I fixed my 2015 had the same issue , tightening the chain is not the issue , the swingarm is hollow , so the sounds amplifies & sounds like a huge issue , easy fix …under the swingarm you have black chain guide which is fixed to the swingarm , with two or three Allen screws …loosen the chain guide until its almost off , cut a bicycle inner tube and slide in between the swingerm & chain guide , tighten up the screws, no need for silicon or tape , the chain guide will compress the tube & bingo no more noise !!
A simple way you can eliminate the noise from the chain, slapping against the swing arm, is to get, say any bicycle, or any old rubber inner tube, and cut a patch, to fit between the point of contact, between the chain and swing arm, and glue it on with some, contact adhesive, this will eliminate, that annoying sound.
I actually got another solution off someone on tightening the chain tension at specific number going to try first and then the rubber tube. thanks for the info.
I have the same model diavel brother, I have had two. I sold my first one when I bought my Panigale, but missed the diavel so much I bought another a few months back🤗 Good luck with your content, subbed.
Good comments. I have a 2013 here in Vancouver .. ... I find if I stay on top of my chain adjustment I dont get the chain slap ... but as I ride hard that dont last long :) . what province are you in ?
Ontario, brother. i need to make an updated video i got the chain to stop slapping with the adjustments but loads of people told me the chain is too tight . left it at 9mm.

Why is that ?
@@Mysonb4me alot of the problems he posed are fixed in the newer modern bike.
Is that the first generation you're talking about?
Mine is 2nd Gen, but my buddy has Gen1 and he has identical issues.
@@bikerxali For Gen1 you could probably add No Fuel Gauge.
