      MJOLNIR-ARMOUR/EGYPTIAN-POWER ARMOUR/POWER-ARMOUR-COOLANT-SYSTEM/VENTILATION-SYSTEM
      A Egyptian power armour will need small, twin ventilation and coolant system. These will be outfitted near the shoulder [blades] of the wearer/user. They will resemble large, bulky protrusions (like twin backpacks) that system from the shoulder area, as though they were wings. This complex ventilation system is what makes the power armour comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. Like the life support system, the ventilation and coolant system will need to be monitored and regulated by an in-built Ai system.
      Update (08/03/2022): I wonder if slime-mold [technology] can be utilized to optimise the efficiency of the ventilation system, i.e. to integrate a thin suit-made of living slime mold (if successful, this would also help to minimise weight of the power armour, thus aiding and ensure that energy is spent elsewhere). The slime-mold suit will need to make contact with the wearer/user; where it can conduct heat and other biological waste (such as sweat, and potentially dead blood cells from a bleeding wound) away from the user, and expel it near the air-ducts or any other preferred location.
      NOTE: Egyptian power-armour will combine the functionality of a thin space suit (like that seen in "space X's space suit"), a basic medical, life support system and monitors, and finally a knights suit of armour. The suit will electronic, and obviously computerized (assisted by a combination of AI systems). When it action, it will be somewhat fluent, and capable of making fluid action and movement, despite being a robotic suit (LLMs that are dedicated to mimicking natural body moment in fluid motion will comprise the majority of the suit's AI output). Lastly, the suit will need to be water resistant (water resistant spray, that is difficult to chip and wear out after extended usage will be preferred), and its ventilation system will be integrated with a small filtration system. This will make the suit resistant to poison or environments with airborne, hazardous substance.
      NOTE: A tough plastic material should be utilised on the exterior of the [Egyptian] power-armour. While being weather resistant and durable, its primary pose will be to give the power armour form (so that it looks futuristic and formidable-further adding to its ability to function as a deterrence), as well as double as additional shock-absorption/shock-dampener. The material will then need to be painted with metallic paint, so as it give it a metallic aesthetic in its composition (deceit/material mimicry).

    I would imagine the M-II had much greater strength amplification than the M-IV onwards, and that's why it required tethering to a large power source, Dr Halsey probably realised, after a bit of testing M-II, that her Spartans didn't actually need to be able to fling tanks into low orbit to be combat effective, so she scaled back the power amplification to a more reasonable level, which consequently made a sufficiently compact power source easier to make.

      @samuelpettington2241 4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      @@rstriker21 Yeah, I get what you're feeling. But I thought about it and it doesn't seem that weird to me now. When 75+% of the time you spend together is in constant life threatening scenarios, it tends to forge a certain type of bond. Especially when both of them rely on each other for survival. The relationship is far from romantic, but like something a little bit more developed than a bond you would have achieved with a battle buddy you went through basic military training and then fought a few fights with. It's also more personal (Cortana literally being in Chiefs head).
      Anyways, 3 months may seem short. But to Chief and Cortana it probably feels much longer than that.

      I think redundance in their line of work is justifiable. I think a little bit of "cyborgization" of Spartans could also help. For example, replacing the eyes with synthetic ones that would allow the Spartan to see a little bit further, clearer, and at night would also be justifiable if the helmet is compromised. In that case, removing the helmet might be okay as long as the environment has breathable air. Just my thoughts.

      I think it has more to do with specialization and how spartans fight. As i feel like it would be better for the UNSC to make plasma based weapons to deal with the shielding of the covenant vs making spartans hand held shields when said shields are also weak to the covenants plasma weapons.

      I think I00 has a video explaining this in detail. I would imagine Spartans do not need to defecate because they do not have solid food rations. It is in liquid form and gets injected to the body making the entire process simpler and more efficient. Their pees then pass through catheters that are then filtered multiple times to be used again. Unpleasant process and completely devoids the Spartan of any enjoyment (from eating), but yeah, that's how I understood it.

    The following games had the specific power armor in which every armor platform I absolutely enjoyed:
    *Mark IV* (Halo Wars: Definitive Edition and Halo Wars 2)
    •Depending on the Mark IV platform, it had built-in thrusters.
    •It had no protective shielding, making the armor vulnerable to mostly any attack.
    *Mark V[B]* (Halo: Reach)
    •Used by Spartan III operators, it was a prototype for the final model of the Mark V.
    •First armor to feature shielding systems, but still required a Biofoam Canister or Medkit incase the shielding ever reached it's limit on the battlefield.
    •Used UNSC developed Armor Abilities to protect and ensure the armor stabilized on the battlefield for decent periods of time.
    *Mark V* (Halo: CE Anniversary)
    •Allows the armor to house a Smart AI which would smart-link with the wearer's Neural Lace and enhance the armor's usage.
    *Mark VI Gen 1* (Halo 2: Anniversary to Halo 4)
    •Featured Biofoam Injectors when the suit's shields were down and the wearer took damage from incoming fire.
    •Had limited thruster fuel making the armor able to slow it's landing from a high velocity point before touching the ground.
    *Mark VI Gen 2* (Halo 5: Guardians)
    •Featured enhanced thrusters, making the wearer able to perform more actions and increase their speed a lot quicker.
    •Featured Mag Boots, allowing the wearer to grapple to anything that had a magnetic surface.
    •Featured Spartan Charge and Ground Pound capabilities, increasing damage to enemies while using these techniques.
    Mark VI Gen 3 in my opinion will be a great armor for Chief in *Halo: Infinite.* Cant wait to see what it can do. :)

