened to straight thru and then commented on at the end. By stopping and starting the song so much it destroyed the flow and feeling of the song and the emotion was lost by trying to explain it every time it was stopped. Just my opinion and in no way am I being a hater. I just wish she would have let herself feel the song in its entirety and then talked about certain aspects. Still a wonderful reaction to the album. Thank you.
