    Great review mate, my father in laws just purchased a Rocket 3R and I'm looking to purchase a 2016 Diavel and you've just got me over the line, will be testing them against each other with a run from Manchester UK to Monte Carlo, Monnaco!

    Quality video! I was so surprised by far the best sound quality on you tube I've seen to date....sounds so close to the real thing.

    Excellent review Belter. Love the ending with guessing who was on it. I do that all the time to impress the missus, but really no one gets as excited as I do when I get it right :)

    I had a Diavel Carbon for 2 years and changed it early last year for a KTM 1290 Superduke GT…I have just bought another Diavel Carbon. I think they have as much power as anyone will ever need for road riding, they are very comfortable, it handles great and personally I think the styling is superior to the KTM. I would recommend them👍

    Best review I've listed to on the Diavel. I'm thinking about going for one, I've been on my Triumph Daytona 657R since 2013 but its murder on the lower back now so looking for something different, the Diavel might be the bad boy for me.

    I don't have this problem with fuel consumption or problems when gas runs low. Perhaps you should have it checked. The gearbox lightens up eventually and becomes really slick and smooth. I've done about 6000 miles on my carbon and would agree with almost everything else you said. One other gripe however is tyre wear. Reckon with about 5,500 to 6000 miles per set of tyres if you use the performance. That comes as a bit of shock! I also had to have the ignition switch renewed. It broke. So memorise your pin code for manual starts.

      I've understood from talking to owners that it's mostly during running in. It's not my bike I had it on loan for a few weeks from Ducati. Hopefully I'll get to try another one soon. Great bike.

    Cool review. I agree the fuel mpg is terrible. I think I get just over a 100 miles to a tank of fuel. But bar that the bike is fantastic. It is fast, comfortable, corners well and with new can on it sounds amazing.

    Nice review, I have the 2015 carbon red , only done 2k on her. Biggest issue for me is the suspension.....not good at all. I have to find a guru to set it up for me as not willing to drop 3k on Ohlins. Other than that, all good. Do yourself a favour and get rid of the exhaust,sounds way better with aftermarket, take it easy :) oh your neighbors might give you some stick though :)

    Great review, the only other negative is with all Ducati the engine sounds like there is something loose while running

    @belter do you problems with finding neutral or getting false neutrals? I have owned a few bikes but non have been more difficult with gearing than my '15 Diavel!

    • @BelterBikes
      @BelterBikes  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +James Patrick Quiambao yes I found it difficult until the engine was over 86 degrees. After running in it got way better I noticed.

    It sounds your bike is faulty. I can't confirm your fuel issues. I have the same bike and have none of those. 10L give around 150-170km range in sporty or in-town driving... on longer drivers 10L equals easily up to 200km. You have a 17L tank... even when computer tells you it's empty when still 5+L are in the tank. you should looks more into this.
    I have the Termignioni equipped. It makes a difference in the engine power characteristics. But should not make that difference in fuel consumption.

    would you recommend this bike for a new rider that never rode? if you can start at urban mode then move up when you feel confident about your riding then switch it to sport.

    • @BelterBikes
      @BelterBikes  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's a big bike. It's quite heavy to push around. Go and try one and see if you like it. Bike will only go as fast as your right hand wants it to.

    • @TheWalterKirk

      I’ve bought a ‘20 Diavel as my first bike. Walk quietly with a big stick and start off in Urban mode and it will be fine. Low seat, large back tyre and stability with traction and ABS mean this is very confidence inspiring. Just watch it after 500m or so as it’s tempting to get overconfident.

    ducati diavel carbon 2012 brand new vs kawasaki zx14r 2016 brand new? which one to buy for almost the same price here

    • @BelterBikes
      @BelterBikes  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Completely different bikes man but go with what your heart tells you to buy. Don't use your head you'll end up regretting it 6 months from now. Diavel will do nearly everything you can on a ZX14R.
