    I hope you enjoy this video. Let me know what you think about the way the video is made. Do you prefer more time-lapse and less talking? Or more talking and less time-lapse? Do you enjoy the mix of some background music and tool chatter, wrenching and overall work “noise”? Comment your thoughts below and don’t forget to like and subscribe!

      Not sure what problems you are experiencing so hard for me to understand the assistance you require

    Ok am I the only one not cool with a dented swing arm? Like I only got 2 points of contact and metal fatigue is a thing. Like we do replace bent forks right? We don’t just unbend them right? Cause turning a death trap into a petty death trap does not change the death trap nature of it.
    If you have bent forks it a tank slapper bent swing are I don’t know maybe it fails after an indo?

    • @MIKESBUILDZ
      @MIKESBUILDZ  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      im not concerned about a dent on a swing arm that can obviously be repaired. its a good thing its my bike and i repaired it to my specification and satisfaction.

    Bro,dont do body filler on swing arm if it is bent or take shot Replace it or dont do It. Because someone can Die for
    400$. Replace it

    • @sjevki6006
      @sjevki6006 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want to do good Job.Weld every hole in
      swingarm put presure in it and heat only bent part and material will go out because pressure make force on it. And heating it material will be more elastice. Sorry for my English but you will understand.

    • @MIKESBUILDZ
      @MIKESBUILDZ  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for the comment. The swing arm is not bent. It only has a dent on it. All the weld are in good condition and there was no stress to it. The heat gun I use does not make enough heat to make the swing arm elastic. I drilled a hole on the inside of the swing arm so I could force the dent out. Using body filler is just to make the finished look better, as you see in the video, the dent was already pushed back out and there was only a couple low spots. Drilling the hole doesn’t have any negative impact on the integrity of the swing arm. There are a few holes inside the swing arm from the factory. I hope this explanation helps you understand why i chose this repair procedure.

    This "rebuild" is WTF. Welded frame? Additional holes drilled in bent swingarm? In bike made in 2010+ year? Where elements like frame are calculated to 105% of stress and if damaged in any way, most likely they fail later in unexpected moment? If you are going to sell this bike to someone else after repair you are selling death. This motorcycle should be source of used spare parts (engine, rear wheel, maybe subframe and front fork) but definitely not being rebuilt. You put a lot of effort in it and this bike after repair is still questionable. This bike shouldnt be used except track weapon or stunt bike

      Thanks for your concern. I have addressed this before. All welds were performed by a retired aeronautic engineer with over 3 decades of welding experience and I am confident that the repairs are more than adequate. This bike will serve a special purpose and will not be hitting the streets, even if it did, it will work just fine.