    I have a question. Mk V and onwards featured energy shields that used excited clouds of plasma to work. Where and how would you say this matter was obtained, and is it likely that due to repeatedly losing shields a spartan could run out of material to excite and therefore los the ability to have shields. Is this stuff stored within the spartan armor? If so, where? How fast would you say it runs out?

    • @Thaumiel-115
      @Thaumiel-115 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      The shield indeed is made out of plasma which is superheated gas, to answer the question, if you look at a mjolnir armor set if you look closely you'll see bright dots or spots, those are like electromagnets they create a magnetic field around the suit sealing it and creating the geometrical medium for the plasma to flow on, once the field generates the plasma for the shields comes directly from the micro fusion reactor. When the suit takes damage the magnetic field around the shield becomes distorted or deformed, after enough damage the field can't be contained and it "pops". After a few seconds the process starts all over again . You can also see how it works if you watch the detailed description of previous generations of mjolnir.

    • @Thaumiel-115
      @Thaumiel-115 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Also to follow up how long the shielding system could last with the collapse and regeneration of the field, it is close to indefinite since the micro fusion reactor last about 10 to 15 years before maintenance and refueling, and in the longevity of the reactor it also includes the shield system which uses a good amount of plasma. As long as the fusion reactor has fuel it could last a long time........unless the reactor fails and the suit uses the auxiliary power unit then the shielding system is useless

    I noticed some similarities between the pinch reactor model in your video (34:40) and recent suggestions made by a company known as HB11 to create a fusion reactor that, instead of using electromagnetic fields and extreme temperatures to maintain a stable plasma, used high powered lasers to launch hydrogen atoms at a boron "pill" (or something like that), with the goal to physically smash the accelerated hydrogen into the boron, forcing fusion to happen without the need for high temperatures, plasma, electromagnetic fields etc. It's emitted signatures (heat radiation, electromagnetic, others) would possibly be reduced by a lot.
    Positively charged helium ions released by the collison would be the energy harvested by a system that can be directly hooked up to a power grid. I think this would be the go to fusion energy generator type for Mjolnir armor, if any of this becomes real in our universe. The applications in our real world would also be huge, and in a system so simple it's almost too good to be true. It's also cheaper to make and can be scaled much more easily than other designs. No need to convert thermal energy (or whatever is harvested from a plasma fusion reaction). Just plug and go :D
    Man, your videos get me all hyped up about Halo, science and so many other interesting things! Never would have investigated fusion energy if not for Halo. Cool shit.

    • @samuelpettington2241
      @samuelpettington2241 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cancelanime1507 That's a neat way to enable a fusion reaction, but it sounds like a tremendously inefficient method. Plus, we haven't perfected fusion energy yet, much less invented artificial gravity. Scaling such a system down to backpack size for a real life Mjolnir suit is currently impossible. But in a sci-fi universe it seems to work really well :)

    IVE HAD A QUESTION FOR SO LONG AND YOU JUST BARELY TOUCHED ON IT. AT 18:30 you talk about the shield strength and thickness of the mjonir shields on the bottom of the boots. Would this hair-thin shield be capable of vaporizing flood biomass? In the Halo 3 level cortana, the Master Chief visibly has flood biomass on the soles of his boots, and he only manages to shake off a small amount. This implies the flood goop is directly contacting the mjonir plates and partially curling off of them in a fluid motion. Are the shields 'good enough' to actually disinfect a spartan's suit from flood biomass?
    also, side note; how the hell did the arbiter manage to go through 'Cortana' without breathing in even a single flood spore? His armor is hardly modern

    • @samuelmorse7490
      @samuelmorse7490 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a couple mentions to the shield strength and the ability for spartan II’s to modulate the distance the shield is from portions of the armor such as the hands and boots. I believe that if chief were to push the shield from the soles it would keep the flood biomass from coming in contact but it would make it difficult to move in a surface unless in vacuum. The material on the shields is better touched in halo fall of reach.
      In the case of arbiter his armor is ancient but while its cloaking ability is no where close to the covenant-human war sangheili combat harnesses the shields are more or less the same so it does give some protection. The level of infection on the ark wasn’t advanced enough in the ground for enough biomass to begin giving off spores so there isn’t much of a worry there. But I agree that I don’t understand how he was never infected, sangheili body suits aren’t as strong as the Spartans body glove. He should have been infected through touch, cuts and gashes into his flesh from flood combat forms that can introduce flood super cells into the blood stream. I hope this helps.
