- Short video on how to install a 143cc big bore on the new kawasaki z125 pro
its not super detailed, just quick video showing what tools are needed and one way to install it
Note in the video I left a paper towel in the engine when putting the bore and piston back on
This was run for a few days until someone pointed that out. I took apart the right side of the engine case and there is a hidden screen filter inside, all the paper towel debris was caught. Photos here

Thanks for the vid. Good info. That music got really annoying. I think people would rather here your voice or even just the sound of the tools working.
Zachary Vick haha I bout fell asleep watching the video
Awesome video not many z125 bore install videos you are doing the Lord's work.
z125 pro compression reading should be between 43-74PSI with warm engine. Per owners repair manual. So does this mean the Z has an auto decompression open at start up accounting for the lower reading than the grom? I keep seeing grom and other similar 125cc engines compression numbers at 130-160. Just FYI our bike is a 2024 with 150 miles. Runs perfectly and we did get 55 psi COLD and 58 psi WARM and a leak down test also held 110psi at less than 3% for 30 minutes. Hope this helps other Z125 owners as I could not find anyone else online sharing any info on Z125 compression numbers/results even with all these people installing big bore kits. I don't understand who would not have and share this info on BBK install videos. LOL
Great video that music put me right to sleep 💤💤💤😂 twice 😂😂💯
BRO MY HEAD IS ABOUT YO EXPLOTE WHAT IS THE FUCKING SIZE TO TAKE THAT LONG BOLT OUT ON THE CAM IVE TRIED 10 diff sockets they all either don’t fit or too small pls I’m about to throw all this to the trash help
Did you throw it to the trash?
What is the green plug you are removing at 9:23 and who makes it
34:07 did you pull it back apart after, you closed the paper towel in!
found a secret screen filter inside clutch cover all paper towel was jammed inside it. its also where the oil drain sits, why I saw a tiny piece on it. good news is the way that screen filter works is oil from the crank pushes out into the clutch area, so it caught all the paper. I also changed the paper filter saw no debris, and filter screened the old oil and saw nothing in it. Checked the small oil line from the engine to the head also was clear. So most likely the internal screen filter caught everything. Will cycle new oil through and check screen filter in a few days
GOOD CATCH!!!!
music put me to sleep. I missed it twice so far
How far are you from CT, NYC or Mass lol. I want to do the mod but can’t get a solid answer or what parts to purchase. Can you send me a few links
Did your fuel map have 0 for the timing? And you say you taped all the openings when you painted and then baked it ?
Hi great video! I would like to know if I go for a bigger bore kit would you recommend it? Thanks in advance
Good quality and very helpful, but the music is horrible lol. thnx anyways
nice. very helpful video.
may I ask, have you tried the 178cc big bore kit? Thanks.
why would you loosen a fastener from the head side of the bolt instead of the nut
are you using the stock head too?
这音乐让人很不舒服,跟噪音一样。
Are you racing this bike ? If not ..whats the point ??
Colm mc inerney More useable power obviously. Makes sense as a street bike
Did you have to port and polished head?
Creepy a** music choice. But good vid
have any dealerships in Bangladesh
Did you paint the bbk?
EPIC
Thanks for your time and information. Can you tell us how much faster the bike is now?
no faster top speed. the camshaft, exhaust and intake gave more gains in top speed then the big bore. I think I can get the bike to 68mph and hit the rev limiter. This is much better then stock. but the big bore did not help in that. It may be more powerful up hills with the big bore but I haven't rode a stock one in a long time so who really knows
thanks for your time.
Hi is a big bore bad for the engine longevity?
Jayden Valentine if you are meticulous about maintenance, you're bike should be fine. Only the service time for your motor are more frequent than stock motor.
good news, rode the bike for couple more days, took out the screen filter and was 3 tiny pieces still left inside. im sure now its totally cleared out of any paper towel debris
In the video description I added links to the screen filter and how much it caught
6hrs?? i can do it in 1.5..pretty easy. are you a tech?
